I had a very disappointing experience at Skin Agency and unfortunately will not be returning for any remaining sessions. The facility itself appeared poorly maintained. Lights throughout the establishment were flickering, and even the bathroom lights were not functioning properly. For a med spa offering medical-grade treatments, the environment did not feel professional or reassuring. I came in for PRP microneedling and was informed that the provider performing my treatment had only been working in a med spa setting for about four months. During my appointment, my blood could not be successfully drawn and I was poked three separate times. Afterwards, the provider forgot to even give me a Band-Aid and stated it was because she was nervous. While I understand that mistakes can happen, this did not leave me feeling confident or comfortable continuing treatment here. They did offer to substitute the PRP portion of my treatment with hyaluronic acid instead, but considering PRP microneedling is a significantly more expensive and specialized treatment, I did not feel that would have been fair for the amount of money I paid for the service. I purchased my session through Groupon because I had seen mixed reviews and wanted to cautiously try the service first before committing to additional visits. After today's experience, I asked about the refund process since the Groupon had not yet been redeemed. The receptionist with red hair initially stated they could not refund it because it wasn't redeemed, but when I asked if it could be redeemed so I could request my refund, she contradicted herself and said there are no refunds through third-party groups. I would have completely understood policy limitations if the conversation had been handled professionally and respectfully. What stood out most was the attitude of the front desk staff from the moment I walked in particularly the red head receptionist. As someone who works in customer service and as a receptionist myself, I understand how important first impressions are. I did not feel welcomed, acknowledged, or treated with kindness during my visit. I drove all the way from Long Beach to Glendale for this appointment hoping I would be in good hands, and sadly that was not the case. I strongly encourage Skin Agency to provide additional training for both their front desk staff and employees performing medical-grade facial treatments to ensure future clients have a safer and more professional experience. read more

I've been coming here for almost a year for full laser, and every time I've had such an issue with them canceling my appointments made 6 weeks ahead of time because I didn't return a confirmation text within 24h. Some of us work 12h shifts and texts are missed in a 24h window! Same thing this last time, they canceled 2 days before another appointment I had taken the day off specifically for. I give up, I was recommending this location to friends and have reversed that, bc where's the loyalty. I mean dang, you have my card on file, if I didn't show (which I've NEVER done) you could charge it. Do better for your loyal customers....... 2 stars for the nurses bc they're nice enough. But honestly, the crappy front desk service canceling appointments combined with the lackluster building and sus location is just not worth it. read more

It's unfortunate that I have to share such an unpleasant experience. Long story short, I had purchased a package for 3 micro-needling (used 2 out of 3). I had to delay the 3rd treatment due to iron-deficiency; my doctor told me to stop until my iron level is back to normal. (PRP requires drawing blood). So I was on iron supplements until now, and when I called to book the 3rd treatment, the lady said my package EXPIRED. This is WRONG & UNFAIR in many ways. 1) EXPIRY date was never mentioned when I purchased the package. 2) If there is an expiry date or extension, there should be some form of communication, but no email or phone call ever received. 3) I have NOT redeem the 3rd treatment due to a medical condition. Overall, I am VERY disappointed. As a previously happy client, I was looking to finish package + buy more treatments. The way they do NOT want to honor the 3rd treatment is a DEAL BREAKER. Frankly, I have packages in 3 different medical spas and none of the other medical spas put expiry dates on packages. (That's how reputable medical spas should be!) ** Lesson Learned: Your package/$$ will expire, so buy at your own risk. ** With Covid and so much going on, a little compassion would be appreciated.
