Classic HK cafe I've been going while growing up. My comfort food of baked chicken steak on fried rice and seafood chow mein. Good tomato sauce on the fried rice with some melted cheese on top of the chicken steak. The seafood chow mein has a tasty gravy and crispy edges. Lemon iced tea is refreshing and comes with refill. Complimentary bowl of soup as well. Good service here! Restaurant split with a cafe side and a BBQ side.

We went on a Monday and it was not crowded. The BBQ place is adjacent to the restaurant. The waiters were very friendly and generous, more than the owner LoL!! NOTE - there is a call button next to your table so you don't have to try so hard to get attention!! Perfect system We tried 4 different dishes today and lunch special- pork with Tofu really good. We choose fried tofu over soft. We wish the pork had skin but no. It was a good place to catch up with friends and family because there is NO loud background music!

Order the three delicacy bbq lunch special for $13.50. It came with your choice of tea or coffee, and a side of creamy soup. Also bought a soufflé and fruit juice drink. Everything was okay. I liked that the fruit juice drink was not sweetened. Definitely don't get the souffle. It was just foam and a side of whip cream. Service was okay. I had a hard to time getting someone's attention and then realized later they had a button bell at the end of the table. The button is very helpful.

Sometimes the 3-star ratings in SGV are the best ones. U2 actually has good service and good food. They're located on the corner of Valley Blvd and Vega. When you exit New Ave from the 10, head north. They have an odd parking situation as the entrance is around the corner. There's plenty of parking though. They have a lot of space inside for seating. At the time of my visit recently, they were decorated and very U2-themed. There is a fun "I love U2" sign near the bathrooms. I got the baked bolognese, and it was good! I recommend getting the lunch deals here. You can add a drink for only $2.25 and the coffee/teas have free refills! Their happy hour is 3-5 PM every day, including weekends. Servers mostly speak Cantonese but English/Mandarin are good too. Something to note is they are so close to the daycare center. There's kids screaming to be heard all the time. so far I have tried U2 cafe only through door dash and have yet to be disappointed. So far I have tried 1. Baked curry chicken on fried rice 2. Grilled chicken steak (comes with veggies and choice of pasta, fries, rice) and I got mushroom sauce 3. Pork cutlet with veggies, pasta and mushroom sauce The portions are huge (I can eat it for two meals) and I actually like the vegetable medley more than other Hong Kong cafes so that's a plus ! Ever since I tried the baked curry chicken on fried rice (there's fried potatoes in the curry), I couldn't wait to try more things. I LOVE baked pasta/rice items at Hong Kong cafe.. it's the best thing ever ! YUM! I find myself exploring their menu more and more.

A yummy lunch with friends and fantastic service! Our lemon ice teas never got empty! Our server was so sweet too! I mentioned that the soup of the day was my favorite so she told me it's always on Sundays and brought me a second bowl! The shrimp and egg chow fun was the star dish today! We enjoyed the salt and pepper pork chops as well as the fish and veggies, needed something healthy lol. Tried the spaghetti bolognese cuz I read some good reviews. It was good but didn't go with everything else lol. Had to end the meal with some egg waffles! Yum! They just started having dinner specials and have weekday.specials, not valid on holidays and a great selection of happy hour items too. One of my fav Chinese cafes.

I'm really happy I got to try out this restaurant because my friend basically grew up here! The pork and shrimp fried rice were pretty good! The best part is how big the portions were, I had so much leftovers which I loved! I enjoyed the seasoning and crispiness of the pork, but it was a bit too boney for me. I would also add a bit more salt for the fried rice.

I went back to U2 Cafe for its combo. The quality was never disappointed. The combo is only $13.95. It includes a congee, rice roll, and a hot drink. I opt for the chicken congee and the rice roll. The tastes was on point and the portion was good. The service is attentive and friendly.

Promo for dine in dinner special for roasted belly cube with tofu rice!!! Just 9.95! Plus drinks , taxes n tips... cheap dinner for a recession economy since everything is so expensive.... But it's a quick bite! Services were right on... and it's clean environment... not bad for a cheap dinner!! Fast foods pricing!!

Dinner special was worth my money and visit. I would come back again as I am a cheap asian. The food was less than $10 but not fast food so it was worth my money. It's healthier compared to fast food. The food was amazing. I couldn't finish it, but I saved it for the next day. Portion might just be one portion for others but definitely worth the money. It was also cheap just to add a drink (my favorite is always Lemon Iced Tea). I think it was around $1.50 (do not quote me on this) for the addition of a COLD Drink. If you order hot, I believe it comes free. Dinner special is only after 6pm though. Restaurant is pretty empty but people start coming in after 6 because of the dinner special. Service was just okay because they barely had staff clocking in at 6. (Staff switching). I had to wave someone down to get a refill on my lemon iced tea. Someone who seem to be the boss's wife was helping the servers out and that's when i started getting better service.

We haven't been to U2 Cafe & BBQ for years. We used to get the BBQ stuff at Yung Kee next door but I couldn't recall that I dined there. Anyhow, we ordered the baked spaghetti bolognese with fries, shredded duck vermicelli with pickle, and peanut butter with condensed milk toast. Their food was not bad and we liked the shredded duck vermicelli with pickle so much. The flavor was on point and the portion was big. The baked spaghetti bolognese was also flavorful and cheesy, fries were okay though. The peanut butter with condensed milk toast was delicious. Their price was quite reasonable and the portion size was good. Service was not bad but I'm not a fan of their interior and ambiance there. Everything was okay but we have so many HK cafe options in SGV. I'm not sure that I will go there often though.

It's basically a Hong Kong cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are several locations, but I like the one in Rosemead the best. I've eaten here many times and never once had a bad experience. We arrived at 8:00 pm on Saturday. The place was empty, understandably they close at 9:00 pm. I ordered seafood chow mein (pan fried with gravy) and HK style sweet and sour pork ribs. Both did not disappoint. The latter comes with a bowl of rice. Really tasty pork ribs. Casual dining experience. Delicious food. Reasonable prices. Friendly and attentive staff. Credit cards accepted. Comfortable seatings. Bright lighting. Clean restrooms. Convenient parking.

We immediately got seated. Mind you, this isn't the type of place were you sit, enjoy your meal, and have a comfortable conversation. This restaurant is all about moving volume. Eat, be nice to the staff, and leave! Their take out business was off the charts during our stay. The staff was working their tails off to keep everything in order. Much respect there! Anyhow, I ordered from the "breakfast menu". They have an extensive pre-lunch - break menu at very affordable prices. I had the minced pork rice noodle in soup with a side of plain chowmein. And I ordered a ice (cold) milk tea (there's an up-charge for cold drinks +2 bucks). I think my total pre-tax and tip was like $16 bucks. Not bad. The chowmein was a bit "limp" in taste but I assume adding a bit of chili-oil would have fixed it for me. Again, this a good deal place. Enough said.

It's not fancy so nothing knocked me off feet but that's what you'd expect from Hong Kong Cafe. I love the restaurant itself and the service is impeccable and efficient just as what you'd expect from HK. The place is very clean with a lot of cool neon lights and signs hanging everywhere. There is even a Bumblebee. The place opens late which is great and reminds me of my time when I were in college. The food is delicious even though it's not fancy food. Dare I say, this is my favorite cafe ever. Whenever my friends come over, I will always bring them here to enjoy a Hong Kong style cafe. This location specifically is located in Atlantic Times Square with plenty of underground parking available. It will get busy at times but the last level always has some parking available. The only downside about this plaza is that the elevators take forever to go up and down and certain staircases offered aren't maintained and will lead you to the outside trash can area and will have you walking around to try and find the hallway that leads to the plaza. My family and I came on a Thursday early-ish dinner around 6pm and there were a few tables available for us to sit at. You're greeted with a lot of Hong Kong staples, MTR signs, train station signs, the milk tea cart, and plenty more. There are plenty options for delicious food in their menu that cater different cravings. We got 4 different dishes and 2 drinks and the total came out to be $91 after tax and tips! Food: Sweet and Sour Sole Fish (8.2/10): This was my favorite dish growing up so there is some bias around my opinion. It's fried sole fish that's drenched in a sweet and sour sauce that has vegetables in it. If you've had sweet and sour pork, they use the same sauce but instead of pork, it's sole fish. There's a perfect amount of sauce on top and you won't run out before you finish your dish. Salted Chicken Wings and Squid (8/10): This one is an appetizer! It comes with 4 chicken wings and a lot of fried squid and garnished with peppers and green onions. I love that the fried squid isn't drenched in the batter and adds a nice thin crispy layer on top of the squid. The chicken wing does have a little bit of pinkness in the bones but it was perfectly cooked with juicy chicken and crispy skin! Ground Meat and Egg Rice (8/10): There's an over-easy egg on top of the rice and you break it so the yolk bleeds in and you have chunks of egg white mixed into the rice. It's ground meat, furikake(I think?), grilled onions, and white rice! There's a sauce In the ground meat but I'm not sure how to describe it but it tastes amazing. You definitely need to mix everything together until it's well combined. Grilled Chicken Steak w/ Mushroom Sauce (8/10): This is a staple to cafes (at least in my family and extended family)! It's a chicken breast pan fried to have a crispy skin and you dip it into a sauce of your choice! We usually get the mushroom sauce because it compliments the juicy chicken well. It's not a liquid-y sauce but more of a thicker creamy sauce. It also comes with a side of broccoli and corn so it doesn't feel as heavy. The carbs that come with the dish is either white rice or spaghetti.

It was quite busy, the place cannot accommodate a party of 10 or more as the largest table seems to fit 8 comfortably or 10 if 2 of them are children. The wait time was quite long for a party of 9, parties of 4 or less were able to get seated almost immediately. When seated, the table was one of the larger ones but still a quiet squeeze. We each ordered a dish which I got the sizzling ribeye with mushroom sauce and pasta while the kids got noodles. It took some time for food to come out, they came almost one at a time. One of our orders didn't come so we had to ask about it and it did eventually come (bbq pork with egg on rice). There's steak was thinner than expected so asking for medium rare seemed irrelevant as the steak became well done as it was on a hot plate. The corn was good, a few pieces of husk was found but not bad. The pasta had a heap of sauce which we actually liked. The kids ate the noodles, which was basically noodles with soybean sprouts. The night was quite busy and lots of people making it super loud. Service was slow, we had to Ariadne our hands quite a few times and sometimes had to get up to find someone to pack our food to go. Overall a good try, maybe we'll be back but not anytime soon as a big party.
