MAN this one has been on my radar for a minuteeeeeeeeee and to finally be able to try it and be very disappointed is an understatement. I arrived and saw the sign that says " wait to be seated " 15 minutes went by and not one person came to attend me until I was staring down a bartender so he could assist me and finally sat me down. I asked for a high chair and was never brought. I went and got it myself which is fine it is what it is It was bussy but not packed bussy the busiest table was already getting ready to leave and still no one attended me until again I had to go and grab a waiter to assist me which he was kind and calm so shoutout to him I ordered the guacamole with chips ( Waiter said there were no chips or salsa and I sent this back, I was expecting a vibrant citrusy fresh type of flavor and this was nothing related to that at all, no salt, no lime no flavor whatsoever) there's a smart an final down the store if I am an owner that shouldn't be an excuse. I should be ready for any and everything from opening to finish Carne asada taco with a side of rice and beans (meat was overcooked to the point it was crispy and not chewy. Beans and rice the beans had no salt or flavor again and the rice was coo) Azteca ceviche ( ceviche was good and spicy but nothing special ) Tacos el gobernador ( these were actually good and fire, I'd come back for these ) Agua de tamarindo (Watered down assuming they ran out) Y una agua mineral preparada (nothing crazy it was alright) Honestly I give it a 3/5 I will be coming back because there are other items I wanted to try but overall man this was not a good experience especially when they have hella bandas and grupos come and try the food!

From the first time we tried Agua Salada from its early days we knew this would be a staple for us in San Jose because you cant go wrong here. We came for Valentines Day weekend, and while we missed the live music we were able to still receive the complimentary champagne and a rose from the owner. I ordered the camarones pa la diabla, which was a good amount of shrimp, with rice and beans. I opted for the tortillas de harina, which also were very good. There were a few times the food tasted saltier than my preference, but it didnt ruin the dish. We also got the deconstructed sushi rolls, which were very good and fresh. Not pictured was my partners ceviche de jiba (crab) that actually had fresh crab (and not imitation). Prices are on par with other restaurants, and for the bay area. The owner came around and checked-in on tables around us too, which was a nice touch. The place has booth seating and tables, but it seems to have been busy so you may have a bit of a wait (but totally worth it).

Got the Torre de Mariscos Sinaloense, Steak Sopes & Fish tacos. All the he food was really good. Tons of flavor. Very fresh. Drinks we got margarita and beer. Both were a bit more expensive than i would expect at this place $18 and $9. From the size and quality, marg should have been $12. Service was good early on, and then got a little slow when trying to get check. Seemed really 1 server, 1 bartender, and 2 other guys mainly just talking when I saw them. Maybe just how it gets 2 on Saturday. The good far outweighs the not so great. Will be back.

We were craving aguachile recently and stopped by this place to try it out. It is very nice inside with plenty of seating and clean bathrooms. We were immediately seated and provided with cold glasses for our water and chips and salsa. I loved that the glasses were already cold, I thought it was a nice touch that I hadn't seen before. We tried their aguachile verde and camarones al mojo de ajo. Although very delicious, I just wish that the aguachile was left in the lime juice longer before being brought out. The staff were all very attentive and helpful and service was quick. It is located in a shopping center with parking available.

The food was good. The sushi was okay, the ceviche azteca is really spicy, my favorite was ceviche de pescado (fish) à la sierra. The mocktails were just okay. I tried the pineapple paraíso. Went in on a Sunday, they had live mariachi. Vibes were through the roof; however I do think the place is too small to have live mariachi. It is extremely loud. (This is coming from someone who loves to blast music) The service was just okay as well.

Our experience was not as good as the rest of the reviews. This is where Anejo was previously located. The ambiance infact seems similar to Anejo as well but apparently it's a brand new restaurant with new owners. *USP: slightly upscale Mexican cuisine. Lots of seafood based dishes. *Service: very attentive and friendly. We were served water and chips+salsa on the house as soon as we got seated. *Ambiance: lots of greenery, clean and pretty spacious. The blue fish shaped vases on the tables are pretty whimsical. *Food: this is where things fell flat for us. Lack of flavor and salt were a characteristic across all the dishes we ordered. Rice and beans were served in two of the dishes we got. The beans were cold and rice was crusty. Not sure if crusty rice was intentional but it tasted odd. The chicken fajitas were bland. The spicy Diabla shrimp was not as fiery or flavorful though it looked great. The chicken tacos were plain and simple with just chicken and onions, again lacking salt and flavor.

We ordered the ceviche de camarón con mango ($22), aguachile with green sauce ($20), tacos dorados de camarón ($22), and tacos de pulpo ($28) and for drinks the Agua Jamaica ($4). The seafood was fresh and flavorful overall. The ceviche unexpectedly included peaches, which worked but wasn't listed on the description of menu. The green sauce on the aguachile was bomb. The crispy shrimp tacos were tasty but overloaded with sauce and toppings, masking the shrimp's flavor. Salsas were solid, and service was friendly and attentive. The space is open and inviting. Only downside: I saw a staff member behind the bar lick sauce off his fingers while working, which was concerning, but we weren't there for the bar, although it did affect my overall impression. Also worth noting, this lunch meal for 3 was $115, including tip. Still, worth a visit for the food and vibe.

LOVEE this place!!!! The playlist was super good like all classics and the atmosphere was soooo good as well; very welcoming. Very fresh. The vibes are HERE. The lights and decor are also very nice as well as all the employees are very nice and welcoming The food is also the bomb!! I got tacos de asada and they were so good and super stuffed

Randomly stopped by here on our way back to SF, and was so impressed by their seafood dishes! We ordered their torre Marisco (seafood tower), carne asada plate, and fish tacos. Seafood tower was generous with the raw shrimp and seafood. Carne Asada grilled to perfection. I didn't have the fish tacos but they are double the size of an avg taco and mainly filled with fish and not filler ingredients. Portions are massive across the board at reasonable prices. Highly recommend to scratch that ceviche or aguachile itch! Only mild complaint is that the music is a bit loud so hard for convos but part of the vibe.

(SJ) Food: CEVICHE DE CAMARON COCIDO (CON MANGO EN SALSAS NEGRAS)(9.2/10) POACHED SHRIMP MARINATED IN BLACK SEAFOOD SAUCE, WITH CUCUMBER, TOMATO, SWEET ONION, MANGO, AND AVOCADO. Large portion size for a small. It was definitely filling. It has a hint of spice in the end. They were generous on the shrimp portion quantity where most restaurants lack on. Could have used more lime and a little salt. TACOS CAPEADO DE CAMARÓN (9.5/10) (BATTERED SHRIMP TACOS) TEMPURA-BATTERED SHRIMP IN CORN TORTILLAS WITH A CRISPY CHEESE SKIRT. HOUSE SLAW. AVOCADO, AND SMOKY CHIPOTLE SAUCE. Lots of flavor and shrimp was cooked properly. Plenty of texture and the acidity of the lime blends well with the ingredients. SUPER BAJA STYLE FISH TACOS(9.3/10) ENSENADA-INSPIRED BATTERED ALASKAN WHITE COD. SERVED IN WARM TORTILLAS WITH AVOCADO, CRISP CABBAGE, AND SMOKY CHIPOTLE SAUCE. Fish was perfectly crunchy. It's not soggy or falls apart too easily like for fried fish taco. Plenty of flavor. Both tacos also looked aesthetically pleasing. All the tortillas held well together despite all the ingredients Setting: great for small to large groups with a bar in the entrance. Clean. There was a mariachi playing the entire time and honestly was incredible. They played great music. Has television which played the 49ers game which is a plus Service: great service. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Checked up on us. Only thing is they messed up on our order. We ordered 3 shrimp tacos and 2 fish but got switched. But both were really delicious regardless. Price: price was worth it given the statements above. Will return for sure Parking: plenty of parking in the front

This was a food truck and now this is their brick and mortar restaurant. As an avid food lover I had to try, so off we went on a weekday night hopeful it'd be our new favorite spot. The Great: - The energy from the music, to the bustle, to the staff singing happy birthday to patrons had me smiling the whole time - Interior is nicely done, can totally see getting margaritas and vibing to the music - Accommodation: My food was wrong at first, but they fixed it with a quickness! - Variety: Menu has a lot to offer Undecided: -The food (chips, guac, shrimp tacos, steak tacos) was... missing something. I don't know what it was, but it didn't quite hit like I was expecting it to based on other reviews. - There was a social media filming session happening while we were eating .. it was awkward, but I get it for publicity, no hate. Maybe do it without patrons there in the future? Overall, I will be back to try more of the menu & have high hopes for this place!! Will update in the future to see if it hits 5 stars for me.

This spot is delicious! I've been twice in one month already hehehe. I was most excited to try the aguachile and it did not disappoint. Aguachile (10/10) - Good portion size to share or a feast for one. Super Baja style tacos (8/10) - Absolutely loaded and dressed. Good but it got messy. Grilled octopus tacos (10/10) - I love octopus so these were yummy! Service was great! Both times the servers were friendly and attentive. They opened recently so it was very clean too.

There's a free parking garage around the corner which was nice as well. We ordered an assortment of the raw fish crudos, honestly loved all of them. Out of all of them, the one I liked maybe just a little bit less was the tuna tostada (in terms of both portion size and taste). The cornbread was one of our favorites (portion size is on smaller side), and the only dishes that fell flat for us was first the fried chicken (very bland inside), and the buffalo mussels (too salty and spicy, but we have low spice tolerance). Nevertheless, as someone who eats with her eyes first, I very much loved the presentation of all the dishes. The menu rotates often, so very excited to come back again! Portion size is on the smaller side for sure (tapas), but prices were relatively reasonable, total came out to ~$150 pre tip.

We arrived on a Saturday evening for dinner. The restaurant is located in a nice newer plaza area in Cupertino off the Vallco Parkway close to where Vallco Shopping Mall once stood. The modern decor is nice and sleek. Whereas the vibe is bustling and welcoming. We ordered the combo of 2 pounds of shrimp with heads on, garlic noodles, and 2 steamed rice. The seafood boil came out in a large silver bowl instead of the usual large clear bag. I found this to be much better in presentation. Everything was so delicious. The captain Loui sauce was so flavorful and sweet. The shrimp were plump and juicy. Garlic noodles were tasty. A couple of saucy yummy corn and potato were found in the bowl which was a good surprise. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Cap't Loui. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The combo options were a great deal. Free Ice cream popsicles for dessert were a nice surprise at the end. We will definitely be back as their seafood boil is one of the better options in the South Bay.
