I don't understand the Yelp ratings in this town, because I feel The Spoke should be better reviewed than many other options. Their burgers are great - the medium they cook them to is juicy and just right, and I love a place that lets me build my own. I also loved the onion rings, with the perfect ratio of breading to onion. If you have a family, steer clear. Took us 40 mins to be seated, sat outside with no coats in 40 degree weather, patio heaters were junk, food took 45 mins and it was barely mediocre. Worst place in Moab that we visited for customer service!!!!!!! Went earlier in the day for Apps and a drink... apparently they don't want business or they are just totally confused when 5 people walk in together. Employees were rude from the get go. In an empty restaurant, it was tough to get a second drink. Thought we would go back at night and try ice cream (the girl serving ice cream was lovely and first kind person we encountered) We wanted to come in and sit down for ice cream, that was an issue... you see, sitting down in an empty table with no line whatsoever on a Friday night was a problem. We were told tables are for dining guests. In the end, there are many other places I would go for food or beverage before even attempting here again. Lots of potential but misses the mark! For our last night in Moab we were very excited to try the Spoke on Main. They've got a great location, an even better menu and a great motif. The food was pretty good! The service, less so. When we arrived we were told there would be a twenty minute wait. We were quite surprised because as we looked around the restaurant there were several empty tables. When we enquired about several empty tables in the area around the bar we were told that there were already people seated there, despite them being empty. Interestingly enough we were seated there 5 minutes later. The "twenty minute wait" seemed to be self imposed by confused and slow service. Shorty after being seated, our drink order was taken and we quickly received our drinks. After that it was about thirty minutes before we saw our server again. In that time we kindly asked both the manager and then our waiter (once we saw him again) to turn on the Sunday night football game. Twenty minutes later with still no football we kindly asked the waiter again if it would be possible to turn on the game. He replied "We're very busy serving our customers!" We were quite surprised at this answer because he seemed to be spending more time chatting with the other waiters than serving customers. How hard is it to change the TV channel? Food was ok. The little one had the Macaroni and Cheese which was very good. The Fish and Chips were excellent and the Meatloaf was original and well done. The Cheesesteak was uninspired and heavy on bread. The Spoke on Main has all of the ingredients to be the best spot on Main Street but still has some work to do to compete against all of the experienced competition in the neighborhood. read more

Best food in Moab in my opinion! We tried many places during our trip and I'm a foodie and this place did not disappoint! I don't like macaroni at all however my 9 year old does and orders it everywhere we go lol. When her plate hit the table my husband and I were sneaking bites of this amazing children's dish! just the appearance is tempting. I'd bet money that it would place In a MAC contest. So creamy and packed full of flavor. I was so excited my daughter didn't want her garlic bread. It was amazing with the leftover cream sauce!! Lol enough about the kids meal.. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and ate it all. It's was fried perfectly and the bun was buttery and soft. Their fries and dipping sauce were also very tasty. If I had to think of one negative thing about this place it was that the ac vent was blowing directly at us causing me to go to the car to get my jacket ... lol. They have a fun place and drink selection is pretty good however my husband and I went in for the first time for a quick drink and app ( loaded fries) and the fries were AWFUL! They appeared to have been sitting out for a long time, the cheese was either not melted or hard. All the fries were super over fried, and everything else was cold. Well we happen to come across this place after walking Moab and not finding some restaurant to eat. It looked like a good place to try since it looked packed. Well we were greated at the front and sat. Well our server Steve brought us water like a minute after we were sat. Then we just sat looking around the place made eye contact with most of the employees walking around but no one asked or said they would be right with us. Well then we waited about 3 minutes to get him back and take our drink order, so by then we knew what we wanted. Well after we placed our order we didnt get our food till about 15 min later we no attention to us, as the place was dying down so our server Steve was no where to be seen. Not sure why it has a sub-4 star review. I arrived at about 1145 on a Thursday after a morning of riding. Was seated right away and had a beer in my hands in 2 minutes. Ordered the Hawaiian chicken sandwich with a side of veggies. Granted, there were not many people, but it came out in 10 minutes. Sandwich was great and had a very large piece of chicken. Stopped in this morning 7/10/21 and wanted to sit at the empty snack bar seating. We were approached by the male hostess/seater greater who stopped us and asked us how he can help us. I told him we wanted to sit at the bar and have some ice-cream and a glass of wine. He said that we need to order food, not just ice cream if we wanted to sit. Okay, we're having ice cream and wine. He said, no you will need to order a basket of fries or a lunch item from the menu if you want to sit. It's 108 degrees today, so we wanted to sit inside the cool building and relax with ice cream and a drink. He told us to go to a couple of different places that sell ice cream instead of allowing us to sit inside at the snack bar. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, especially since I've been there several times in the past and sat and had ice cream and a glass of wine at the snack bar. Obviously, we left and won't be spending money there ever again! As we're driving away in my off road vehicle we got a dirty look from another male wait staff that was serving on their outdoor patio. That left me wondering if they didn't want motor sport enthusiasts coming into their establishment since they are a bicycle themed restaurant. We drove to the Moab diner and I called the restaurant in order to speak to the manager. The same guy answered the phone and when I asked to speak to the manager, he stated that he is the manager. I have my doubts that he is the manager and he was most likely intercepting calls because he is probably used to having people call and complain about his bad attitude. I asked him if they made more money from two ice cream cones or a basket of fries. He admitted that two cones cost more than the basket of fries. I then stated that ice cream is food, it just has different ingredients. He then said that all indoor seating in reserved. I then had to inform him that the message on the voice recording before you can make your option choice says that the restaurant is no reservations, only first come first served. He also said that all restaurants that serve ice cream will not let you sit inside and eat ice cream, so I asked if that was true with the Moab diner and he said, "yes, and I know the owner very well and that is also their policy". I then had to let him know that I actually live in Moab and he is simply lying because I have frequented both restaurants and had only ice cream at both in the past. Since we were right outside of the Moab diner, I called them and asked if we could come in and be seated for only ice cream. The person that answered the phone said "yes, of course but we are very busy and you may need to wait a little while for a seat". It's very sad that there are people possibly left in charge to decide if they want to serve someone or not for whatever reason that that particular individual may have! It's the consumers choice as to what the ingredients of the meal is that they want to eat and drink and we should not be dictated to by a lying hostess whom is the first contact that people have to encounter in order to get the meal. If the owner or this so called manager can't add simple math and realize that he could have made more money for the establishment by selling two ice cream cones and two glasses of wine instead of a basket of fries (which we had no interest in since we just had breakfast) then something is seriously wrong with this place! Update: I just read another review that stated that they were an interracial couple and was ignored and wasn't seated while others were taken care of as they walked in. My daughter ordered scampi with chicken and wooded it down like it was her last meal. No leftovers for her! We are in the area for three days and will make another stop here. This place was okay, service wasn't great, meal was okay. I ordered the pasta carbonara, the garlic bread was okay definitely not the best I have ever had, it tasted familiar. I think the actual food would have been better with out the cream sauce, it wasn't my favorite. I was about to give it three stars when I remember how amazing the chocolate milkshake I got was, it was so good literally the best chocolate shake around. After already walking out of a restaurant earlier in Moab we decided to try this place based on its professional appearance and reviews. We were quickly sat and we're excited by the ambiance and feel of this restaurant. Our server was not too far behind on making contact after we were seated. Also a good sign. I was very hungry so I immediately ordered the chili cheese fries to get something coming ASAP and we got our drink order in right away which was a blessing compared to the last place we were just at. The disappointment comes after our chili fries 15 minutes after being ordered finally hit the table and the cheese is completely hard and they have been burnt in , what I would imagine, the cheese melter, what a disappointment. As soon as the server set them down I saw her eyes look at them and she knew right away that they were not correct yet she decided to test us to see if we would notice or say anything. They should have never left the kitchen to begin with. Step one, whoever is in charge of that kitchen or running that line should never have put those in the window. Step two, the server should have looked at them herself and made the kitchen remake those. We let her know that they were not acceptable and that we would like a new plate. She agreed yet left them on the table and took our Burger orders. Our burgers came out before our reorder of chili cheese fries and by that time we had decided we no longer wanted them. I mean come on, it's chili cheese fries. I am a professional chef. It takes two minutes to make fries put chili on them and another thirty seconds to melt some cheese. Very unprofessional. I ended up paying $50 to be disappointed. How sad. Our restaurant industry is failing. It's not just this restaurant but I feel disappointed almost every time I go out these days. And this was the case long before Covid so not an excuse. Come on guys. It's chili cheese fries. Get your shit together. read more

Don't eat here. Nick is rude and unprofessional. He appeared to be the manager. He was quick to point out how unhelpful he could be. Our party of 10 which, consisted of a 75 year old, were advised our table would be 25 minutes. At 30 minutes I could visibly see our table was ready, but Ethan the host wouldn't seat us. At 35 minutes I asked Nick if he would seat us since Ethan was helping the people in front of him. Nick complained and refused to seat us. When I pressed him, he visibly slammed the menus and grabbed silverware and stormed up the stairs. Half way up he turned around and shouted "are you coming?" This is a great place! Decor is original and the ambiance relaxed but hip. Fish tacos were great--they subbed veggies for the rice--no charge. My husband's BLT with avocado was great!
