In my opinion one of the better family style hk cafes Staff is great, my dad was ordering ( I didn't catch it because my Cantonese is non existent) the waitress caught it and recommended something from the dinner special because it was cheaper. I feel like the care more about the service they provide before getting the table to rack up a bigger bill. Very family oriented vibe. I got the chicken steak with pasta, the chicken skin Soo crispy.

Classic HK cafe I've been going while growing up. My comfort food of baked chicken steak on fried rice and seafood chow mein. Good tomato sauce on the fried rice with some melted cheese on top of the chicken steak. The seafood chow mein has a tasty gravy and crispy edges. Lemon iced tea is refreshing and comes with refill. Complimentary bowl of soup as well. Good service here! Restaurant split with a cafe side and a BBQ side.

We went on a Monday and it was not crowded. The BBQ place is adjacent to the restaurant. The waiters were very friendly and generous, more than the owner LoL!! NOTE - there is a call button next to your table so you don't have to try so hard to get attention!! Perfect system We tried 4 different dishes today and lunch special- pork with Tofu really good. We choose fried tofu over soft. We wish the pork had skin but no. It was a good place to catch up with friends and family because there is NO loud background music!

Order the three delicacy bbq lunch special for $13.50. It came with your choice of tea or coffee, and a side of creamy soup. Also bought a soufflé and fruit juice drink. Everything was okay. I liked that the fruit juice drink was not sweetened. Definitely don't get the souffle. It was just foam and a side of whip cream. Service was okay. I had a hard to time getting someone's attention and then realized later they had a button bell at the end of the table. The button is very helpful.

Sometimes the 3-star ratings in SGV are the best ones. U2 actually has good service and good food. They're located on the corner of Valley Blvd and Vega. When you exit New Ave from the 10, head north. They have an odd parking situation as the entrance is around the corner. There's plenty of parking though. They have a lot of space inside for seating. At the time of my visit recently, they were decorated and very U2-themed. There is a fun "I love U2" sign near the bathrooms. I got the baked bolognese, and it was good! I recommend getting the lunch deals here. You can add a drink for only $2.25 and the coffee/teas have free refills! Their happy hour is 3-5 PM every day, including weekends. Servers mostly speak Cantonese but English/Mandarin are good too. Something to note is they are so close to the daycare center. There's kids screaming to be heard all the time. so far I have tried U2 cafe only through door dash and have yet to be disappointed. So far I have tried 1. Baked curry chicken on fried rice 2. Grilled chicken steak (comes with veggies and choice of pasta, fries, rice) and I got mushroom sauce 3. Pork cutlet with veggies, pasta and mushroom sauce The portions are huge (I can eat it for two meals) and I actually like the vegetable medley more than other Hong Kong cafes so that's a plus ! Ever since I tried the baked curry chicken on fried rice (there's fried potatoes in the curry), I couldn't wait to try more things. I LOVE baked pasta/rice items at Hong Kong cafe.. it's the best thing ever ! YUM! I find myself exploring their menu more and more.

A yummy lunch with friends and fantastic service! Our lemon ice teas never got empty! Our server was so sweet too! I mentioned that the soup of the day was my favorite so she told me it's always on Sundays and brought me a second bowl! The shrimp and egg chow fun was the star dish today! We enjoyed the salt and pepper pork chops as well as the fish and veggies, needed something healthy lol. Tried the spaghetti bolognese cuz I read some good reviews. It was good but didn't go with everything else lol. Had to end the meal with some egg waffles! Yum! They just started having dinner specials and have weekday.specials, not valid on holidays and a great selection of happy hour items too. One of my fav Chinese cafes.

I'm really happy I got to try out this restaurant because my friend basically grew up here! The pork and shrimp fried rice were pretty good! The best part is how big the portions were, I had so much leftovers which I loved! I enjoyed the seasoning and crispiness of the pork, but it was a bit too boney for me. I would also add a bit more salt for the fried rice.

I went back to U2 Cafe for its combo. The quality was never disappointed. The combo is only $13.95. It includes a congee, rice roll, and a hot drink. I opt for the chicken congee and the rice roll. The tastes was on point and the portion was good. The service is attentive and friendly.

Promo for dine in dinner special for roasted belly cube with tofu rice!!! Just 9.95! Plus drinks , taxes n tips... cheap dinner for a recession economy since everything is so expensive.... But it's a quick bite! Services were right on... and it's clean environment... not bad for a cheap dinner!! Fast foods pricing!!

We haven't been to U2 Cafe & BBQ for years. We used to get the BBQ stuff at Yung Kee next door but I couldn't recall that I dined there. Anyhow, we ordered the baked spaghetti bolognese with fries, shredded duck vermicelli with pickle, and peanut butter with condensed milk toast. Their food was not bad and we liked the shredded duck vermicelli with pickle so much. The flavor was on point and the portion was big. The baked spaghetti bolognese was also flavorful and cheesy, fries were okay though. The peanut butter with condensed milk toast was delicious. Their price was quite reasonable and the portion size was good. Service was not bad but I'm not a fan of their interior and ambiance there. Everything was okay but we have so many HK cafe options in SGV. I'm not sure that I will go there often though.

The popcorn chicken is a must - the portion was huge and the mild flavor was top notch. The beef noodle soup was also solid. It came with a generous amount of noodles and big chunks of flavorful beef. Lastly, the regular soup dumplings pass exceptionally well with the ginger, vinegar, soy sauce condiment. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Atmosphere inside was hip and vibey. Overall, this is a great restaurant and I'd highly recommend others to try their dishes.

My first visit to Mr. Dragon Noodle House…read more I stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. This place is busy. The restaurant has a modern Asian-inspired interior with black brick accents, warm wood furniture, hanging pendant lights, and a striking red geometric ceiling. As soon as I walked in, a waiter handed me a menu along with an order slip to fill out while I waited for a table. That sure made the service feel less personal than I'd prefer. Every table was full, people were waiting near the entrance for seats, and the energy inside was loud and lively. These days, I'm more of a quiet-corner kind of diner. Unfortunately, I didn't find my usual quiet corner this time, but I managed to find a corner, and that was good enough. My dinner. Hot Tea ($2.00) Xiao Long Bao (8) ($13.00) The dumplings arrived steaming hot filled with juicy pork and flavorful broth. My favorite part of the meal besides the tea. Spicy Beef Ramen ($16.00) Large chunks of beef sat in a rich, vibrant red broth alongside ramen noodles, vegetables, and a hard-boiled egg. The beef, however, was not as tender as it looked. The broth was too spicy for my liking. I do not recommend. Subtotal: $31.00 Tax: $3.02 Total: $41.02, including tax and a $7.00 tip. Overall, the food was okay, and the service sure needs improvement.

We had beef, lamb, and pork slices for hotpot which we ordered 5 each per order. We had two pots original and one spicy. The meat slices were very thin so cooking time wasn't long and we paired it with various sauces, so if you make a good sauce it'll be even better. The buffet selection definitely changed, there's more hot foods and they no longer have mini sausages. I do enjoy their char siu and their varieties. Staff were pretty attentive with making sure our tables are cleared and if we need more meat. Since we were in a private room, they still came by to check on us. Overall, I did enjoy this place and would come again! I think not everyone liked how thin the meat was sliced but I'm fine with it. Ice creams costs money as well.

After they left, we were the only party there. It wasn't as busy as it used to be to be. After looking at their menu online, we saw that the lunch price ended at 3:30pm, so we got there before that time. When we were there, we were handed a new menu where lunch is from 11:00-3:00pm and dinner from 4:00-11:00pm. We were asked to pay the dinner price, The waiter just said his manager told him to tell everyone that, but the menu doesn't state the price between 3:00-4:00pm. The online menu also needs to be updated. As for the food, the hot food selection has gone downhill. Not as much variety as before. Mostly fried foods, not as much greens as before. The dessert selection was only oranges and a jello dessert. The meat was sliced super thin, so it wasn't chewy. I would say the service was just ok. One waiter was catering to us, but he was also busy doing other things in the kitchen. Would I come back here again, probably not. I just feel like everything should be transparent, so the trust is there.

Delightfully understated atmosphere with unique tiles throughout the decor, and we loved that we could hear each other talk and enjoy each other's company. Our server was amazing, she was so knowledgeable while being personable and extremely funny. I assume she's the cook's wife based on the other reviews - I arrived a little after my aunts, so I didn't get a full introduction since they had already secured a table and had ordered some drinks while looking over the menu. I had my eye on 3 different meat dishes - the Roasted Duck Breast, the New Zealand Lamb, and the Angus Beef Ribeye Steak - and my aunts also had each picked 1 of those, so we went family style, and it did not disappoint!! The chef knows how to cook each type of meat to perfection, and the searing pans are doing exactly what they need to be doing! The Roast Duck Breast was AMAZING as cooked to the recommended medium, with delicious crispy skin. The Angus Beef Ribeye Steak at medium rare was as tasty as it was gorgeous! And the New Zealand Lamb was PERFECTION, down to the bone. We also got the gourmet macaroni and cheese as an add-on side, since all the meals come with mashed potatoes and various veggies, and I was in heaven! As someone who used to work at the Disney Parks and frequented the steakhouses and other fine dining both here and in Orlando, Sage Bistro is giving Disney a run for its money when it comes to high-quality meat dishes! The prices reflect both the cut of the meats and the skill of preparation, with it averaging to about $50 each across the 3 of us, which is pretty reasonable for top-tier quality! The only thing I had to be careful about was that many of the dishes have mushrooms, and my throat gets itchy if I eat most mushrooms, so I had to avoid those dishes. During our meal, when I mentioned it to our server for future visits, she was great at noting which dishes could completely be modified to have no mushrooms while also being realistic about acknowledging the dishes that cannot be, which sadly includes the Braised Short Rib that sounds out of this world. But I can have the Beef Rib Soup, so I definitely want to try that next because I WILL BE BACK!!! They also offer takeaway, and were very generous in giving us each a coupon card to use for ordering through their website.

Seeing the server and an Asian staff coming out from kitchen confirmed that the cooking wasn't fully American taste bud. But that is the reason why it hit me very well. Honestly, whether you have American or fusion or Asian taste bud, the taste quality is better than some average American restaurants. I tried the butter squash soup, lamp chop, and bow tie pasta with chicken. I was enjoying my soup and lamp chop a lot. The pasta was pleasant to me, but it wasn't exceptionally great compared to the lamp chop. My fiancé loved the pasta though, saying that the sauce wasn't overwhelming. It is not a cheap place to come for, but it is because the food and drinks (good white wine) have quality. The wait for the entrees was a little long, even though it wasn't that busy. I believe it was the chef spending time to make sure each dish was done well, unlike the busy restaurant where chefs only follow the restaurant's recipes to make it quick and easy. Lastly, the ambience was okay, but it was more an older fine dining/family owned style. It had some nostalgic vibe if you'd take it that way. Keep it up. I really hope it will be there forever long.

Located in a busy neighborhood of El Monte, CA, this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Limited parking is available behind the restaurant, and street parking is an option if you can find a space. The menu is quite extensive, with options including wraps, salads, bowls, breakfast items, smoothies, and meal-prepped dishes with chicken, beef, salmon, tofu, and much more. I was impressed by the variety of choices and portions. My wife ordered an Asian chicken salad and garlic edamame, while I had a house salad with chicken and shrimp, plus a strawberry-banana smoothie and (2) protein donuts. Each dish was absolutely delicious. The lettuce in our salads was crunchy and fresh, the chicken and shrimp were flavorful and well-seasoned, the garlic edamame was tasty and cooked perfectly, and my banana and strawberry smoothie--let's just say I wish I had another one right now, as I loved it! If I may make a small suggestion: please chop the lettuce into smaller pieces, as the lettuce on both our plates contained large pieces that we had to cut ourselves. When I came back another time, I decided to give it a try. When we arrived, we were given a table number before we started filling up our bowls. The only confusing thing was that the food is priced by kilogram, so it's a little harder to understand the cost if you're used to pounds. Other than that, the ingredients were good quality and the selection was solid. At this malatang spot, you build your bowl first and pay at the end. As for the food, I enjoyed it. I got the creamy tom yum soup, and it was sour and salty in a good way that paired nicely with all of the cooked ingredients. The sauce bar was good as well, with a nice variety of options to choose from. Overall, if I was craving malatang and already at Atlantic Times Square, I would definitely get this again. One big plus is that they give complimentary matcha ice cream served in a black cone. They don't really advertise it, but after reading reviews mentioning it, I asked after paying and they gave me one. Be sure to ask for it before you leave.

Unfortunately, the experience was a bit underwhelming. Service was on the slower side. We waited quite a while to be seated because there was a large group individually paying their checks, and it seemed like only one person was handling seating. We were also seated in the back where the tables felt a little too close together, making it feel cramped. As for the food, it didn't quite live up to expectations. Everything came out very overcooked, especially the beef, which was so chewy it was difficult to enjoy. The soup was also on the bland side and lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. They do offer a complimentary matcha soft serve at the end of the meal, which was a nice touch, but it was just okay. Overall, I really wanted to love this place because the concept and ambiance have a lot of potential, but the food was pretty mid. I'd consider giving it another try in the future, but I hope the food quality and service improve.
