A couple days ago I ordered $50 worth of food. I had the spicy shrimp, the egg and shrimp, potstickers, egg rolls, and crab rangoon. My boyfriend liked the spicy shrimp, but my $14 shrimp and eggs (more like eggs with 6 pieces of shrimp) ended up making me sick at 2 A.M. I was so miserable the rest of that day and would not want anyone to pay so much for food that could make them sick. Please be careful eating here, or even better, avoid eating here. read more

On a short visit to Corvallis to see my daughter my friend suggested Chinese food for dinner. My grandson looked it up for us on the internet and we decided to head to The Show. So glad we did. The food was great! Dumplings, egg rolls, hot and sour soup, Lo Mein noodles, and Sweet and Sour Chicken. So much food! And it was GOOD! There is a small area to dine in so we ate there. Lots of take-out orders going out the door. Seems like Corvallis knows about this place. Prices are about average for Chinese. I just moved to Corvallis and ordered delivery. From the order I got Fish Fillet with Hot and Spicy Gravy. This dish is AMAZING. I asked for extra hot. I had very high hopes for this place. Ordered to-go for their chicken curry. When I walked inside to pick up my food, the restaurant smelled AMAZING (like amazing yummy food!) I was so excited for my food after that. Brought my food home, start nomming on it... Chicken was very, very, very rubbery. I wasn't sure if it was even chicken. I am obsessed with this place mostly for their hot and spicy dried pot dishes!! Pork ribs and chicken wings are my favorite, and they both are seriously addicting. The Show is fun, different, and apparently authentically Chinese food. For couple of bucks there is multiple testy Chinese dish to choose from, and fresh Chinese style crepe made right out. Overall this restaurant is worth your visit, in my experience I would add except say that the overall services and food quality can be a bit uneven. But when it's great, it's great. This place has a great lunch special. You get soup, entree, rice, and crab puffs for seven dollars! I recommend the general Tsos chicken (you can also get with beef or shrimp for a dollar extra) On my second trip I got yummy steamed pork dumplings and a dry spicy pork ribs and sliced beef in a hot pot. read more

"We're like Panda Express, but authentic" said the guy behind the counter. I think that basically sums this place up. Cheap prices/look, food is mostly pre-made and in tubs (the crepes are made to order). The ordering style is even the same - you get your carb-based side and one or two entrees, plus there are a few extra dishes and drinks. The menu is pretty small, less entrees than Panda, and there was even at least one crossed off the menu. That being said, the flavors are pretty nice. I think potato gets used as a filler a lot - my friend got surprise potatoes with her Spicy Chicken entree. I got the Braised Beef w/Potato and Carrot, so I knew I'd getting potatoes and that was okay with me. There was also milk tea with bubbles, and the bubbles had the nice chewy texture (instead of crumbly), so that was good. As long as you manage your expectations on atmosphere and menu variety, this is a really good place. Nice exterior, fast food appearing interior Poor service. Primarily because the cashier was more focused on the basketball game on the TV or his laptop more than servicing the customer. Zha Jiang mian was good enough. The braised beef with potato and carrots was subpar. Dry meat. Most of what I got was potatoe, with about five pieces of meat and no sauce. If this is the norm, it might well be served as a thick soup. Potato on rice isn't a good combo, unless it's doused with curry sauce. My daughter and I had read good reviews, and thought we'd have a quick lunch. The restaurant was empty and, as we walked in, the Goth-girl (why is that still a thing?) waitress and non-descript waiter looked at us and, before acknowledging us formally, made remarks to each other that caused a lot of giggling. Though we found their behavior awkward and rude, we endeavored not to feel targeted, and sat down. After dumping the menus on our table, the young man returned to his companion, and more hilarity ensued. Finding this even more pointed and difficult to ignore, we commented on it when we placed our drinks order with the young woman, which caused them to take a step further into the kitchen, laughing even more; we still have no idea what the joke was. When she returned with a single bottled soda (we ordered 2) and asked in a disinterested voice if wanted a glass or ice, we knew nothing could entice us to spend our money at such a poorly run, juvenile establishment - regardless of the quality of the food - and left. Just the WORST. Update: The owner promptly messaged me, apologizing for the incident. I'll give their food a try, and order take out. We'll see, and update accordingly. read more

I decided to give this place a try after the comments about new management recently, but honestly I threw away a good third to half of the food. Sweet and Sour ribs = a handful of gristly bone and tons of fried potatoes covered in prefab sweet sauce (mushy potato chunks in goo didn't taste good). The potato was the same shape and size as ribs so it felt like it was going for a way to disguise the low amount of meat. Lo mein was ok, edible and a fair amount of seafood+meat but the noodles were overcooked and there were a lot of small broken pieces (most of it, under 6 inches in length). Dumplings were the best part, and we didn't finish them. Good dough, homemade, but way way way too much chinese cooking fine flavoring the meat (which was a bit gristly but not terrible) - low quality cooking wine; this stuff ruins things if the flavor is too strong. I don't recommend it, not when there are a few good to great places in town for Asian food. read more

We have been frequent flyers since the onset of the Covid restrictions. The meals have been of consistently good quality and the serving sizes are generous. One caveat if you order online. Make sure you go all the way through the order process till you get the last confirmation and a confirming email. I stopped one screen short recently and it turned out the order didn't go through. First time here...Loved it! The food was hot and fresh, modified exactly how I asked! It was burn-your-face spicy, but you expect that when you order the dish full of peppers... The establishment is small, clean and well maintained. The decor made it obvious what it was but lacked the gaudy pretense that I've unfortunately come to expect. It was refreshing! Food was chewier than deer meat. They treated me horribly. After I paid the lady at the register questioned me if I had paid when I had my receipt in my hand. Then she spoke in Chinese to ask the cooks and gave my wife and I horrible looks while inside the restaurant. Just ordered the crab rangoons because I'm a crab Rangoon queen. But these were average the wrapper was very chewy almost as if they were stale or if they were re-fried after a while or something. This place has completely changed from the Panda Express style of service when it first opened to a more sit down casual but fresh dining style feel. The servers are extremely friendly. When I entered I was given a menu, and had the changes explained to me. Everyone is friendly! I was given given a 20% coupon when I said id be coming back! I liked this place, but tonight I ordered takeout Chicken with Special Spicy Sauce. Awful. Sauce was tasty, but chicken was covered (I am talking a quarter inch layer) with completely dry chili flakes. It looked like a bag spilled onto bowl. Somebody thought it was good enough to pop a lid on it and send it to a customer! I suspect they would not serve this as they look their customer in the eye. Second, no Rice. This place is so yummy!!! It's the closest to real Chinese food I have had in town. They have a great menu and everything tastes fresh. If you want something less like American Chinese food and more like the real delicious thing go here!!!
