I don't like disparaging a new business, but... Purposely waited until they were established for several months, then decided to try it a couple weeks ago. I wish I would have waited longer. I got the crepe, thinking it was one of their specialties, and I love crepes. I have no idea what it was stuffed with, some kind of uber sweet deep fried donut something? I had 2 bites, and tossed it in the garbage. The wife had the ribs, and tho she said they were tolerable, she didn't finish the small order. They were coated I mean COATED with sugar, worse than Panda Express. Why anyone puts sugar on meat is beyond my comprehension, but I guess it's an Asian thing, tho - my wife happens to be Asian, so.......? Sorry but nope, it was a complete waste of money when you can't even choke down what you are served. read more

If your idea of "real" Chinese food is overcooked vegetables, dry meat and sticky rice, then this is the place for you.

My bf and I live close by and decided to give it a try since we were both craving Chinese food. Not only did they not have an item from the menu I wanted, but when I asked for the other veggie stir-fry option I received a meat stir-fry that I did not want. On top of that the meat was incredible dry and tough, The rice had a plastic-like after taste, and everything lacked flavor. The bubble tea was ok, but not the best I've had and barely had any tapioca pearls. I ended up taking a couple bites and was so put off I stopped eating. Waste of money...I won't be back! read more

Staff was very nice and helpful. The menu was a little confusing as pictures didn't have numbers to show what dish they are. Had the house noodles and house fried rice. Definitely recommend. Food was really good. read more

As we walked in, our shoes stuck to the floor, the tabletops much the same. Portions are large but oily and tasteless. The short ribs were so dry, even the dog thought twice about eating them. I doubt the business will last the year. read more

If I could give this place 3.5 stars, I would. I wouldn't say it's a 4 star though. Definitely slightly above average. First off: the service is fast and the prices are reasonable. I say reasonable because when they started, I think the serving portions were a little bigger. Since then they've shrunk some. Secondly: talk about dedication! They're open 11a-11p, 7 days a week. That's quite the service window which is nice for people who might need a warm meal later at night. When this place started off, I was skeptical. Most of the dishes were pretty bland, but I think as time has gone on, they've gotten better with their food's taste. Lots of stuff is still pretty bland IMO, especially if you get the white or fried rice bowls, but their chow mein is definitely a redeeming quality. I also think that as they have progressed, they've gotten better at food management and figuring out a trigger point as to when to start making more food. One time when I was there, they ran out of fried rice and it took them significantly longer to fill my order (like 15 minutes compared to about 5...) . The spicy chicken (a tad too much potato) and the shredded pork with green pepper is pretty good, but my favorite is the sweet and sour pork ribs. The soups are ok as are the crepes. It also looks like they're adding to their menu. Every couple of months or so they have a new topping like teriyaki chicken (not bad) and pork belly (probably my new favorite), so check back every now and then and you may be surprised at what they've added. read more

Super fresh and authentic Chinese flavors. Ate there three days in a row after first discovery. One of my favorite places in town now. Just wish they were downtown. That crepe is bomb, the noodles are incredible. This isn't stupid Panda express Americanized overly sweet Chinese food. It's street food style. Give it a try! read more

Awesome Chinese food. This is not necessarily a place to come if you're looking for basic fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, barbecue pork type Chinese food you find everywhere else. They do have General Tsaos chicken, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and broccoli chicken for people who are looking for something familiar, but I assure you'll still experience something unique. When they label something spicy here, they aren't messing around either. Very Szechuan style flavors and dishes, using Whole spices like Szechuan peppercorn, and star anise. Large portions too. Expect to pay $10 and up for entrees, but you get what you pay for. They are working on getting combos sorted out on their menu, which would be nice. The name of the place is a little cheesy, but don't let that detract you from checking it out. I'm happy I did! read more

I began having a lunch special at The Show several months ago. I would rather have lunch there than any place I've eaten so far in Corvallis these last twelve years, and I do really like Burrito Heaven, Nearly Normal's, Fireworks, and Laughing Planet, and still have an occasional meal at those establishments. The new The Show is the real deal--authentic and well prepared Chinese food. I love their hot and sour soup, egg rolls, and particularly the curry chicken lunch special. Inexpensive, delicious, and overall a very good value for the price. read more

The Show make the best Asian food in Corvallis. I have tried many of the Asian restaurants here in town and this is my favorite place. I had egg rolls and broccoli beef. The egg rolls weren't greasy as I have experienced from other Asian places. I highly recommend The Show. read more

First time at the show after some recommendations. Food didn't disappoint. Kid friendly. Pork dumplings and chow mein were awesome. Chicken was lean and full of flavor on Gen Tso. This place is new and a new concept so it may take some time to perfect, however as whole the food is good. If you compare it to a rival such as Panda Express, there is no comparison this food is much much better and prepared with much more passion and care! I love the spare ribs. I tried the Chinese crape and thought it was odd to me but I don't like to experiment with food much, however my Asian friend thought the opposite and gets one Everytime he goes so it must be pretty good. read more

Very authentic, delicious Chinese food. This is not an Americanized Chinese place, it's geared towards those who enjoy more authentic Chinese cuisine. I really enjoyed the chef special hot seafood in brown sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked. The hot and sour soup was fantastic as well. read more

Boy yesterday's lunch was disappointing. Maybe just a "first few days open trying to figure it out" but not confident will improve. Ordered the crepe. It was ok but nothing special but they put this greasy, chewy, bland Chinese donut in the middle. We did not finish. My wife has rice bowl with 2 sides. The pork riblets were the highlight of the entire meal. Something was wrong with the tofu side.... All the ingredients were fun but did not meld at all and just wasn't that great. The new menu is awesome and you get a TON of food with each entree. My only complaint was that the brisket dry pot had lots of fat on the meat but the flavor was really good. The orange chicken is the best you'll ever have!! read more

I think my wife and I just found our new Chinese food home. We aren't from the West Coast, and I'm generally not impressed by most Chinese restaurants outside of Americanized ones, but The Show made me a believer. We've had the orange chicken and cashew chicken along with the pot stickers and crab puffs, and are definitely going back to try out more of the menu. read more

They're alright but nothing really worth going back for. The flavor was there in the dish I ordered but it was overspiced.

Gone in to get food once and it was pretty good. Just tried to order through their website though, received a confirmation e-mail that it would be delivered and then had to call in 1 and a half hours later just to find out they didn't get anything and was curtly informed that she "would not be putting in any more orders" because they were closing in 20 minutes. $6.49 for spicy chicken and fried rice. The rice to meat ratio was very skewed. Rice was full of frozen vegetable filler and the chicken portion was mostly fried potatoes. Such a waste of money. Drove from Albany to eat here with my brother and we were disappointed. 90% rice and 10% below average Kung Pao Chicken. The soy sauce bottle was really messy with dried on soy sauce all over the bottle. It looked look it hadn't been cleaned in a few days. Fingerprints all over the glass front door. Also, the service was slow. Took about 15 minutes for two of the above mentioned bowls. We won't be going back. read more
