Definitely didn't feel like authentic Korean food in any way, but thankfully I wasn't expecting that going into it. It's a ghost kitchen location so slightly awkward to eat there, but we did it anyways. The wrap itself didn't have much flavor so I leaned in heavily on the side sauces to save it. Felt light and refreshing but overall was a forgettable experience.

WOW!!! We got the spicy pork and it was fabulous we will be ordering every time we come to NYC. I wish we had one Philadelphia! This is so inventive and delicious. They give a very generous portion also!! This is a must takeout if you are anywhere near!! Do not miss this gem!!!

I ordered from here for lunch delivery. I love a summer roll and was interested to try their take. I asked for the Half and Half with bulgogi and spicy pork. It comes with their house sauce and a sesame sauce. Since I ordered delivery I cannot speak to the service or ambiance. It comes packaged neatly with 4 halves and the sauces all in one box. The rolls were light, fresh, and filling. The spicy pork was my favorite but the bulgogi was great too. Overall, I loved the food and think they have found a unique niche concept.

We ordered takeout from the Ssam, which is a ghost kitchen that shares its space with other restaurants like Jersey Mikes. There's a few seats inside, but it's not very comfortable. We ended up taking our meal to Bryant Park nearby. I got the tofu wrap and added the extra house sauce. It was a super light and refreshing meal, since the wrap is mainly just vegetables with a bit of protein and egg. It comes with two sauces by default (sesame and sweet chili). I was surprised to see that the meal came with two wraps, but they're both modestly sized and the filling isn't too heavy. Overall great meal option, especially if you're looking for a fresh lunch or dinner option.

Ordered a half and half to go (they operate in a ghost kitchen!) Got the chicken and the pork ssam and much preferred the pork since it was a lot more flavorful. It tasted very healthy and clean, but was not mindblowingly good and the portions were on the smaller side. More of a snack than a meal in my opinion, and also a bit pricey for what you get.

The rice wrap here is really good. The wrap is perfectly cooked, and the proteins, both the bulgogi and the chicken, are excellent. However, I found the buffalo sauce on the chicken to be a bit one-dimensional; it tasted like regular hot sauce, and I would have appreciated some Korean flavors to add complexity. Overall, the execution of the ingredients was exceptional. The wraps have a slightly high vegetable-to-meat ratio. While everything was delicious, I would have preferred fewer crunchy vegetables and perhaps something soft to diversify the texture. A combination of crunchy, meaty, and soft elements would have been ideal. The peanut sauce was excellent. The service was really friendly, even though the place operates more like a pickup counter with some tables and lacks ambiance. It's more like a ghost kitchen setup. That being said, I thought it was really good. The vegetable-to-protein ratio is probably traditional; it's just not my personal preference.

Quite good for what it is - a reasonably priced healthy option that still tastes pretty decent. This is a take out or delivery only place so you have to order ahead of time online (we used seamless). When you arrive, you just ring the bell at the window and someone comes by to bring your order. We got two half-half rolls so we could try 4 different kinds. Our favorites were the spicy pork and the bulgogi, but we also enjoyed the tofu and the shrimp. People rave about the pineapple sauce but our favorite was the peanut sauce. The chips and dip are not worth getting - they were too thick and not that good. The pork mandoo weren't bad - they weren't greasy and tasted air fried. For two people, we got 4 rolls plus 2 sides (10 pork mandoo and the chips and sauce) and our total was about $46. Will definitely return!

    Bulgogi (Marinated Beef) Ssam

My go to place to grab something quick, light and fresh when i'm in the office. I've literally grabbed this 3 days in a row LOL. Each time the taste is consistent and fresh. So far i've tried the bulgogi & chicken ssam, good ratio of veggies to meat. The Bulgogi sam comes with a garlic fish sauce and a roasted sesame/ peanut sauce that pair so well together. The fish sauce pairs really well with the mint and other veggies in the wrap & the sesame sauce is umami and so good. The chicken sam comes with the same sesame/ peanut sauce and a hot sauce. Personally, I like to mix the two sauces together but each their own. Def will be ordering again to try their pork ssam. So far bulgogi has been my go to!

I cannot recommend enough! I popped in here by chance during a work trip and I actually received one of the best service experiences I've ever had in my life. The restaurant (ghost kitchen) itself was a little bare bones when I went because they had opened not too long before - but the owner himself greeted me when I came in, asked me what I typically like to eat and recommended items based on my answer, and then went back to the kitchen to make the food fresh himself. He said he had just hired one other employee and was actively teaching her as well. He checked in multiple times and let me try some other items I had never tried before. He is a great chef and deserves the praise!

The SSam offers healthy, delicious rice paper wraps that each feature 14 fresh ingredients, fusing Korean and Vietnamese cuisine. They're filled with crisp and flavorful vegetables, and you can choose your choice of protein from bulgogi, spicy pork, chicken or tofu. I haven't been to this location, but they delivered to my apartment. Everything arrived fresh and well-prepared. I was very happy with the quality of the wraps. They were healthy yet filling.

The bulgogi ssam just might be the best thing I've ever tasted. It's so flavorful and full of so many delicious fresh veggies. Also feels like a healthy lunch. Love that it doesn't come in too much packaging.

Had been eyeing the Ssam as an option for a yummy healthy workday lunch/snack. The concept is vietnamese/korean rice paper wraps that are filled with a protein of choice and a bunch of fresh veggies and herbs. Note that this is strictly a pickup situation-- there is a window to ring and you provide your name and they bring out the food when it's ready. I knew from other photos that each ssam order comes with two wraps which are sliced down the middle but couldn't gauge how filling they would be. I was ordering for myself and one other person and ordered 3 ssams-- spicy pork, bulgogi, and marinated chicken. My personal favorite was probably the marinated chicken for a lighter protein option. The bulgogi was also very good and had more of an authentic korean profile with the perilla leaf inside. These were much more filling than expected. I had three pieces and was pretty stuffed so an order per person is definitely enough. Service here was great as well! The owner handed me my food and even provided a free drink in my order. I'll definitely be back soon!!

Delicious food -- I'd recommend the restaurant offer lime slices or some sort of peanut sauce (I didn't like the spicy sauce, the mustard one is fine). The concept is right up my alley and super healthy. I love the ease of ordering too Interior isn't ideal for eating so I'd recommend pickup The manager hand-delivered my order and was extremely nice. I'll be back

It's not your typical lychee martini. It has Aperol and pineapple, which gives it a great flavor. My only note is that I wish it were a bit stronger. For appetizers we had the yellowtail, which is a must get. It was delicious. We also had the lobster spring rolls, another great dish, and the crispy wontons, which were good but not my favorite compared to everything else. For our entrée we got the beef tenderloin, another must get. It was amazing, super tender, and melts in your mouth. We had it with the fried rice, which was solid. For dessert we had the ice cream sandwich, which was different in the best way and extremely delicious. It wasn't too sweet and the cone "buns" were perfection. Overall, this place is gorgeous and the food matches. I would definitely return. The service was also great, the perfect balance of letting you do your own thing and truly enjoy your evening while still checking in. It is pricey. We each paid $184 including tip, but it's definitely worth it for a special occasion or to spoil yourself a bit.

We had three of the hot apps, Foie gras, lobster shumai with caviar and morel mushroom with spinach crystal dumplings. After that we're deciding between the quail and beef tenderloin wok dishes. Since the quail was spicy went with tenderloin which came with small serving of rice. All the food was great. I felt the crystal dumpling needed a kicked and they brought Out there house soy and hot vinegar sauce. For drinks I tried there mix of a classic martini with an old fashioned and after discussions with there somm who nicely recommended a more affordable bottle that would meet our needs got the Chardonnay by glass as a bottle. Enjoyed the meal though likely spent 5 times what usually spend on Chinese place mainly due to cost of alcohol. Place is well designed with a look similar to Butter downtown with the arched ceiling mixed with with the sound dampening feature of similar design of bar Boulod. Will return to try the quail and the lobster spring rolls and if they keep to this standard will increase rating to 5.
