Food was very fresh and a great lunch spot. Wish tofu had more flavor but so far this is the best casual Asian lunch spot for work I've tried so far.

Thought I'd reviewed Red Poke more recently though looks like my last one was waaaay long ago! Have ordered takeout many times since then, they're still a go-to for a fast, healthy meal--protein, veggies, they got you covered. The YSL bowl and Creamy Wasabi are two of my favorites, and I really like their shrimp and grilled tofu options, and the japchae clear noodles that you can choose as a base. However as of late their poke bowls feel a little haphazard in quality--the menu is pretty consistent over the years but the past couple times I've ordered the ingredients look kinda thrown together and with a bit less protein and toppings than they used to give. The quality of the salmon and tuna pieces feels a little different than what they used to use to be too. Or maybe they need to look into how they manage the prep bc while the food still tastes fresh, the pieces of fish look less evenly diced, and something just feels different. Inflation and tariffs are real and costs of everything are going up, so on one hand this isn't surprising though on the other hand I'm def missing the days when this wasn't the case. I'm glad they're around and plan to continue ordering from them, though hope to see some improvements.

Red poke always hits! It feels healthy and is absolutely delicious. I appreciate how you can pick 2 base--I like to do brown rice + greens. The ingredients all feel fresh and they are flavored perfectly. What a delicious bowl

Very generous poke servings for a great value! I ordered the medium bowl online and pickup was easy and prompt. And I was able to find some wasting and eat inside. I was delightfully surprised by the sheer size of the bowl and there was plenty of fish and topping by a as well, even for the medium. The tuna and salmon were fresh. The toppings added a nice lightness and I enjoyed the yuzu ponzu and wasabi ginger aioli on the side. Overall, would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back the next time I'm craving some poke!

Loved this place! So easy to order with their menu system - you just check off what you want into the bowl - it's so clear and there's even pictures to help if you need it. They were very quick with the service - I took it to go but the restaurant was nice. The food was delicious - I got some tuna and beef and a bunch of veggies loaded up in my bowl!

Healthy and fresh ingredients, variety of choices, fast preparation, and clean store. Highly recommend for anyone craving for healthy and tasty eats. Service is very friendly and quick. Ambiance is casual and chill.

A good stop for a quick, tasty meal without breaking the bank. Service has never taken more than about 10 minutes for me, a huge upside when you're hungry and looking for a full bowl of meat and rice. The ambiance is nice and modern- you use a erasable board to place your order, and there are a lot of options. There's also a water cooler inside that's usually infused with something nice. Taste isn't outstanding, but delicious and fresh. Their poke bowls pack in fresh fish and a variety of veggies, so each bite is full of flavor. If you're not into raw fish, they also serve Korean meat options like galbi, although I prefer the poke. Will definitely come back to try more combinations.

Lots of options to customize your poke bowl just the way you like it!

Late night dinner run after flights all day. What a absolute joy to find something fresh, light and satisfying. Didn't even think I'd review this place until I started digging into the food. Food: 6/5. Fresh fish options AND Korean protein in a combined bowl... serious 1+1=3 situation. Spicy pork w/ tuna and salmon - perfect combo for me. Lots of toppings -- I think I marked them all. The bun was ok+. Soup was ok (dude gave me wrong one but it was still warm and hit the spot). Service: 5/5. Friendly greeting upon entering. Mind you this is almost closing time and the guy's probably exhausted but greeting was cheery. Food ordering via dry-wipe was simple and effective. Ambiance: 4/5. Sufficient, in a fine-for-a-quick-pick-up-joint kind of way. Not much to appreciate at 9PM. Probably nice during day. Lots on windows to outside hustle and bustle. tldr: must go. something fresh and tasty... not deep fried, not processed in the middle of Manhattan.

This is Korean fusion poke bowl restaurant. It's a fast casual place so you choose off the menu displayed above the register and can customize the bowl to your liking. I found this place to be good quality. They give you a lot of choices and with it's Korean theme, you'll see things that are not typical at a poke bowl place - bulgogi beef, kimchi, ssamjang sauce, gochujang sauce, and more. The fish they served here was super fresh and the bowls are above average in size. If you don't want to customize your own bowl, they have recommended bowls too ready for quick takeout.

Visited the other day for a quick lunch nearby! This place is super quick and casual, and most visitors are office workers in the area stopping by for something fast, healthy, and convenient. Service is really fast and friendly too - I ordered a medium bowl with customized toppings and proteins, and the price for quality is very reasonable, especially in this economy! Ate every single bite of my bowl. This place is a Korean take on poke, so you'll see ingredients like bulgogi beef and japchae! Really yummy and healthy spot - no complaints!

This was a nice stop for a bite before seeing Hells Kitchen off of 43rd. The options were loaded for any palate and ordering was simple! We used a dry erase board immediately upon coming in which made ordering easy. I had a bowl with loads of veggies and shrimp and tofu as my protein which filled me up perfectly. The vibe is quick-eats style so it's a casual in and out. Seemed like a lot of locals enjoyed it also.

I tried to find this place for lunch but navigating NYC without a phone and just my memory was a fail. I came back for dinner and was pleasantly surprised with the grilled protein, hot bowl options. I quickly decided on the "Seoul" beef bulgogi and hot glass noodles and the food was ready shortly after I ordered, paid and sat down. Price was $17 for a large bowl, which is a little expensive, but the quality and taste is excellent. I definitely want to come back and try other options!

Red poke has been my go to lunch spot for over a year. It's quick and casual, and they have a plenty of dining space although I normally do pick up. The fish and toppings are always fresh, and I love that the bowls here are healthy and filling unlike some of the salad places out there. I especially like how masago is a free topping!

Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

But there's no denying that BCD has upped their soondubu game considerably in the last decade+ with a thicker, more deeply flavored broth, and now easily rivals my longtime favorite and gold standard, the OG So Kong Dong in Fort Lee. Then I stumbled into a hack that changed my view: lunch! I ducked in for a late lunch on a whim while walking by one day, and this turned out to be a much chiller hour, unhurried and no reservation needed. I was promptly seated, my order taken, and the banchan swiftly laid out. The banchan spread is solid across the board (the little fried fish does nothing for me, but seems to be a highlight for everyone else). I especially love the kimchi, near-perfect IMO, and the pickled cucumber. There's a modest lunch discount, which is a nice bonus for someone who likes to order aggressively. I usually get an oyster, seafood, or assorted soondubu (with a raw egg cracked in), danger spicy of course! Or go the C1 combo route with a galbi (marinated bbq beef short ribs) + smaller soondubu. It's an enormous amount of food, so I take most of the galbi home and feel no shame about it. The galbi, by the way, has also gotten noticeably better over the years - meatier, tender, and the flavor is on point. I've also enjoyed their bibimbap, bulgogi, jap chae, and seafood pancake. Finally, let's talk heat - this chili-head loooves fire! And BCD's danger level is one of the rare instances where the spice level actually meets my punishing tolerance for heat, not some pretense at "American spicy.," despite this being a chain. Their danger level actually means business and brings tears to my eyes, literally. It's still not my favorite place ambience wise, and dinner remains a contact sport I've mostly opted out of, as gone are the days that I can tolerate a culinary mosh pit, and any wait longer than 10 minutes (and only for a superlative place) will trigger an automatic ejection of my presence. But for lunch? Unexpectedly great. 4 stars for dinner, 5 for lunch.
