My workout friends love coming to The Stand in Whittier! Not only is it right across the street from LA fitness which makes it totally convenient but...the food is consistently excellent -- my personal favorites are the Cobb Salad (fresh, generous, and so satisfying!) and the Falafel Wrap, which is full of flavor and perfectly balanced. Their wine list is reasonably priced, which makes sitting on the patio with a glass on a beautiful day an absolute treat. The service, atmosphere, and quality keep us coming back again and again. Very average burger place. Nothing really stood out as noteworthy except maybe that they have a full bar. The burgers were average and the fries were definitely below average. It probably didn't help that they weren't really hot when they came out. We ordered three kids burgers and two adult burgers. With the French onion soup burger I was really hoping for the au ju to be especially delicious since it's what sets that burger apart and unfortunately it simply wasn't anything special. I ordered an aperol spritz and actually had to send it back. It just tasted flat with fake sweet syrup and I couldn't bear to drink it. This place is one of my favorite places to come to on a beautiful sunny day but unfortunately the AC is broken so it made our visit unbearable, couldn't finish our meal because it was too uncomfortable. I feel bad for their employees having to work in those conditions. Hopefully they get it fixed soon but until then I'll be taking my business elsewhere read more

Food is great , service is amazing . my only complaint today was it's been so hot that we decided to sit inside instead of the patio, but I believe the ac is out. It got way too hot inside that we had to cut out stay shorter than we would have liked . I did talk to some people around me because I thought maybe it could just be me but everyone around was also really uncomfortable with the heat as well. On July 11, 2024, I had the delightful privilege of visiting the charming city of Whittier. I was particularly eager to visit the art gallery, and I wanted to arrive early to avoid any throngs of people and have the opportunity to leisurely view the entire collection of Edward B Synder. A few weeks ago, I drove past The Stand, and it lingered in my thoughts, so I considered stopping if I was near that location again. At the same time, I had perused their menu online and was quite excited to try a few items on it. I entered the establishment, and since it was my first time there, I politely inquired if I should seat myself. To my inquiry, the response was affirmative. The ordering process was explained to me: I was to stand in line, place my order, and then seat myself. After ordering, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a few pickles and homemade chips on the house. The atmosphere at the bar was lively and engaging, with their large screen televisions showcasing the Dodgers game and the crowd engaging in animated conversations. I chose to enjoy my meal in a booth and were they comfortable and extra comfy. I really wanted to stay longer and enjoy the vibe of this location. I ordered a beverage, and a well-done cheeseburger on top of arugula held the bun hun. I devoured my bowl. The stand has an outside area to enjoy outdoors, bar areas, and booths. The service here is very good. The person who took my order was very patient and helpful. He told me some recommendations and the person who brought our order was also very nice. The establishment is very spacious and very clean. We ended up sitting outside because it was pretty packed on the inside. Even though we ate outside it was still very cool and a nice dinning experience. The burger was very good, the fries were fresh and the mac and cheese was my favorite item. Maria, Samantha, Michelle, Jen, Eddie, and Felipe are honestly the kindest people ever. They always make me feel welcomed and give the best customer service. So I have been coming here and always enjoyed the burger, think juicy and overall good. Went there tonight and it likes the title states American classics redefined. Not sure who in management decided to change the burger patty, but it is redefined to not good. Patty was thin dry probably from frozen underwhelming. My kid even noticed the difference. You order at the counter and they have a good selection of burgers but I opted in to build my own burger with a side of fries and a drink. Solid selection of burger options along with chicken sandwiches and salads. It honestly took us a few minutes to settle on just one selection because there was a lot of good options. I decided on the mushroom burger and my hubby tried The Stand burger. We shared fries and onion rings for the table. Food arrived quickly and was tasty and fresh. You walk up to a cashier and place your order along with your beer or drink of choice. Once you place your order you are given complimentary chips and pickles if you'd like. You are also given a number that you put on your table. The server then brings your food to the table. The ambiance is good. Music playing and Tvs at the bar if you sit there. We choose to sit in the outside patio. That's always a plus when you have kids. Onion Stack Burger - has crispy onion strings, cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, bacon tomato jam and hickory sauce. Burger was cooked perfectly and very good. Great flavor and just the right amount of burger to bun. Would get this again. Onion Rings - Golden friend union rings with a nice batter that is crunchy and light. Dip them in ranch and they are awesome. Sweet Pepper & Steak Salad - marinated Grilled Steak, Mixed Greens, Sliced Cucumber, Corn Salsa, Grilled Sweet Peppers, Sliced Red Onion, Crispy Rice Noodles, Wasabi Quinoa Furikake, and Yuzu Miso Dressing. The best part of all this is the service! My husband and I always sit at the bar tops wherever we go and this place is no different. Michelle has been the bartender a few times we've been there and Michelle is the kind of bartender every place dreams of!! Grace under pressure, a smile that never fades, and a work ethic that sets the bar high. She remembers your drink, your story, and somehow still runs the show like it's effortless!!!
