I tried the El Segundo location over the summer and absolutely loved the pizza! (So far from south RB though) I was so excited to see the expansion into Redondo Beach. I am from the Northeast and finding delicious, thin NY style pizza here is like finding a needle in a haystack. Well, I found the needle and couldn't be more happy. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese and a fantastic handmade thin crust. Chef's kiss! My kid goes to school in NY and could not agree more with the quality. It's noisy, a bit out of control but... AWESOME PIZZA and BEER!!! Ordering was a bit disjointed as the employees at the front desk were working off handheld devices and placing orders that came flying at us as we barely found a spot to sit. You know when food drops almost too fast? Drink, appetizers, salad and pizza almost all at once! Do not like the small plates - too small for salad, okay for appetizers, aluminum pizza trays for pizza. I love the vibe at The S & P El Segundo, the Redondo location not as much. One men's & one women's (each) restroom - beer drinkers, you've been warned. Maybe there are more hidden restrooms in the back? Anyhow, it's a steady stream of in/out, waiting to pee after a few brewskis... In case you glossed over my opening comments, it's NOISY and a bit out of control. Next visit, I will order a beer and an appetizer, go find a table and chill. When I'm ready for another beer and the rest of my food, order then? 4 stars, it's too loud and chaotic for a 5th star... I had been going to the El Segundo location for at least a year before the RB location opened up. Excellent pizza and a fantastic beers on tap for any mood! I'm so happy they opened this RB store! There is plenty of room, which is great for meetups for parties of most any size. I also like that, unlike the ES location, I don't feel like everyone has to yell to have a conversation. The pizza is so good and with some really great ingredients combos that I had never tried before but they are really tasty! Service is always good, not necessarily attentive but always willing to help. read more

I LOVED their original location in El Segundo, and I was super excited when I saw that Slice and Pint opened in RB! Woot woot! The place was packed on a Tuesday night, full of sports fans and families. Since it was so busy we couldn't find a table, we decided to go for takeout. The takeout line wasn't crazy, and we only waited about 20 minutes for our pizza. We got the Surfing pizza (see picture below). Besides the margherita, which I LOVE from the El Segundo location, the Surfing pizza was the only other red sauce option. I REALLY hope they'll add more red sauce pizzas to their menu--nothing beats a good, authentic red sauce Italian pizza! I did take off one star because the pizza was SO GREASY! I'm not sure what's going on, but when I ordered the same pizza again and asked for less oil, it was still overly oily (see picture below). Plus, when we ordered on a Friday night, it was super busy at the takeout line. The hostess underestimated the wait time, and it turned out to be 45 minutes. The food was hit and miss. The cheese bread was delicious and the cookie was amazing according to my kids and the beer was good. However the pizza wasn't great. It was way too salty and the crust was just dry. For the price of everything I expect better service and better food. It was 120 before tip for 2 kids and 2 adults. I think the worst part was it was one of those order at the front take a number kind of places and I had to track down people to get a soda refill and a box for the pizza. If I'm paying 4.50 for a soda you better be making refills easier. And maybe put the price of drinks on the menu. I had to get up from my seat 5 times to get refills, a pizza box, put in our order and close out our order. If you are going to make it serve yourself then put out a drinks machine and some boxes. And maybe have a way to order from the table so I don't have to get up and stand in line to get dessert. I'm being generous with my 3 stars cause the concept could be tweaked and it could improve if they walk into a woodstocks and take a few notes and lower their soda prices. 4.50 is ridiculous. read more

Solid place for a large group gathering in the South Bay! LOTS of seating indoors and decent amount outdoors. Big parking lot. One pizza can feed 3-4 people. Love the different combos they had--our favorites were Belle Isle, Cuatro's Carnes, and Rob's in Maui, but we had a few more and all were a hit. This is our first visit to the Redondo Location. It is quite a loud party. Very difficult to hear the people you are eating with. Not enough bathrooms. Pizza parties and sports on TVs . The pizzas are as tasty as they are in El Segundo. We love the witbier. read more

I can't believe some people don't love this pizza! Their crust is maybe my favorite in LA. It's thin and puffy, crispy and chewy. Their Sicilian style is also super delish but you can't get it by the slice. I haven't tried much else besides the pizza and crazy yummy bread pudding! It's not cheap but it's quality, and it's not unreasonable by today's standards (get a pie if you have more than 2 people, slices add up fast). Weekday lunch special, 2 slices and a pint for $14 is hard to beat. If you have an aversion to kids running around, this place might not be for you on weekends. Lots of youth sports teams and families and it can be chaotic. Doesn't bother me. read more

Absolutely love this place! We have been hearing the El Segundo location is great, but I was honestly too lazy to drive there so happy they opened a location in Redondo. The ambiance both outside and inside is pretty loud due to street noise and sports games on the TV. You order at the cashier and then sit down and they bring out your food. Great beer and good pizza. What else do you need? A couple of things: 1. Salads are boring and extremely lazy. For $11-13 bucks, they all need a major makeover. They're just a heaping pile of underdressed greens. You know the dry, dark parts of lettuce that most of us throw away when we make a salad? They use tons of it. The dressing for the arugula salad is mostly lemon juice--needs more oil for balance. The Caesar is a plain and dry. With the Italian chopped, you have to search for the ingredients amid the mass of lettuce. 2. The pizza slices are always cut unevenly. Sometimes you get a big piece, sometimes it's tiny. Guess what? You pay the same price for both. Overall: Management needs to focus on quality control. I really looked forward to the new RB location. After four visits, I'd just as soon order my pizza take out. read more

We love the El Segundo location and decided to give this new one a try! Same great pizza but MORE SPACE. Much less stimulating than ES location, which I very much appreciated. Family friendly. Bathrooms could use some better attention - there was lots of toilet paper and water on the ground, and a bit smelly. It would also be nice if they didn't dim the lights in the restaurant so dark. I literally watched someone turn them lower while we were eating. It was 530pm and lots of families there...we didn't need the mood lighting haha But still a great spot for some yummy pizza! This place is fantastic! Too many mid reviews on here. For starters it's probably got the chillest vibes, and lots of screens to catch the games. The service is super fast, too. Order yourself and it comes to your table quick! They have really good beer selection to accompany their menu. Normal pizza/sandwich/salad menu. The pizza is really good!! The crust reminds of a place I tried in Hawaii a long time ago (mamma's island pizza) almost has a hint of sweetness that works really well with the acidity of the homemade pizza sauce. We really enjoyed the pepperoni pizza and the crispy brussel sprouts. Also their spicy blend of pepper seasoning was delicious on the pizza! read more

We arrived 20 minutes before closing. The staff was so accommodating even though they were starting the process of closing for the night. No rushing, our food came out hot and well prepared. We started with BBQ wings cooked just right and tender. Our main course was the large pepperoni pizza. There were three in our party and still a good portion of pizza to take home with us. We had never dined here before and it was very enjoyable. Next time we'll come at dinner time to enjoy the crowd and energy. I was here last evening around sunset. Sat in the outside garden tables area for my appetizer & beer before moving inside after the sun went down. Loved the ambiance! Very lively. Omg the fried mozzarella sticks are perfectly delicious. The beer is outstanding and I had an IPA. Pizza was huge and the White Dog I would order again. Thank you to the staff who all were so kind and friendly. Highly recommend. Pizza was very good and came fast, considering how busy it was. We had an olive oil based slice and a full pepperoni pizza. The crust had the right amount of crunch and wasn't too thick/thin. My issue was with the antipasto salad...it was a good size with lots of non-meat ingredients, but it had way too much dressing. It was soggy and inedible. The Brussel sprouts were dry, lacked flavor and covered with nuts, and not in a good way. I would return for pizza and not order sides. read more

Didn't realize when I left a tip on a to go order that an automatic 10% tip was applied on top of that. It never showed on my order, just my original tip amount. Anyways we bought a hand tossed surfer bird and it was excellent, easily some of the best pizza in the SouthBay. Crust was tasty, even my wife finished her crust, which she never does. Went in for the first time, and ordered the pan pizza with pepperoni, and a draft. The pizza was quite good, better than average, with the Detroit-style crispy edges (love that). The pepperoni were the higher quality kind, not the standard el-cheapo version, so, kudos for that as well. read more

So it's getting two stars because the pizza was very average for what we paid for. The salad we got was the most boring salad I've had tbh. I was kinda shocked. No one came by to ask if we wanted refills- don't know if that's on the person to go up and ask for more soda but it just felt kinda weird. The place is super loud and we were sitting at the table right next to the kitchen- which I honestly have NO clue how none of them ever ran into eachother going in and out of there. I saw multiple times they almost did because no one says "behind" or "around the corner" if any of them had ran into each other, we would have had a pizza dumbed on our head.
