I like the idea of this place a lot. Fresh, quality ingredients and healthy menu options everywhere. In an ideal situation I'd probably frequent this place a lot more. Unfortunately our (my bf and I) experiences have been consistently 3-star services. They just take way to long to get their orders out every single time we're there. The last time we both ordered paninis and it took them 34 minutes to get them out. Do they only have one panini grill so you have to do one at a time? I mean mine was just some tuna and apples... do they make everything from scratch per order? Or maybe the ambience is so chill the workers just move slowly which is totally believable because after we came in it started to get busy and only one guy looked like he cared to pick up the pace. And on top of the really long wait for our paninis they forgot to make our smoothies!!! And magically that only took a few minutes once the realized how long we were waiting. Their smoothies are killin'! Those and the fruit bowls are suuuuper good. But I don't think anything else on the menu is worth the wait. read more

I love coming here, but today I observed four customers walk out due to the line (approx 815am) and 1 more said she was there for the first time and was about to leave (although she didn't it was a bad first impression I'm sure). I don't think it was because of how long the line was I think it was because for approx 10 min no one was at the cash register helping the line move. Nor were they addressing with the line why it wasn't moving. (I.e. Apologizing for the wait, saying they'd be right with us, etc). Truth be told they were all very busy making the other orders (3 people working and hustling), I just hate to see a great local business like this lose business unnecessarily! I will continue to come here because they have delicious smoothies and Acai bowls but hopefully today's observations won't be a continued issue... I hope the people that left give it another chance, like I said, I love coming here and if you haven't tried it you should definitely give it a try! read more

I bought a Groupon to try this place and met my husband there for lunch. We each ordered a pizza, a bbq chicken and a margherite, and the juices we ordered were the grasshopper and I ordered the liquid lozenge (which is served hot). It seemed like forever before we received our order. The pizzas were good, but not great. Personally, I think Pieology is better (and faster). As for the juices, I don't think they are worth the $6 or $7 they charge for them. The liquid lozenge was DISGUSTING! It is a mixture of grapefruit and other citrus juices with ginger. But it had WAY too much ginger in it and gave it a sour aftertaste. I had to put sweetener in it to try and drink it and finally I asked for a cup of ice with the hopes that it would make it palatable - it did not! I am glad that I only spent the $12 on the Groupon to try this place - I would have been ticked off if I spent the $26 that was the original price for our meal. read more

This is my family's and I favorite place to eat. It has really really good food and has a gluten free option for my child who has celiac disease. She always wants to go here for food all the time. Came here at about 11am for an early lunch. After paying for our meal it took another 30 minuets for someone to come and tell me they didn't have what I ordered. I ordered something else. After waiting for 50 minutes I went into to ask about my order. While I was standing there I was asked if I was "waiting for something?" I explained what I was waiting for I was told they were "short staffed" and have been "backed up for two hours" and they would "let me know when it was ready." I could have done without the attitude. After an hour of waiting I decided to go and check again and my order was just sitting there. It had been packed up to go (which I didn't ask for) and my salad was not the correct size. The food was ok at best. The service was horrible. I waited an hour for two salads. And I wasn't the only one. There were two customers ahead of me who had to have their orders made again (one was burnt because they "didn't set a timer" and the other melted because it was sitting there too long). read more

Just left. I've been coming to spot cafe for over 6 years now. Love Paul, unfortunately he wasn't there. Walked in the two employees working did not even look up at me as I walked in, to busy looking down changing the music selection and conversing with one another. So I said hello. They both looked up at me as if they hadn't even noticed I walked in, I was literally right in front of them. There was nobody in the store, nobody to distract them accept for themselves. So when the gentleman finally walked over to greet me, after a second of looking at the female give me the death stare, I told him never mind. I told him the vibe was not cool. So I left. I rarely yelp, but this is necessary. Maybe this post will encourage the staff to take customer service seriously. I was a server for 10 years so I know exactly how guests should be treated. I would never allow anyone that gives me the death stare and looks at me like I'm the crazy one for walking into their establishment, to make my sons or my food and drink. #badvibes read more

I am so sorry to share the truth about this place. I so much liked it and frequented it over the past 6 months! However, I noticed the fruits/vegs were not WASHED. The little stickers were still on the apples, oranges, etc. The orange juice and kale juice were in a container -- they were not freshly juiced for my drink. (The juice loses its vits after being squeezed.) The workers did not wash their hands or wear gloves. Often, they forgot an ingredient (such as the ginger root.) In addition, they were very inefficient in taking orders and getting them out. There is a long wait, not because there are lots of customers, but because the staff is not organized. And last, the ingredients are not ORGANIC, so there are lots of toxins in the drinks. This is not a good place. read more

We've tried: the Beets Me juice which was sweet and spicy (ginger) - yum. The Grizzly Bear is chocolatey goodness (husband likes this one). The Baseline is tropical and enjoyed by everyone in our fam. Smoothies are definitely kid-friendly, so I like to come here with my kid, grab a drink, and sit outside under the shade. I came in for the first time the other day and the woman working the counter was very helpful; I was looking for a refreshing juice and she led me in the right direction. I also took home one of the rice bowls, which was a generous serving with delicious guacamole, but nothing too special. The juice was what made my visit.
