I've lived in this area all of my life and when a new restaurant comes around we always try it out. Amazing is how I would describe this one! The food is so good, everything we ordered ( we've been twice ) has been way above my expectations, the Kobe beef burger was delicious and cooked to perfection, their take on a Reuben was delicious and creative, and I love that they support other local businesses by sourcing some of their ingredients from other locals. The prices are what amazed me the most, for the amount and quality of the food you get, you can't find a better deal in this county! This place came highly recommended by a local. Beautifully restored building from the 1900s with high ceilings, wood floors and large windows framing the tress that line the main street outside. Laid back and welcoming atmosphere. Our party of four for dinner was seated right away even though the place was packed. The fried cod sandwich with fries was amazinggg. The salmon salad was cooked perfectly and had great flavor, paired sweet tender greens (instead of the typical overcooked and bitter.) The blue cheese and pesto burger was the star, an unexpected but so so delicious flavor combination, not to mention the perfect cook. Everything paired with the Ballast Point Sculpin IPA crowd favorite. Attentive and timely service, zero complaints... will be back again and again. read more

I have eaten here many times. The batting average, for great meals and service, is about 95%. That merits 5 stars. There have been a couple of fumbles along the way in the past year, but they got fixed everytime. That merits 5 stars. If you want cheap, be cheap and go elsewhere. We have visited many times. In the big world of food, they rate a 3-4, but in the category of beer/bar food/pubs they rate a 5. Service was excellent when they didn't know us, and it remains great know that they recognize us. The food is consistently excellent. We've had some "dud" meals but they don't lack for effort or experimenting with flavors. The great meals have been extremely memorable. There's no where else local that you can get the great microbrews they serve. Initimate the ambience is not. It's all about food and beer with attitude, and they consistently deliver. read more

My girl brought me here for my birthday dinner. The place is clean and the staff was friendly. Allie was our server and did a great job, very service oriented! We ordered the Ahi app and shrimp app, both were great! We really liked the Ahi, because it came with pickled cucumbers that blended very well with the peppered Ahi. I had a standard burger, which was cooked perfectly! My other half had the eggplant sandwich with pesto and said it was better than others she has had, because the pesto and cheese. She also liked the ranch dressing that came on her salad. The two reasons for not giving this place five stars... the fries were undercooked and soft. The price for a draft pint of IPA seemed a little high. Despite these things we will definately go back, and will ask to sit in Allie's section. read more

As a Diamond Back fan, I eagerly awaited the opening of Standard Pour. I think it's got a great start. Unlike it's predecessors in it's location, Standard is starting off somewhat limited, and concentrating on good service and a consistent quality of food. Good, personable staff and a nice atmosphere, not to mention the food again, will make Standard succeed where the others failed. To rebut other reviews, the "Mac n Cheese" is amazing, the wine is priced the same as Diamond Back, and the Pulled Pork is delicious. No, the mac n cheese is not Kraft, and not intended as a kid's dish either. No longer needing a kid's menu I don't know if they offer one, however, like the Diamond Back downtown, if you ask they will accommodate for you and your children. And happily do so! Yes the menu is limited, and like the days when Diamond Back started out across the street with a small but delicious menu, I see great things in store for Standard Pour. Plus it's nice to have a good eatery up the hill and closer to home than downtown. read more

The garlic fries are very good. I ordered the cheese sandwich and added bacon to it. It came and there was no bacon - there was barely any cheese it was so thin. Tasted ok but pretty blah. We (wife and 4 yr old) visited on Dec 14. We were seated with smile. Then no one came to our table for 25 minutes. No one told us the specials. We had to get up out of our chairs to go and read them for ourselves. We had to flag down someone and ask them to take our order. The woman said our waitress was busy. She took our order. Then we did not get our food forever. And most was cold. The taste was good for cold food. Very disappointing. Not going back. read more

Our server River was knowledgeable and had great personality- and brought good eats to our table. She even made suggestions for experimenting with combining sauces for a customized eating experience. Best beer selection in Tuolumne county. Food is "elevated" pub fare - sandwiches, burgers, salads and a few specials, all with a gourmet twist. Staff is friendly and top notch. Like any restaurant they'll have the occasional down/off night for food or service, but overall this is one of the best bets for a great casual dining experience in the area. read more

They have THE BEST onion rings me and my boyfriend have ever had. Their grilled cheese is also amazing. I have been here several times during lunch in the past and always had great food and great service. Today was different. My boyfriend ordered a burger with no tomato and no onion. He's highly allergic to onion. I got a burger as well with no tomato. Both of our burgers came out with all toppings. For me this is no problem, but my boyfriend is a different story with food allergies. So he told his server that he's very allergic to onions and asked it to be fixed. All she said to begin with is "I thought I told them to leave them off", she did apologize later on. So she took the burger back and came back a couple minutes later with a "fixed" burger. He still had an onion on the burger. Once ok I can understand that mistakes happen, but twice even knowing he was allergic?!? Are you kidding me?!? Now he's having a reaction, even though everything was supposed to be fine. Im not sure if they just took off the onion and let it go, but if they did what a good restaurant would do he wouldn't be having a reaction of any kind. This was the first and only time he ate today so theres absolutely nothing else that would cause this. Needless to say I will NOT be going back and I will be speaking with a manager soon. Let's just say I was really glad that I paid for the meal with a gift card and not out of my pocket. My boyfriend and I went here and were pretty disappointed with everything but the fries with buttermilk parsley ranch. We started out with the hush puppies which were pretty dry and super bland. It was basically cheap cornbread. Then I got the chicken sandwich and my boyfriend a burger. Both were just alright. We finished with the cheesecake for dessert. We were lucky that they put a blueberry topping on it because without it was not good at all. For some reason the graham cracker crust was BITTER! The actual cheesecake itself lacked flavor. All of this cost $43, so if I hadn't had a gift card I would have been really upset about paying for this, but at least I know I won't be going there again with my own money. Also, we had a good server so that was nice. To me the food is either not good at all or just so-so, definitely not worth the price. read more

Been eating at this restaurant for several years now and it seems to be in decline. The decor and atmosphere are comfortable and inviting, although maybe due for an update. The food seems to be losing its flare though, as the last few meals seemed to be lacking in flavor an/or missing some needed zing. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was dry and devoid of offsetting flavors. My wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and honestly, we could of created something better at home. The burgers are still decent but every time I veer off my mainstay and try something new, I deeply regret it. Problem is that there's plenty of places to get a burger. It's nice to have some places that offer a change of pace- and The Standard Pour is NOT that place. read more
