I've seen Christina three times for the all-inclusive facial and the difference in my skin is night and day! I have Hashimoto's disease (which can cause slower cell turnover/ sensitive, dry, acne prone skin) and prior to seeing her, my skin was over-treated and over-dried by mainstream acne treatments. I just came back from visiting Christina for the first time, and had to jump on Yelp immediately to sing her praises. Christina, first of all, is passionate about skin care. She said so herself but she also shows it with her enthusiasm, knowledge, and sincerity. She's so fun! I received the custom facial treatment, and Christina even did my eyebrows for free (I wonder if her skin care sensibilities just wouldn't allow me to leave with untamed brows?) :) The chemical peels, cleansers, and diamond microderm were quite an experience, but she explained everything along the way and showed me progress as we went along. As a first time client and first time trying chemical resurfacing, Christina made me feel like I was in good hands and extremely comfortable. Her studio is big and beautiful with a great modern design. Very clean and professional as well. My first thought was that she had flawless skin so I had no fear that she knew what she was doing. I have been to The Skin Clinic 3 times. Everytime I notice my skin getting better. One of my friends even asked whether I started getting micro dermabrasion on my skin because she noticed the difference in my skin. I like the treatments I've gotten from Christina, and her prices are good compared to other places in the city. But she does tend to push her own products a lot, and scheduling is a hassle. She often runs late or needs to adjust an appointment time without much notice, and when I've carved out a small window of time for an appointment, that is difficult to work with. I bought a Living Social coupon for Christina's 45 min Custom Facial and it did not disappoint! She started with a brief consultation about my skin and things I've noticed about my skin, then we got right to it! She applied this luxurious cleanser that I immediately fell in love with. She had me feel my face after she applied it and I could already feel that my face was so much smoother. Then she went on with the diamond peel microdermabrasion, and ultra sonic facial toning and a few extractions. She then applied something fizzy to my face that felt like Poprocks, she cleaned it off applied some moisturizer and I was done! The 45 mins flew by, but it was very informative. I said I loved the cleanser and had to have it, and it turns out she has all of her products made for her and she sells them in-store and online! I believe all of her products are natural and paraben-free, and affordable! This face wash is only $35 and does WONDERS for your face. Huge PLUS! I really liked that she didn't push her products on you, I've had a few facials were they were very pushy but she never pushed me to purchase anything.
