I called to get an appointment for a last minute Botox for my 11 lines. On the phone I was quoted 8/unit but when I ended up paying- owner said she said 12/unit. I usually don't need a lot so I asked for 14 units for my 11 lines (between brows), doctor told me I needed 20 and said he can only do 10 or 20 which is bullshit and that if I get only 10 I'd be back in 1 week. I should have left then but thought because it's only 8/unit I'll get the 20 so I did but I felt a bit conned on both occasions and ended up having to pay 12/unit. read more

This review is simply for the doctor and the boxox appointment as I've had a facial and peel and enjoyed both. Sure, price is right but the quality must be bad. 6 weeks after treatment I can successfully frown and all the wrinkles are back at my 11s. I've had Botox in the same place two other times, both lasting 3 month and one time it lasted almost 6. No, I'm no more active this time then before. Plus, he did 20 units for JUST the 11s. Again, my last two times I received 20 for the entire forehead. Lastly, I was going to bruise significantly between my eye brows and the was a dime sized nodule forming. It was hard and sore so I had to ice myself way longer then I ever should and luckily the next day it hadn't turned into the monster it was going to, but there was still a lump / bruise. Wouldn't go back for injectables again though I plan on heading there for another peel soon. read more

I had such a positive experience here! I'm not very familiar with this industry, but I've noticed forehead lines these past few years, so I decided to try Botox for the first time at a place on the westside. I had such a horrible experience at the westside place that I was afraid to ever try again, until I found Beyond Skin Med Spa. Since they are close to my house, and the reviews were so good, I decided to give them a try- And I'm so glad I did! From the moment the receptionist answered the phone, I could tell this was a good place. She was so warm, reassuring, and answered all my questions before I even decided to make an appointment. (I was really gun-shy after the experience with the last place, so I really needed to feel comfortable.) She made me feel really comfortable and even offered me a same-day appointment at the end of the day to accommodate my work schedule, despite the doctor heading out on vacation later that evening. They still managed to see me, and what's more, he didn't make me feel rushed at all. He took the full amount of time with me, listening to my concerns, and making sure I had all the answers I needed. What's more, when I told him the previous place had given me 30 units, he told me that wasn't necessary, that I only needed 20. This showed so much integrity, it really won my trust over. They are so pleasant, informative, and also affordable. I will definitely be back, and would recommend them to anyone who is feeling a little nervous about trying this procedure. read more

The staff and doctor are very friendly. Their prices are fair and I wish I could leave a positive review but I cannot. I have light skin and dark hair and came in for laser hair removal on my arms. After 5 treatments some of which were uncomfortable I am still getting lots of growback. I've been to south coast med spa and although they are much more expensive and out if the way, the results and comfort level are clearly better. Even when fully shaved the laser does sting a bit and often places will chill the area with an ice pack before the laser to avoid discomfort. That is not the case with BeyondSkin. They simply coat the area to be treated with aloe and then fire away. When I suggested for an ice pack the staff simply offered me one after the treatment once and said they were out on the other time. Despite this I could deal with it if the results were there but alas... I'll be going back to south coast and skipping my final appointment. The attached photo is after 5 treatments. Not acc Update: 12/01/2018 - 2 days ago I saw the doctor at his alternate office in Glendale where they have a different laser. This time the treatment was more comfortable and so far the results are much better. They offered me 6 replacement treatments and had cold packs on hand for after. This was my first time at beyond med spa and I had the pleasure of having Rachel as my esthetician. Rachel was so patient and educational towards my Akon. I have dry, oily and acne prone skin so she had her hands full lol. Rachel was so friendly to talk to all my concerns were met with comfort. The entire time she explained each portion of my face and why it was oily , dry or more acne sensitive. Along with the education Rachel not only told me all the steps I need to combat my complicated skin but at the end wrote it all down. I had facials in the past but this was the first facial I could actually see a difference in after the session and left educated. The area and salon were also very clean. My next appointment is already booked and I doubt I'll be going back to any other facial location. It looks like they have specials on facials all the time, but I only have been here for over the counter Latisse. I didn't have to see the doctor since I've used it before.
