EXCELLENT egg coffee!! super strong and well-brewed coffee with a thick custardy egg cream. they offer a light sweetness option which is nice! the interior is cute and bright, with a few small tables for seating. the seating fills up quick but would 100% get a takeout coffee here. service was friendly and helpful and didn't wait long for my drink to come out! would 100% recommend for a perfectly caffeinated pick me up! they also have matcha which I'll have to try if I can resist the pull of their egg coffee!
Pandan coffee!! So yummy and rich pandan flavor and the coffee was classic strong viet coffee! Along with the coconut roll perfect snack to add to the coffee! The service was really fast and there are a couple seats inside for sitting. I will definitely be coming back because they have so many flavors and items I want to try
As Phin Cafe opens more locations in the Bay Area, the accessibility to Vietnamese coffee increases but just because they specialize in coffee, you should not skip out on their matcha. Salted matcha - this reminds me of the blended matcha tornado shake at Izumi. However, the salty twist makes a huge difference in depth of flavor. If you love sweet and salty combo and matcha, I would get this. Order online is super convenient. Drinks are done in 10-15 minutes or so if its not too busy. In my opinion, I prefer Phin over Tram Coffee. The drinks are easier to drink (also on the heart) and the selection is great even if you're not a big Vietnamese coffee person.
Staff was very friendly and fast. Pretty quiet environment with people working on their laptops and calm music playing I ordered the pandan coffee less sweet. It truly was less sweet. I really tasted the coffee element rather than having it as a sweet treat, so I'd say stick to regular sugar if you want something sweet. The pandan flavor wasn't very heavy (possibly due to the less sugar) but was still enjoyable, and the coffee wasn't overwhelming. I'd say the coffee isn't as strong as some other places, which could be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. It gave me the energy that I needed for the day without having me jittery or bouncing off the walls Overall, I'd give it a 7.5/10. Very good coffee and flavors and I would definitely come back to try more drinks. I definitely recommend this place
I was stoked to find a nearby coffee shop with corn latte! The shop itself very cute & aesthetic. Their menu has unique Asian flavors both coffee & matcha. Pandan, ube, corn, banana, pina colada, etc flavors. It sounded very promising. We had the corn latte and banana matcha. The flavor for banana and corn was spot on, tasted very true to the fruit/vegetable itself. However, the coffee and matcha flavor and strength was lacking. I didn't get my daily caffeine dose and had to drink an at home coffee later to get my energy. While the drinks had flavor they weren't as creamy and strong in the caffeine. We got less sweet which was a good call bc it was still sweet.
After trying the Campbell location, I wanted to check out this one. It is much smaller, bust still has plenty of seating. The menu doesn't offer the flights, but I only came for one thing and one thing only. BANANA MATCHA OAT MILK LATTE, duh. It was pretty good, love the fresh banana and creamy oat milk, but considering I had just had one from the Campbell location the day before, it didn't taste exactly the same. I preferred Campbell's. My partner ordered the Phin coffee and he enjoyed it, it does take a minute though. He also liked the banana matcha latte with regular milk. Anyway, service was quick and friendly. There was an accidental extra charge on our order and they corrected it. No pet friendly seating outside.
Love this take on matcha. I normally get the egg matcha which tastes like condensed milk mixed with egg yolk on top of a matcha latte (I don't recommend it if you have a sensitive stomach). I also stick to their regular sweetness level. Weekday mornings are pretty empty but the weekends can get busy. The employees are friendly and drinks are made fairly quick. There are at least 5 tables inside to hangout at.
I absolutely loved the Egg Coffee here. The topping is incredible--thick, rich, and addictive (like next-level whipped cream). A quick tip: I ordered 50% sweetness and it was still quite sugary, so I'd highly recommend dialing it down to 25% next time. The Matcha Banana was decent, but the matcha didn't taste like ceremonial grade, so I probably wouldn't order it again. I was SO EXCITED when I heard Phin Cafe opened close by. Had to stop by and try their drinks and ended up going back again to try their Bahn Mi and Pandan Waffle as well. First time we went we got various coffee drinks like the Pandan, Nutella Banana, Egg... what's nice is you can substitute the milk with oat milk for those of us who are a bit lactose intolerant. All the drinks were delicious and not too sweet. I'm so glad I got the LARGE Nutella Banana Coffee drink. What an amazing delicious combo!! We also got their Pork and Pate Chaud and their Mushroom Chaud. Both were delicious. They have different Chaud offerings depending on the day so we were fortunate to have different choices. Later in the week - hubby and I went back to try their Bahn Mi, pandan waffle and their Tropical Zest drink. Their Pandan Waffle - the BEST every - even better than the ones I would get in Viet Town so definitely coming here for my pandan waffle cravings. It was HUGE, fluffy and had the perfect pandan flavor with it not being too sweet. And their Tropical Zest was refreshing and next time I'm getting a large!! The disappointment for me was the Bahn Mi. We got the pork and pate bahn mi with extra veggies that I paid 50 cents more for. I guess I'm used to shredded pickled veggies and they do huge cucumber bites with chunks of carrots? Not sure where the "extra" was? The bread has a weird texture on the outside crust - and the pate was meh. Definitely not something we will order again. Though they were super nice and cut it in half and wrapped each half individually which was nice given hubby and I were sharing everything! I am definitely trying more of their drinks and their pandan waffle is our must for sure!!

Love this new location! This Phin Cafe location has similar dark-wood and foresty aesthetics compared to its original location, and they both provide a cozy space for working, studying, or catching up with family and friends. Nutella Banana Coffee: The drink was too rich and heavy for my taste, but I appreciated the blend of the banana with the chocolate-hazelnut that made a smooth, milkshake-light sweetness. The coffee was able to help detract slightly away from the heavy mix. Pandan Coffee: I enjoyed this drink more due to its fragrant and strong pandan aroma that goes well with Vietnamese-style coffee. The creamy and bold taste gave me a strong start to my day that nearly kept me up late into the night. The drink is also not too sugary!
I went here upon recommendation from my husband after a meal in the same plaza. My husband recommended the egg creme topping, so this is what I went with: a small hot coffee with egg creme topping. The texture is super thick. Like goop going down your throat, and thick cream that will clog your blood vessels. I tried stirring for a long time and even asked if they can remove the cream and add more coffee to even it out. But it was still a clunk of sweet cream goop than coffee. I tried my husband's iced version, and it was fine. So I would maybe advise on the iced version and steer away from the hot. They were nice and tried to be accommodating, but I think they have to go back to the drawing board with this one. Ambiance is casual for you to hang out w friends or study/work quietly.
Such a great new spot to study, work, or catch up with friends! The café is spacious, cozy, and easy to find -- plus there's plenty of parking. They serve some amazing Vietnamese-style specialty drinks -- from creamy egg coffee to fragrant pandan and ube lattes, and even salted coffee for something unique. It was late afternoon, so we opted for something fun and unique such as the sesame rose Matcha (7/10) and a corn latte (7/10). They were both adjusted to half sweet and it was perfect for us! I think the corn latte would have been even better with some kind of a cold foam on top. There's also a small menu of bánh mì sandwiches and snacks, perfect if you're planning to stay a while. Definitely a hidden gem for coffee lovers and students alike -- especially with their seasonal drinks rolling out now!
Phin Cafe has become one of my favorite Vietnamese-style cafes in the Bay Area. I've tried a few different drinks & enjoyed them all. "The" Phin Coffee is a unique experience; you get to prepare the drink to your liking. The Milo Coffee and Nutella Banana Coffee became new favorites that are hard to find elsewhere. I'll note that the default sweetness might be a bit much for the average person. I've tried a few snacks and thought they were fine. The Pâté Chaud was fresh & tasty. However the Egg Puff and the biscotti that comes with the Phin Coffee were more average. The service is friendly. They often provide good tips, like warning how much caffeine is in the large drinks & how best to prepare the Phin Coffee. It's also fun to watch them film new content for social media. The vibes are on-point. The inside is well-decorated & lit. There is complimentary Wi-Fi, charging, & restrooms. It's good for solo or small groups. My final comment is that this plaza's parking lot fills up on the weekends, so finding a spot was more challenging than expected. But it's always been worth it! read more
Great coffee, even better service, and a clean, cute, quiet little shop. They're better known for iced drinks and they do taste better than the hot. The sweet levels are "sweet" and "less sweet." "Sweet" was way too sweet, so I'd recommend going with less then adding more if needed. I tried the hot milo latte, which tasted like a hot chocolate with espresso, pretty good. The iced banana latte was really good. All in all I'd go back when craving an iced coffee. read more
So excited that they opened a vietnamese cafe in one of my childhood plazas! They have a decent amount of seating, I've been here twice now to study and both times I was able to get a table! They also have outlets and free wifi! You will smell like coffee once you leave tho haha I tried the egg matcha latte because I was feeling matcha over coffee. The matcha was alright, pretty solid. It did have the slightest bit of grassy aftertaste though. The egg cream added a nice creaminess to it. Less sweet is already decently sweet. Lowk the star of the show are their banh mis tho. I tried the bbq pork one and the pork was perfectly sweet and savory, the veggies inside were fresh, and the bread was very crispy! I'd def come back to try other items :) read more

Pandan waffle came warm and had a nice chew while being crisp! I recommend eating it warm and right away. The egg cream was thick and I recommend less sweet. The inside is very cozy with several small tables for sitting; the table was wobbly but other than that it was a great spot to hang out! Lots of parking in the plaza and other food places nearby. read more
Been here a handful of times and their drinks never miss! The Egg coffee is our go-to. The pandan matcha is good, too. The pandan waffle is just ok. Service is always efficient and the wait is never too long. Parking is semi-easy. Indoor seating is ample and usually quite clean. Would recommend! read more
Omg such a cute cafe!! Plenty of seating indoors to study and chat. Very clean and pleasant inside. Service is quick as well. I got the egg coffee and it was okay! The coffee was lighter than what I expected out of viet coffee but that was perfect for me. I did feel like the egg was a little too eggy. They seem to have food options as well so I'd love to try that next time. Downside is that it does seem pretty pricey in my opinion. read more
I would give this place 4.5/5, not 5/5 bc the chicken bahn mi was abysmal. Firstly, the ambiance is so nice. Feels new, clean, and well air conditioned. There r plenty of seats inside and saw some people studying/working. They come to take ur order right away. I got the banana matcha less sweet and the #1 bahn mi (with pate and mixed meat) i had a feeling my usual chicken order wouldnt be as good. Friend also ordered the chicken bahn mi and Americano. Americano was 5/5 made it extra hot but the chicken bahn mi the chicken was not good, he said it tasted old for me it didnt have flavor and tasted not fresh. My banana matcha was so good. Smooth and delicious and not bitter at all. My bahn mi was pretty yummy. Im not a big fan of pate and the mixed meats but if was good and we both loved the fresh bread. I got to try lavender coffee, one of the spring series drink. Its a perfect balance of bold and delicate, i love how rich the coffee is in contrast of the soft floral note from the lavender (they had flower bits in the drink as well!) Highly recommend to try out this drink! I also love the vibe of this location, i could be here for hours for a study section, service is warm and personal as well. Solid vietnamese coffee but still wouldn't be my top choice in the bay. The egg coffee was great. The egg too was not too sweet and consistency was perfect. For the vietnamese coffee itself, I think I prefer Tram because it seems stronger/richer. Matcha here is alright. I wouldn't get it again. Good amount of seating instead but mostly for parties of 2. You can order online! Service is quick. There are three locations in total. This one does not have toppings for their drinks :( read more
My favorite coffee shop ever. These guys really get me! Place your order "for here if you can." It makes a huge difference. In addition to the lively Studio Ghibli music they play most days, the full experience and presentation is way better in the store. Watch your coffee drip-brew, then open the lid and mix it the way you want with your amazingly flavored, decadent cream of your choice and as ice or drink warm. Everything you need for the perfect cup of coffee is in the tray, with a few biscotti on the side. We also tried a few of their snack items and we enjoyed them, you. We were visiting the area, but we came here every day we were here and enjoyed everything we ordered. Egg coffees are very rich. They give you a "less sweet" option that is plenty sweet for me. They also have teas, matchas, and delicious smoothies. Options range from savory (ube, sesame, rose, avacado) to sweet (strawberry, coconut, etc.). The staff is very friendly, and we waited a few minutes for our order but it was oh so worth it! read more
Stopped in after running some errands. There's a parking lot outside which makes parking easy. This looks like a cool place to get work done. There were a lot of people studying and catching up with people. I was only expecting them to serve drinks but they actually serve sandwiches and other food. Combination banh mi: 2/5, The sandwich was a lot drier than I expected. I even asked for extra pate but they didn't put too much. The bread was still crunchy and there was an okay amount of meat. Banana matcha: 3/5, I wanted to like this one more but it was just okay. The banana is more of a milk instead of a cream. The matcha itself had a more grassy and bitter taste. I think I'm used to matcha tasting a little sweeter. Overall, I would come back to try their other drinks but I would pass on the sandwich read more
I can't believe it took me this long to discover this place when it's so close to where I live--right by my childhood Safeway! As of today, Phin has officially become my new go-to spot for Vietnamese coffee. Their traditional Vietnamese iced milk coffee is SO good--rich, bold, and perfectly balanced. And speaking of balance, I absolutely love that you can customize the sweetness level. The space itself is beautiful: super duper clean, tidy, and very well decorated. It feels cozy and it's such a nice place to sit and enjoy your drink. I wasn't able to hang out (took my drink to-go) but I plan to visit again and enjoy the sandwiches and the drip coffee made with the phin filter, as it should be. You can tell they really care about the details and quality. The people working there are also sweet and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Man! It's the inconsistency that bothers me! Sometimes everything is just amazing, like my order on Sunday 2/15/26, but then I order the same thing on Wednesday 2/18/26: pandan waffle, unagi musubi, and egg coffee. The order was placed in a bag, so the waffle was a wilted mess. The musubi was tiny, and torn, and there was barely any unagi in it. How can the quality be so inconsistent? And why is half of my drink cream? I love it when it's right, but when it's wrong...it's TERRIBLY wrong. read more
I'm glad such a wonderful "hang out" cafe has opened up nearby. Apparently they have been opened since Feb of this year (2025). I do come to the Safeway in this shopping center every now and then but I suppose I don't come around this corner much. I got The Phin Coffee. This is the typical Vietnamese style drip coffee where you gotta have a bit of patience for the dripping before enjoying before being able to enjoy. Great for my occasion since I intended to do some stuff on my laptop here. This is only available in-store. The staff was attentive enough to make sure I had a table as I ordered this and also called someone over to clean up the one table that was open for me. The coffee comes with some biscotti and a choice of topping which I got "egg" flavor. It's sort of a custardy cream. TBH, I wasn't really sure how to consume it so I just poured most of it into my coffee and left a bit to dip my biscotti with. All in all, quite an enjoyable treat. I also got a BBQ pork banh mi. Pretty good. Bread tasted fresh and was nicely toasted and soft on the inside. I ended up hanging out in the cafe for about 1.5 hours and it's been pretty much full the entire time. Probably over half the tables have folks with their laptops and the other half with people chatting. Highly recommend! read more

Phin Coffee w Egg Cream $8.5 - What a treat! Not only are there multiple ways to enjoy the coffee, but comes with some baguette (?) toast to dip in the egg cream as well. Employees were very kind and helpful, love the Christmas music, vibes, and decorations! Would happily come back again and recommend to friends! Saw someone in the parking lot holding one of their drinks without realizing this cafe opened in this plaza! I just had to go try it out. I got the pandan matcha and pandan waffle. Pandan Matcha - The matcha was a bit bitter and wouldn't be one of my top matcha drinks. The pandan was creamy and decent. I didn't adjust the ice levels (unsure if possible), but half my cup was filled with large ice cubes and I wasn't a huge fan of that... Pandan Waffle - slightly crispy and not the chewy type of waffle. I still liked it overall and it came out hot and fresh. I'm willing to try an ube drink next time, but maybe it's better to get their vietnamese coffees since that seems to be what they're known for... Service was nice and fast. The cafe has some nice vibes. There are a quite a few small tables. Easy to read or do some work in this environment and saw some other patrons painting peacefully. read more
Aesthetic atmosphere, nice cozy colors and relaxing music, could see myself doing work here or reading a book. Chatted with a friend while I waited for the coffee to finish dripping. A lot of options, but I ended up with the Phin Coffee, because it seems to be their signature/main drink. Phin cafe is a cutely decorated coffee shop with Vietnamese-inspired drinks and snacks - and drinks are clearly their strong suit. The hot egg cream coffee (ordered less sweet) had a thick, rich custard-cream layer blanketing strong espresso. The sweet and bitter flavors were well-balanced. Sipping it felt like an indulgence. We took several of their snacks to go including their spinach and cheese pate chaud. The filling was seasoned well and the outside layers of the pastry was light and flakey, but the inside layers of the pastry were denser than ideal. The grilled pork bánh mì sandwich was ok and the texture contrast was there with the crunchy pickled veggies, and nice, soft pull-apart grilled pork. However the meat was overly sweet and didn't have any char or smokey flavor. Similarly the teriyaki spam musubi was on the sweet side and it would have been nice to have a little char to add another taste dimension. Both the pandan and bubble waffle were dry and bland. Microwaving them improved the taste and texture slightly, but I do think the batter itself needed a little more salt and milkfat to get extra richness and flavor. Overall Phin Cafe's drinks were nicely done but their snacks have room to grow. read more
Phin Cafe is currently in it's Soft Opening and offering a 20% off discount for drinks. I've tried their Blossom Hill location and enjoy their egg coffees, but decided to try their Matcha Latte here and it fell below the mark. Ordered a Matcha Latte, lightly sweetened and found the drink itself to be unsweetened and tasted more like milk if anything. I did get some slightly grassy notes and bitterness at the end, but nothing more. It simply wasn't giving. The color itself looked promising when I picked it up, but quickly noticed the color turned into a more dull yellowish-green halfway into the drink. I do like that the shop itself is pretty spacious, bright natural light and the staff was quick with the order and of course the discount. I'd probably just stick to their coffee here, as that's what I've enjoyed at their other location. Lots of parking in the plaza so it's a non-issue. read more

Food: I ordered the ube coffee no sweet. The sweet comes from the ube cream so there is no need to add more! It was really good. I would definitely get it again. Ambiance: It kind of echoes because it's a smaller space and the outlets are not as accessible; they are located underneath the chairs. I would go to catch up with a friend rather than doing work if I was looking to go again. read more

New Vietnamese coffee in Cupertino! Came during brunch time for their soft opening and luckily it wasn't busy. During this soft opening they're also giving 20% off of your order! Interior has a clean modern aesthetic with the wooden tables and paneling, leather seats, and pendant lights! They also have indoor plants all around and what ties it in all together are the cute words/ lettering. Ordered the Ube Matcha and Ube coffee. These are both good, and can taste the ube but isn't too overpowering. Surprisingly both of these drinks were thicker in consistency compared to other ube coffees/ lattes I've had, but that's due to the Ube cream. Regardless these were yummy. Would want to come back and try their other items, especially their banh mi! read more

The pandan cream top oddly tasted like bananas in an artificial way, and the matcha was on the weaker side (culinary grade?). Off flavor aside, I've tried pandan matcha several times (at other shops) and IMO, once the two flavors blend, the drink tastes muddled. * Egg Coffee ($6) - Price before discount - Request regular sweetness Cà phê trứng has been all the rage lately and for good reason. This wasn't my drink but I did a taste test and it was eggcellent! A dessert-like coffee, a cup of robust dark brew is topped with a silky eggy foam giving tiramisu vibes. The sweetness of the foam perfectly cuts through the bitterness of the coffee. Wished they offered a decaf version for those who turn into Jessie Spano "I'm so excited..." with coffee. S E R V I C E Very friendly and warm service. Visited on day two of the soft opening so they were still figuring things out. If you're on a time crunch, def recommend ordering ahead online (at the time of my visit, it wasn't live yet). A M B I A N C E Casual cafe with 10-12 tables. Restroom requires a code (noted on your receipt). P A R K I N G Located at the less hectic side of the plaza, parking was easy. Same owner :) Love this location cause it's located in a small plaza, aka there's parking ! Also good amount of seating incase you want to hangout or do work here. Current soft opening gives you 20% off - not sure when that will end. Makes drinks even more worth it at around $5.52! |Salted Coffee (Reg price: $6.90)| -- my go-to! Peep my pic on the right side, that blend of whatever salted cream (?) they use is delicious with their strong Vietnamese coffee. You get the perfect blend of lil bit salty, not too sweet, with strong coffee flavors shining through with each sippy sip. Regular sweetness is okay for me ! (as someone who always gets things less sweet) |Egg Coffee (Reg price: $6.90)| - If you want a creamier drink and try out the coffee egg phenomenon. I'd probably get this less sweet if you want a stronger taste that isn't too sweet. Ive tried pandan and ube coffee at their Newark location and did enjoy them! Pandan more than the ube since the flavor was more apparent. Ube wasnt bad, but tasted more sweet to me. Tried their pandan waffle ($5.50) and it was pretty yummy! A new spot in the area for a caffeine fix! Lots of space inside to do work, and the baristas are really kind. Here's what I ordered: + Corn Coffee (5/5): I loved this one! The corn is sweet and subtle. Meanwhile, the coffee is strong and fragrant. Good quality stuff! + Banana Matcha (3/5): This might be an unpopular opinion... but I thought the banana would be sweeter and more artificial tasting. They clearly use natural real banana in this, which was just okay to me. I wish it was more like a boxed banana milk or banana pudding flavor.
