Stayed here in July. Paid $400/night for a 2nd floor room in the rear, adjacent building. Would not return. PRO: 1. Location. Ocean view from our balcony (altho you mostly see the parking lot and road). Half mile walk to Narragansett beach. Easy walk to Crazy Burger and Boone St Market. 2. Beds and pillows were comfortable. 3. Minisplit for AC worked great and was very quiet. 4. We enjoyed a lovely dinner on the deck of the restaurant, overlooking the ocean. Food was very good and our server was wonderful. CON: 1. Parking. There is one spot per room, but I watched as non-guests parked to visit friends. The spaces next to the main building were full when we arrived, so we had to park behind the adjacent, motel building where parking is extremely tight, and you can only back out all the way along the lot. 2. Cleanliness. When we arrived there was black and pink mold in the shower, hair in the corner of the bathtoom, a used bandaid next to the dresser, smears of dried something on both shelves in the fridge, multiple dead bugs on the floor, and the track for the sliding door was full of debris and bugs. The glass of the sliders could use a clean, also. 3. Shower door would not stay shut our first night because the rubber stopper in the track was out of place. We had to use all the towels to sop up the floor and wring water into the toilet, and then the front desk told us they could only give us two more towels. Even after -I- figured out how to keep the shower door closed, it still leaked water all over the floor. 4. Sink. The sink is maybe 8 inches deep, but the faucets protrude most of that width, as does the shelf over it. So it is literally impossible to stand/lean over the sink to brush your teeth or wash your face. We got water ALL over the floor every time we used it, yet again, having to use up towels to mop the floor. It was super uncomfortable and awkward to use the sink - most of the time, I was bashing my head against the faucet handles. 5. Breakfast. The "breakfast" consisted of plain bagels, packets of cream cheese, and a bowl of apples. On the second day I noticed some packets of instant oatmeal. The coffee was pretty good, but the breakfast was sad. 6. To top it off, I was not given the printed hotel information upon check-in, so I did not know the Wi-Fi password (until I called the front desk to ask), did not know the hours for "breakfast", and did not know that you had to put your "please service" magnet on the door by 8 AM. Subsequently, our room did not get cleaned.

    The view from our room!

Definitely would come back here. My boyfriend and I booked a room for a weekend to celebrate our anniversary and just to check out the local area. The view and location were great but I won't stop talking about our experience with the concierge Mike. Mike has a good sense of humor, is very friendly, caring and patient. He made sure we were very accommodated for, during our stay and made great recommendations for the area. Definitely will book this hotel again !

Price listed in the room is way less than what we were charged..there was 2 inches of dust under the beds..Grossly dirty.

Positives first, because there are so few: nice views looking out of the windows. Pretty front lawn. Now NEGATIVES: -Overpriced $404 for one night off season*despite the sign on the door of a lower price guaranteed -Filthy room, rugs, walls, down right shabby [and not shabby chic] -rude help at the desk, and phone -10 am check out? Too early -no cream or milk for the mediocre coffee..for the price I paid we should have received a donut or something! -will never go back and will strongly recommend you dont go -not enough towels or TP

Excellent... some of these bad reviews are a joke, it worried us too, but saw the great ones n took a chance. We had a great stay, staff was very friendly. Even came over to explain how the heat worked, it's right on the ocean, our room was out back still nothing to complain about... room was super clean n very different than most hotels. Love the no carpets. No hotel should have carpets ...view of ocean is eh from room, it's really only about 50 yards to water. There's a nice lil sitting area in front of every room. The view from the front porch of main hotel is great. Sat in morning n had our coffee just relaxing. Bed was super comfortable, shower hot n powerful. I definitely recommend it's a great gem n prices are way better than a lot around. Maybe if your a snob ... go elsewhere!

Big bathroom tiny sink, no shelf not easy to put in contacts or do hair/make up.

Stayed in Narragansett to have an easy trip to the Block Island ferry and was willing to spend one night at a glorified motor inn. Stayed in room 9 which is directly off the kitchen, but the room was clean and quiet and big. The king size bed much more comfortable than another night with family. Only 3 stars because they really skimp on extras. 4 small pillows on a king size bed. No clock radio, no shelf in a rather large bathroom, and the tiny little sink gad no ledge. The location was terrific and we had a great, possibly hearty wa lk to the beach. Picked up dunkin donuts and enjoyed breakfast on the front porch. Note, Monday night free concert on Narragansett beach was fun and walkable.

Had a great experience. No frills because of COVID, but the location couldn't be better, and the room itself was clean and well maintained.

You want to get away, but you don't want people around you. We wanted to go the beach for a couple days since COVID cancelled our vacations. In picking and deciding, only the Atlantic House still had availability. So I booked it. Expensive for three nights, just over $1000 for a king bed on the second floor, with a balcony and ocean view. The staff was friendly, but during our three nights they didn't check the room, change the garbage or replace towels. Is this the way of COVID? We don't know. No one said anything or asked if we needed anything. There is coffee in the lobby and in the room, but we took care of our own coffee needs. We wanted to park our car for a couple hours to go to the beach after check out. We had to be out by 11, but check in isn't until 3 pm. It would be nice if they would accommodate that after dropping $1000. We were told if our car was in the lot after 11, it would be towed. Not the most welcoming position to take. Parking at Narragansett is at a super premium. This one detail is the difference between me wanting to go back there and not. We headed straight home after not being able to find parking at Narragansett or Scarborough. Nice location, clean room. Friendly staff. Expensive for what you get, and no housekeeping for three days with no explanation. Maybe it's different when there isn't a pandemic around.

The pillows on the bed are flat pancakes. They give you only 3 for a king size bed. They were so awful, we had to go buy pillows to make it through the rest of the stay.

If you chose to sleep at the beach you would have less sand than we did in our room and we didn't even go to the beach. I stayed here with two friends because we were in town for a wedding. We checked in quickly to get into the room before the wedding, but we weren't able to do a full sweep of the room, or set up our bed. When we returned to the hotel to sleep after midnight we noticed there was no one in the lobby. When we got in the room we noticed a few things: the floor was covered in sand, there was trash in the fridge from previous guests, there was no toilet paper, no paper towel, gum on the wall AND unclean sheets on the bed. When we went to check out in the morning I told the front desk of our issues expecting that they would give us some sort of discount or refund because that type of service is completely unacceptable. The woman at the desk said "oh we have had a problem with that cleaner" and "yes, the room next door to you also had a similar problem". She didn't offer any sort of compensation aside from "sorry" and she clearly knew this was an issue. I find that completely unacceptable. They should have at least taken off some amount of money for the inconvenience. When I returned home I reviewed the establishment on Orbitz as that was where the reservation was booked. This hotel had the audacity to respond to me saying that the situation was rectified and that they came to clean the room when we asked! This never occurred as we stayed in room 121 not room 119, who also had an unclean space. I find this incredibly embarrassing for them and think it is utterly disgusting that in a time when cleanliness is so important this hotel could not provide a clean space to stay.

It felt so great to just pull into our motel across the street and walk over, while having our own bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, and shower right there. It was nothing fancy. Our room had a newly updated bathroom, appliances, comforter cover. Everything was clean and neat. The air conditioner and dehumidifier were fantastic on a heat wave weekend. It looked like the owners were hard at work taking care of it with cleaning and watering the landscaping. We did not try the breakfast -- Tommy Ds is close (maybe a mile away) for a cheap, quick diner-style breakfast and there is a deli/ice cream joint just outside the hotel.
