I don't completely want to knock this place but it just didn't do it for me. It wasn't terrible so much as it was just average and comparable to a regular franchise restaurant. The outdoor seating is nice, our server was super friendly and the food came quickly. The price is not terrible either and it's great that they cater to dogs so well. However, the food was just meh. I ordered the one with the deconstructed crab rangoon just without bun and I ordered medium. The description sounded amazing and so much more nuanced than what actually came on the plate. I also got a burger that was overcooked. The patty was a nice size though. The fries were also just average. Were under seasoned. Considering all the pub style food in this town, I highly doubt that we will return. read more

We went here today for lunch and it was great! We brought our puppy, Izzy, and our daughters ages 1 & 2. It wasn't packed yet so that was perfect because we got a nice shady spot under a tree. The food was delicious and the staff was very excited to be there, at the very least our server Meghan was. She made sure we had everything we needed and then some and was very friendly, even offering to help us when she saw we struggled a bit getting the girls to sit down. Ate at Sneaky Beagle tonight. They mention a 3.85% cash discount in multiple places on the menu. I elected to pay cash and even though the second party at our table got their credit card back within a couple of minutes we hadn't seen any change after 20 minutes. Our waitress ignored our multiple attempts to get her attention and when we finally had someone else get her for us she said she was still waiting for them to make change for us. When we complained to the general manager about the situation after paying cash, she informed us that is not their policy to give change back on cash purchases. Where is the benefit of paying cash? Finally got our change after nearly 30 minutes. read more

I was excited to try this place because they are dog friendly. It started out well with a bowl of cold water for my dog. Then the flies arrived with the food which made it a most unpleasant experience. Wanted a good burger, simple right? Took one bite, couldn't taste anything but onion, raw red onion, WTH? We had a couple tacos. The tacos were solid but unfortunately the sweet rice I had was disgusting. Their sides aren't really "taco friendly". My husband and I recently spent a week on Oahu for our daughters wedding. We ate poke everyday and it was just unbelievably delicious. When we came home to Myrtle Beach we were looking for something similar. We found it at Sneaky Beagle. We both had the spicy ahi poke bowl (OMG) we could've been in Hawaii all over again. It was fresh, flavorful and creative. We also had the crab Rangoon rolls and they were simply delicious. Service was outstanding. Hannah was patient and very friendly. Ordered online to go. Child has allergy to dairy- so on special instructions I specifically put no cheese- it came with cheese. Melted down into the turkey so we had to throw it out when we got home. Also didn't come with the beverage. My impossible burger was tasty minus the brown spots on the lettuce- our pasta salad tasted a few days old. Didn't eat it. Had a good band tonite, and the service was good. Unfortunately the food was horrible. My wife got the fresh bruschetta and a portabella taco. It's January so fresh is a relative term but fresh it wasn't. This one actually smelled bad. We'd figured out its got jarred minced garlic in it. The bite of raw garlic doesn't make it fresh, it tastes rancid. Also the guacamole on the taco was brown. I got the sneaky shrimp with rice. It was as sweet as cotton candy. I think it's made with Aunt Jemima maple syrup with some red pepper flakes for spice. The vanilla rice actually has fake vanilla extract in it and its Just gross. After eating 1/4 of the shrimp a taste of rice and a bite of bruschetta I gave up. I think I may now be diabetic. We live in NMB and won't be back... ever!! read more

We have been coming to the Beagle for a long time, food is great, people are even better. The only issue I have as a previous bartender is the fact that the people BEHIND the bar have to enter all call in orders to go. There should be a POS system in place for the people taking the orders on the phone. Why make the person on the phone "write the order down" and then take to the bartenders that are already super busy? To many mistakes can happen, and takes the bartenders away from the bar. Living in Carolina Forest makes this place super convenient, and after numerous visits I can't say enough good about it. Being part of the Grumpy Monk "chain," the Beagle is a great spot, especially for happy hour. You really can't beat the prices, from $2.99 sushi (which is always good) to $2.50 rail drinks. Popular liquor brands start around $3-3.50, so still a good deal. The bartenders are great, especially Greg, and they are usually very busy. Wide variety of food (Thanksgiving potato skins are definitely worth sampling) Burgers, sandwiches, tacos with ingredients you don't normally see are all excellent. Yes, bar food, but hey, it's a bar. Live music regularly as well as trivia nights. As locals, this is our "go to" choice more often than not. I almost hesitate to recommend this place because I really don't want too many tourists crossing over the Waterway to our hidden gem... Keep up the good work! read more

The food was good. They allow dogs. I Iove dogs, but when they look up at their owner's eating for a half an hour, it seems kind of cruel. They can put a shirt on the dog, maybe a scarf, and a gold chain--but it's still only a dog--not a child--and we can tell the difference.
