This is the first Spice and Tea Exchange I've been to that has a tea bar so you can get a cup of any of the twas they sell. Make sure you pick up one of the coupon box around town and you'll find a coupon for buy 1 get 1. I got the blueberry crush and strawberry trifecta and bith were really good. Service was great and the woman running the store was very friendly. Lots of different teas, spices and other cute tea accessories like steepers and even candles. read more

Nice tea and spice shop - many varieties of each. We went here specifically for some loose leaf tea and found an immense selection. Everything is sorted by tea type and easy to find what you are looking for or to find something new. It's really nice because they have these glass jars with tea leaves in them and they are all labeled so you can open them up and smell the tea to see if you like it. The people that work there were very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. We left with several bags of new tea to try and an infuser mug. read more

Anytime we are traveling and I find one of these stores I have to stop in. Typically they served fresh brewed tea however this one didn't. So I was disappointed since it was a cold day and I really wanted a hot drink. Staff was friendly and they had plenty of choices for tea and spices. I got the limited peach black loose leaf tea to try in addition to a new steeper with a cute bear on the end. After all we are in bear country. :) read more

Stopped in here while in the village to go to the pancake pantry. If you're already here, it's definitely worth a stop. I wouldn't go out of my way into the crazy downtown Gatlinburg for it, but glad we stopped in. They have a large selection of loose leaf teas, spice blends, herbs, salts, peppers, and lots of accessories and gifts. Seems most items are sold in baggies so you can repackage them as you wish into bottles or whatever. There's also little smelling bottles in front of each item. I only got spices, no tea, and I found the prices maybe only a tiny bit higher than specialty spice stores back home. I got 2 spice blends, a roasted black garlic salt, and coconut sugar. I have never been in a shop quite like this one. They have your standard teas that you have always had, but there are so many amazing options here that you can really branch out and trying new things. Tea and spice samples are presented in pretty glass jars that you can open and smell so you can make informed decisions about your purchases. They have lovely accessories, tea cups and spice grinders. The employees are helpful but not pushy. read more

I was really excited to visit this little shop. I saw several people walk in and out. Everyone was greeted with a warm welcome and I was completely ignored. It was uncomfortable enough that even when I wanted to ask for help, I didn't. I did buy something just because I did like the shop and their variety, which is why I gave it two stars. Even when I checked out, they just packed my things in a bag, said goodbye, and turned their back. Super awkward and unwelcoming, especially when they were overly sweet to everyone else that came in the store. I adore this store. I was here 5 years ago when it first opened, and I was so happy to come back and see it was still open! Their tea is TOP notch at amazing prices. Honestly I would pay so much more for the great quality of this tea, but they keep it affordable which is so great. & their employee Sarah was SO helpful and sweet! There was no pressure to purchase, though I did end up getting a lot! She knows her stuff so well, I've never been out of there so quickly with so many teas. This was my favorite store I found while walking along the strip. I have a love for herbal tea, and this was like heaven to me. It smelled absolutely wonderful inside. I could stay there all day just for the smell. They had multiple bags of herbs for tea, quite a good size of each and for 4.99 each. There were also many spices but I didn't really buy any. Also there were tons of varieties of tea. I recommend the hazelnut cookie. YUMM!!! They also had a lot of neat things just for stirring your tea with. One of which was these little circle things that are like miniature spaghetti strainers, you put your tea inside and stir it into hot water and let it sit however long you'd like. I thought it was nifty. I recommend this place! It is a must see! read more

There are a lot of cute little shops on the main drag in Gatlinburg, but the Spice & Tea Exchange is one you should make a point to check out. The woman working was great, she gave some suggestions and made sure we knew about their specials, without being overbearing. Everything was clearly marked and easy to peruse. This store in The Village smells heavenly! The selection of sugars, spices and teas in good. My only complaint is they are very expensive. Three 2 oz bags of tea costs me over $35. The flavors were unique though and since they were a gift I didn't mind so much. Also, I won the money in the casino in Cherokee, NC so it wasn't a big deal. LOL. The ladies who work the shop are friendly and knowledgable. Of course once I got home I found out there's one of these stores in Downtown Disney. Maybe not so unique after all. I do like the fact that you can make your own blend of tea or buy pre-packaged tea blends. Not good for the every day tea drinker, but as a treat it's nice. I will go back again when I'm in Gatlinburg. read more
