At this place, we ordered at the front and waited for our food to arrive at the table. We did go on a Saturday night so it was really busy, but staff was friendly and very receptive. Came here for the first time to help raise money for a fundraiser my class was hosting. I ordered the chicken club, green beans and 1/2 gallon of cucumber agua Fresca. I really enjoyed the green beans and agua Fresca. The chicken sandwich was a underwhelming since the chicken seemed slightly undercooked giving it a weird texture. I came during lunch hour and placed my order online way ahead of time. My order should have been ready when I arrived but I waited an additional 5 minutes waiting for someone to pour my 1/2 gallon of agua Fresca. This is one of the largest Stand locations I've ever been to. It allows for a very open & inviting experience. Even with the large center bar area there was plenty of space to walk around and when we found out seat, we never felt cramped or anything. Food was on par with every other Stand location so you know the ingredients are going to be high quality and the food flavorful. From salads to sandwiches to the kids menu, you're always in for a good meal. They also have amazing customer service. We ate and then about 30~40 minutes later my wife realized she left her purse at the restaurant. She call and the employee (whose name now unfortunately escapes me at the moment) walked through the restaurant until he was able to locate it. He then stored it away while we drove back to pick it up. We are eternally grateful for that. So, if we're ever in the area, we are glad to know there is a Stand that will be ready to refill us when our stomachs are running on empty. read more

We came to try this place after seeing a instagram promo. When we arrived, the staff let us know we can only redeem the offer via their app. So we downloaded the app to order our food, but it seemed that the only option was to pick up. Given we had wanted to dine in (not knowing the promotion was limited to pickup orders), we asked if they could update the order we submitted to be dine-in. The staff let us know they'll call us when the order is ready. After waiting for our food for a while, my husband went to check on the food only to find part of our order just sitting there on the counter, and packed as a to go order. The burger had turned cold and we didn't receive any updates via phone or app that our order was ready either. When all of our food was ready, unfortunately most of it was already cold. The burgers don't come with fries so you have to order that separately. Our BBQ brisket on a pretzel bun was honestly too saucy and just falls apart as you try to eat it. I did enjoy the steak and bell pepper salad we had, as it had popped quinoa that added texture to the salad. All in all, the food was just OK, but I just didn't have the greatest dining experience from the moment we stepped into the restaurant given how chaotic the operation felt. read more

We ate here recently and while the food was good and register staff were friendly, the service toward the end of the night was unpleasant. Around 8:30 PM--a full half-hour before the posted 9:00 PM closing time--an employee started flipping the chairs onto all of the available tables. This ruined the vibe of our dinner: - Not only was it loud and disruptive while we were trying to eat, - It also sends the wrong message to current diners that they need to hurry up and leave. - Worse, it makes the restaurant look closed, essentially turning away any potential customers who might want to get a bite to eat there. We understand staff wanting to get a head start on closing duties, but it shouldn't come at the expense of the guest experience, especially a full 30+ minutes before the doors actually close. Hopefully, management can address this pre-closing routine. read more

Believe the hype. It's like if you took a burger stand and then made everything about it high-end. They'll cook the burger medium! They'll put a crazy variety of great toppings on it! They'll give you quasi-unlimited free sliced pickles! Oh and they have a bar that would put most watering holes in SF to shame. They have two burger sauces that are pink-ish in color and delicious - and the better one is the one with speckles in it. Sorry I'll try to learn their names for next time. Also: their turkey burger is fantastic. I would not not have known to even think of ordering this but we had a no-read-meat customer or two in our group. I stopped by at The Stand after work one day since I was craving a burger and this place had Turkey burger options. I ended up ordering The Veggie bliss burger with a Turkey patty. The flavors were really good but it was on the oilier side for my taste. The man who took my order was super nice and also offered me some house chips samples which were decent. There is a ton of indoor seating with a variety of tables. It looked nice for families or friends or even on a casual date. They did have free WiFi, and I tried to work a bit, but without outlets near the table I wasn't able to do that. All in all tasty burger, but on the oily side. read more

This is a sports-style restaurant where you order at a pickup counter, find a table/bar to sit at, then hang out with friends while you watch whatever's on TV. I am not typically a burger person, but I was extremely happy with my Onion Stack Burger during my recent visit to The Stand. My partner got a French Onion Soup Burger which we both found disappointing, but if I was just ranking my experience off my burger, it's a definite repeat. It was also happy hour when we went so we decided to try their short rib fries which was loaded with meat. My current go-to burger spot for craft burgers! This place is a bit cheaper and better quality than other craft burger restaurants I've had. They have a pretty good variety of burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes, and a bar as well. I got their shroom burger cooked medium well, and it was one of the first times a place actually cooked it medium rare. The portions here are huge and I thought the burgers had a good flavor and weren't that greasy. We also tried their chili fries which were good but nothing special. Can't ever go wrong while eating at the Stand, they have variety of burger options, hot dogs, wraps, sides and sandwiches to choose from. What differentiates them is that they have a nice bar and a bunch of cocktail options at each store location. Ordering was seamless and my family had a big order to order to-go! Burgers are great quality and hit the spot everytime. Yelpers love the French Onion Soup Burger but I always go with the classic Stand Burger. The Stand is a nice clean restaurant with decent service. They do have a huge menu for a burger and salad place so it's a bit hard to digest in the order line. The service is pretty quick once you order but the order queue can get backed up. The food is actually good. The burgers are tasty and well prepared, but I'd recommend skipping the BBQ sauce on it. The avocado was mushed up like guacamole style. Somehow the bacon pieces had no bacon taste and the burger was dry. Definitely not worth the price. 2. Havarti Shroom - very basic mushroom burger. My wife said some of the lettuce was beginning to wilt and the mushrooms were not fresh. Again the burger was dry. 3. Sweet potatoes fries - served crosscut style with some type if aioli. I'm pleasantly surprised by this place. I've had it a few times now and as far as more traditional types of hamburgers go it's been delicious each time.. I feel like there aren't really a lot of good just burger makers anymore, and it packs a lot of flavor, with great menu burgers and customizable options. I actually really love steak style fries, and thicker cut fries. I like my fries to be more potato-e. So I actually love their fries too. As a former no milkshake addict, I have to say their milkshakes have me off the wagon. This place used to be called the GrubHub or something like that, but apparently they change their name. My son and I came here for a quick lunch burgers and deliciously thick milkshakes and we got exactly what we paid for! I have no idea why the parking lot was so packed but we had to park over by the, grocery outlet and walk across the parking lot to get to the restaurant. Once we got inside, there was nobody in line but maybe five or six tables with customers. So I'm not too sure where all the people were from the parking lot. Lol. I had The Stand bookmarked whenever I wanted to try a new burger place and decided to stop by one night. I tried to make an online order but it kept failing when I tried to pay through Apple Pay so that wasn't promising. I just decided to drive there and then place my order in store. When I walked up, I went straight to the counter since I knew what I wanted already from looking at the menu online. I was standing there for a bit before someone said that they would be with me shortly. I gave them my order and then was told that I can take a seat and then my order would be brought out to me. I sat at the bar for a little bit and then saw that a gentleman who ordered after me got his order but I thought maybe it was because my order was for 2 so it might take a bit longer. Continuing to wait, the gentleman left after finishing a beer and then I thought it had been a while so I decided to get up and ask about my order. A different worker in the front asked "omg, how long have you been waiting". I looked at my order time and then current time, it was about 25 mins. She apologized and then asked if I wanted extra pickles. Just knowing that my order was sitting on the counter getting cold, along with getting colder on the drive home for my wife just did not sit well with me. It would have been one thing to ask me to check back in 5/10 mins for the order or get a number if my order should have been brought out but there was no update on it. This was just a miss in my opinion and poor first experience. I got home and threw the fries/onion rings in the air fryer but just had to deal with a soggy burger. Get the Upper Stand SoCal-based chain of restaurants that was founded back in 2003 and is now at a grand total of twenty restaurants (19 in CA w/ one in TX). They took over the former TX-based Grub Burger Bar location. The two chains are eerily similar in that both their menus are pretty much identical and feature burgers, fries, shakes, and adult beverages as their main draws. The Good: *Great service as we were greeted by every employee from the moment we set foot inside to the moment we left. And even tho it's fast-casual, someone was always stopping by the table to check on us. *Huge shared parking lot, so it shouldn't be an issue. *Dog-friendly outdoor seating *Full-bar with a bevy of micro and macrobrews beers on-tap *Big ups to their shakes as they're pretty spectacular and made the proper way: ice cream and milk. *Onion rings were outstanding, fried crispy, and tasted delicious. *Speaking of the onion rings, their sides have a huge selection of sauces to choose from. *French Onion Soup Burger was unlike any burger I'd had before. Part soup, part burger, but all delicious. The best part was the Parmesan Crisp on top. *We loved their homemade tater chips! And they were excellent with their house guacamole! Crispy, perfectly salted, and infinitely craveable. The Meh: *Kinda annoying that the whole menu is à la carte. *The mixed drink Frozen Paloma was a little on the weak side, but I guess for $11, it might've been just right.
