We had a simple breakfast of classic pancakes, eggs and sausage. It was ok. Sadly nothing to rave about the food. But Super reasonable! @ $5.99 each. The service was ok. The servers were chit chatting with the locals. Took them awhile to get to us and our breakfast. Location was far off the main highway of Snowflake at the golf course. Lots of flies. We sat at the window side. This was back in September 2018. Our total bill was $15.23 Including our coffee and water down hot chocolate. Decor is a little weird like odd rolling chairs and round cafeteria looking tables- I guess I expected it would be a little nicer on the golf course. I like to hit this nice little café in Snowflake when I am in town visiting my dad and grandma. The food is always amazing but there's one waitress that seems to have a pretty smelly attitude. Her name is Tori. A couple of months ago. My dad asked for something and you would have thought he asked to sleep with her. She treated him cold after that. All he asked for was a different kind of sauce. We like the place so much that we took grandma there for breakfast for her birthday. She is the sweetest lady in the world but Tori treated her like shit also. When we left, we decided we will never go back. Going back only invites another opportunity to be Treated poorly by a waitress with a shit attitude. All the other waitresses seem great, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is peaceful. This was the second time my husband and I have gone here. It was so delicious the first time (two years ago) and confirmed this time. The price is great and the food and service are even better. I ordered the fish basket with sweet potato fries. Husband ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with sweet potato fries. My only gripe was I wish they had had some lemons for the fish. If you're in Snowflake, you probably aren't looking for amazing 5-star restaurants. The Skillet Cafe was really good food. A good bacon cheeseburger and huge salad portions made for a good lunch in a place that doesn't have much for options. I would prefer this to fast food ANY DAY. Staff was warm and welcoming. Not much to speak of for decor or anything, but again - if you're looking for that in Snowflake you are not being realistic. I have a feeling that their breakfast is way better than their lunch. If I'm back out there soon, breakfast would be my preferred meal there. read more

My family and I have been eating at the Skillet Cafe for many years. The food is excellent, the service is the best you will find any where and the prices are very reasonable. All the staff are very friendly and really make you feel at home. If you are feeling down it's a wonderful place to go because the staff will brighten your day. They are happy and fun to be around. The restaurant is very clean and always kept that way. The Skillet is a regular family-friendly country diner. We love their Fisherman's Basket on Friday nights, take about half home each time for dinner on Sat at home. Came here for breakfast and lunch. They serve breakfast until noon. It's a no frills restaurant and is clean. The menu is basic American faire with a kids menu. The service was a bit slow but they were pretty busy. The orders all came out correct. I got the chicken fajita skillet and it was really good. They used real chicken breast and nothing fake. Everyone else's orders looked good too. The waitress happily split our bill 4 ways which was nice. I recommend this place for breakfast or lunh. read more

This place is a gem. The husband and wife team who run it are young but very, very sweet people. The food is very, very good. It tastes homemade. The breakfasts are fantastic. My cousin taught the owner in grade school so we went on their recommendation. We were not disappointed. The eggs tasted fresh, the potatoes tasted real, they use real ingredients - none of this oversalted stuff. They need a better coffee maker because their coffee is a bit too light. The place is cheery and view of the golf course is really stupendous. Gorgeous view of the hills in the morning. This place is BURIED in the middle of the golf course so you have to drive down a tiny bit to get to it - well worth the wait. Parking is really good early Saturday mornings. This is a home town place. You'll find locals here with family, children, so it's the best kept secret in the Snowflake. The prices are very good so you won't break your piggy bank. The team approach to customer service really shows - these people like and help each other. No yelling or nastiness in the kitchen (as you see at some places) the waitstaff was civil to each other and friendly to us. Our waitress was the co-owner - what a sweet, kind soul - and the friends that help out there provide great service. I'll go back to this place if these kids make it. Restaurants are a tough business and the area is growing. Bring a large group of friends they'll take care of you and your tummy will feel yummy when you're done! read more

This restaurant is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of place. It's not fancy at all but the staff is friendly and the food is good. Unfortunately, it's out of the way and you have to plan to go there. You won't drive past it and think, "we should stop there!", because it's hidden. The majority of their menu items are homemade, which is not always the case on the mountain. The food came out fast and the waitress stayed right on top of our drinks. Since Cathy came in and revamped the restaurant, the food and service has been top notch. It is the best breakfast and lunch eatery in Snowflake-Taylor, hands down.
