In the mood for quick grilled meats or shabu shabu? Just pop over to Cocary. You don't have to have soup and can just have grilled protein or veggies. It's quite reasonable as each protein meat plate is about $5. To note - you are seated and then just help yourself to the items in the refrigerators. Everything is labeled. There is no charge for rice. There is however a charge for the house sauce, about $3 per bowl. I recommend this place for quick self serve grilled meats and shabu shabu.

We've been coming here for years. I can't believe I haven't written a review yet true the price has gotten a little bit more and the portions have gotten smaller but just like everything. It's a sign of the times. It's great that they have unlimited free, rice or porridge. We like that you have the soup and you can grill your own meats as well. They will refill the broth if you need more. They have a wide assortment of different meats, different seafood and different vegetables as well as they have Boba offerings and some pudding for dessert. It's very self service get up and grab your own trays from the refrigerated section and cook it on your own. there is butter if you need it. It's very casual. It can get crowded and you may start smelling like food despite the vents.

Cocary is a hotpot/ bbq kind of place, it's nothing fancy compare to the usual kbbq or shabu shabu. I went here on a Friday night and was seated immediately. The interior of the restaurant looks old and run down but don't let that be the judge of it. The waitress gave us our utensils and tea. How it works is , there is a pot/grill in the middle of the table where it is shared among your party. The broth was simple but yet very comforting. I could be wrong but it did taste like chicken and rice wine. It was very a familiar taste. The dishes of meats, veggies, fish balls and your typical hotpot hot pots are all in the fridge when you can go and grab. The place is not ayce btw it's is per plate of whatever you grab and the price is different depending on the plate. The satay sauce is about $3 per small bowl. Rice is free and I think there is also sweet potato porridge as well. The food here is good and simple. The service here is pretty much self serve where you grab your own food. However the waitress did refill our broth for us. There's a street parking in the front of the restaurant and there's also a parking lot in the back of the restaurant.

I was recently introduced to this spot and absolutely love it. There are places you go to eat for a great dining experience. And there are places that you go because the food is absolutely unbeatable. This place is definitely the latter. The ambiance and service are not bad here but it's relatively low-key and almost a self-service spot. Their soup base and marinate on their meat is absolutely amazing. The price especially at lunch is insane for the value. And it has a really cool retro diner vibe as well

Ever constantly go to a place without ever knowing the price? lol My family and I have been coming here ever since I was little. I realized we constantly be grabbing plates without ever knowing the prices of each plate. We never bother to check if the prices gone up. This is how much we adore and enjoy this place. We would ask for the check, see the total, and just paid & tip. Yesh, depending on which server...the services can be meh. Even so, we always have such a great time here. The foods always hit the spot. The broth is always flavorful. They don't really marinate the meats, but once we grill it..the taste? AMAZING! They offer free rice, porridge, and tea. Parking available RR avail This is such a great place to enjoy with friends and family. There are so many hotpot & bbq around. This place remains to be my favorite.

Definitely the old school type of shabu shabu at Cocary. I've never heard about this place until recently. A good option if you want to try something different. Lunch is the best time to go since it's 15% off. Everything is self serve so service is non existent here. They have refrigerators where you go and pick out the veggie or meat you want. They charge by plate and each plate is about $4.39ish. Don't forget to get the butter and slap it on the grill before grilling. Yea, they charge for the butter too. Surprisingly, the meats had decent flavor. They have chicken, beef, lamb, pork. The only things they don't charge for are water and rice. Parking lot in the back.

I had a great experience here. Came on Saturday at 7 pm and didn't wait at all. They have a lot of free items like butter, rice, porridge, and tea. Pretty much you pay for anything that you pick out of the refrigerators. Meats and seafood was $5 a plate while veggies were like $3. Certainl fun to be able to cook both hotpot style as well at kbbq style grill. Food tasted fresh but will say certain dishes were more worth it in terms of "value" like $5 worth of a chicken plate is definitely not worth it since it's the same size as the beef. Service was good and everything tasted great. For 3 people I spent $52 eating 9 meat plates and one veggie plate. I'd be back!

We tried meats #1-3 from the regular menu and #8-9 from the weekend/dinner menu. Overall, the meat quality was decent, but I would definitely recommend ordering from the weekend/dinner menu if it's available. Those selections were noticeably better than the standard options. The service was attentive throughout our meal. The staff checked in regularly and promptly took our next round of meat orders whenever we ran out. You can order up to three items per round for the table. As expected for an AYCE (all-you-can-eat) hot pot restaurant, there were self-serve stations for vegetables, seafood, noodles, and sauces along the back of the restaurant. The vegetables were fresh, and the buffet areas were clean and well maintained. Parking was also convenient since the restaurant is located in a plaza with plenty of other stores and restaurants.

When we arrived on a Saturday night, the restaurant was moderately busy, but the wait wasn't outrageous. Our server did a great job explaining how everything worked. It's 90 minutes of all-you-can-eat for $35.00 per person, and you're allowed to order up to three types of meat per round. The restaurant is set up well. Off to the left is a self-serve station stocked with vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, seafood, and other hot pot essentials. Drinks are also self-serve, and they even have a soft-serve ice cream machine if you want something sweet after your meal. One thing I really appreciated was the variety of hot foods available. They offered items you don't typically find at a standard shabu restaurant, which was a nice surprise. I also noticed a sign explaining that the hot food selection changes regularly, so each visit may offer something a little different. There's also a dipping sauce station where you can customize your sauces exactly how you like them. I ordered the house broth, which had a mild, lingering spice. It added plenty of flavor without leaving that overpowering heat that lingers long after you're done eating. My partner chose the miso broth, which was rich, creamy, and earthy--you really can't go wrong with a good miso broth. The meat is sliced fresh after you place your order, and you can definitely tell the difference. The slices were tender and cooked beautifully in the broth. They also offer four different noodle options. I went with the classic egg noodles this time, but next visit I'll probably try the buckwheat noodles since it's been a while since I've had a good bowl with them. When you're finished, you simply pay near the entrance, making the checkout process quick and easy. My only real complaint was that it was a little difficult to flag someone down when I needed more broth added to my pot. I like keeping enough broth in the pot so it doesn't begin to scorch the bottom, and it took a bit longer than expected to get someone's attention. Other than that, I really enjoyed the overall experience. The staff gives you plenty of space to enjoy your meal without constantly interrupting, making it a great place to catch up with family and friends. The music was at a comfortable volume, allowing conversations and laughter to fill the room without having to talk over loud speakers. One thing to keep in mind if you're coming with a large group: the largest table I saw comfortably seated six people. Since the tables are bolted to the floor, larger parties will likely need to split between multiple tables. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Between the fresh meats, customizable broths and sauces, the rotating hot food selection, and the relaxed atmosphere, All That Shabu is a great spot if you're looking for quality hot pot in a laid-back setting. At $35.00 per person, I thought it was a great value. With tax and tip, our total came to $92 for two people, which felt very reasonable for an all-you-can-eat meal with fresh ingredients and plenty of variety. I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing hot pot experience with friends or family.

I read reviews which expressed frustration over the service, and I felt like that helped manage my expectations. I know it's a very tough time for restaurants, and I hope they are able to smooth things over soon. We were greeted when entered and we waited a bit to get seated. We were seated at a very large table, which felt funny since it was just three of us. It took some time to get menus. I walked up to grab them, but staff said they would bring it over. Once we ordered, food was quick to come out. Refill requests initially were promptly responded to, but as the first round of customers ended their meals, the service was backed up. It took some time to get refills and the check. Luckily we weren't in a hurry. The menu isn't entirely clear, so we had a couple ordering hiccups. Generally, easy problems to resolve. My family and I enjoyed the food. The vegetables, meat, and sauces tasted good. I really liked their goma dare (sesame sauce), which is my favorite part of shabu shabu. The brown rice portion was substantial, but the rice was reheated and dry. The ramen portion, while tasty was small, like ~1/3 of the rice portion. I personally, like to eat the carb throughout the meal, which means ordering more. The space is large with a lot of hard surfaces. I wouldn't say it is a quiet space--it is good for groups. We also sat closer to the door, so my elder family members were a bit cold while we waited. However, once the burners were going, it didn't feel as cold. The three of us ate for ~90 without tip, which can make sense for folks who don't want to pay $55pp for AYCE dinner. However, I think AYCE lunches at other restaurants during the week are a better value and can have smoother service. Just like many things in this world, my experience isn't black and white. There were things I liked and things that could be improved. I think it's worth a shot for others to try, as long as they can be open minded about the experience and patient.

Other places have passed them by in some respects First there is no sauce bar here. Just four small containers of sauces you can use. Ironically none of those sauces are soy sauce. I wanted more as far as the sauce goes and I thought a sauce bar was pretty standard these days Second there is no AYCE bar with small snacks.
