This Irish Pub was a gem in the area. The local customers and Badger fans were super friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There is a lot of selection of beers especially my favorite the Spotted Cow beer. The food was flavorful, I ordered the Pot Roast dinner special which came with Pot Roast that was seasoned well and cooked well especially for pub food. The service was quick and friendly. The food was a bit pricey at the end though. I highly recommend the food!

We stopped in for a late lunch after a day of leaf peeping. And it was great. The ladies were so nice!! And that was a huge change to what we were experiencing in Manitowish Waters. Even the patrons were friendly. I sneezed and everyone in the place said 'bless you'. We had the Shepard's Pie and Chicken Bacon ranch wrap. Everything was good. Beer was cold. I'm guessing this place is hoping when the summer crowd is there. It was our server's first day too. She was so cute! She did a great job! This was one of the few places that we can say was welcoming and very fun. Stop on by!! ***While wrapping up our lunch, a large group came in. They were having a great time, came in, said hi to us, and were very friendly. They were telling the servers about a terrible experience they just had at another local establishment that made them get up and walk out. They were treated so very rudely by that establishment and decided to come to the Shillelagh. Funny... we found that other establishment to be just as this group was saying too. Hhhhmmm***

Best Irish pub in the Northwoods! Remodeled, clean & neat with outstanding food. Habit-forming beverages with good service staff. One mile from downtown Manitowish Waters on Tower Road. During summer months, outdoor seating available. Big Badger/Packer crowd. During summer, try late Sunday afternoon live music fest in downtown MW (across from Pea Patch bar)...free...then go to this Irish bar. Photo taken March 22, 2017 after dinner with rare Badger collectibles preparing for upcoming NCAA basketball tournament game. Over sized 1963 Rose Bowl Badger ring...only 88 were made. This is my lucky Badger ring!!

The very best Reuben ever! Home made. Real corned beef - not that shaved crap. Guinness on tap. Definitely will be back.

Glad they're back after the fire! Great pizza and live music. Could have turned volume down a bit though.

Friday night fish fry is a classic. Plus it is relaxed Wisconsin "up north" atmosphere. Burgers are great too.

We pulled up on a Wednesday night in the middle of July and the place was PACKED. We were happy to be able to get a table in the "screened porch", which seemed like the pour over dining area but it was very nice and comfortable. Our waitress, Bailey was delightful! She was a hard worker and understanding the worker shortage in the north woods, it seemed they had no busboys as this poor girl had to not only serve all 5-6 tables in her section, but was forced to buss two of her own tables. Good busboys are the key to turning tables. This young lady who was fairly knowledgeable about the menu although needed to learn a little more about the specials before she got out on the floor. Nevertheless, a quick check on the proper pronunciation and definition of "Pontchartrain Sauce" had me sold on the fried walleye special. Everything is a la carte here so don't be surprised with a pricey tab. That said, IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. I started with a cup of the Hungarian Mushroom soup, which was phenomenal. This was followed up with as I say the fried walleye with pontchatrain sauce and sautéed green beans that were perfectly cooked; crunchy and delectable. My girlfriend had the French Dip with waffle fries. The beef was good, tender and well made. Drinks we well made and not weak. The bartender came directly to our table when there was a question about the flavored vodka they carried. She offered options and made the order perfect. This was a five star experience and I cannot wait to return
