Imagine driving up to your home and seeing water seeping out of your garage. You enter the house and try to locate the source of the water as you investigate you realize that every square inch of your home has one to two inches of water. That is what I came home to one day and I was overwhelmed. I knew I needed help and quick. I did and Internet search for water damage and The Steam Team came up. I called them and the lady that answered the phone was professional, took down my information and said someone would call me back. Within a few minutes Wes Aldridge, Restoration Manager, was calling me back and said he received the information from his dispatch and he had a crew on the way. This impressed me and it resulted in a decrease tension I was feeling. Sure enough within 30 minutes at the peak of Austin, Texas after work, rush hour traffic The Steam Team's crew start to arrive at my home and the drying and mitigation process began. The time was about 5:45 pm. The crew demonstrated confidence and I could tell that they were experienced. I met Wes Aldridge in person and shortly after I met Brett Cooley, Construction Manager of The Steam Team. It was at this movement that both Wes and Brett informed me that they would help me through the entire restoration process. I was immediately relieved that they provided such a service. They explained that they would assist me in drying the home, a very extensive process, along with furniture care, beddings, drapes, electronic, rugs, replace all my hardwood floors, painting every interior wall, make sure cabinet bases were dry. The moved furniture and other items to my garage and made sure drying fans and dehumidifiers were in place before they left for the day that ended at 2:30am. This was to ensure the water damage was minimized and prevent the development of mold. They also provided a long list of other services but too many to list here. True to their word Wes and Brett walked me through the mitigation and reconstruction process that partly consisted of replacing, baseboard, door molding and wood floors. They also repaired the plumbing that was the cause of the water damage. Had all my electronics dried and cleaned. Dry-cleaned every item of clothing, bedding and drapes. The drying and reconstruction service resulted in a lot of dust so they also had my A/C duct worked cleaned. They sent a cleaning crew to clean up my home and when they were done they moved my furniture back and I was back to how I was before the damaged happened. In the end they even pressure washed my driveway because it was soiled during the reconstruction. An extremely important benefit working with Wes of The Steam Team was that he worked with my Ameriprise Insurance claims adjuster, Nicole Boesken. I am the owner of a pediatric dental office with no family to help me communicate with Ameriprise to handle the claim. I could concentrate on my practice and rest assured that Wes was looking out for me and moving the project along. They even worked on restoring my home on Saturdays. Overall my experience with The Steam Team was excellent, they were fantastic in communication and quick responses, responded immediately to my concerns and facilitated the restoration to my home. They were polite, made themselves available at any hour, confidential, and professional. I was extremely lucky that I selected them off the Internet search. It was time to get our carpets cleaned and I started to call the company we used last time (the one that takes out full pages ad's and has a special for $99). My sweet hubby reminded me that last time it was awful and we wound up asking for our money back, and I had completely forgotten that. I guess having two kids in 2 years wreaks havoc on your memory. Anyhoo...I made two appointments for our carpet cleaning, one with the Steam Team and another with a company that also gets stellar reviews. I decided to go with Steam Team because they were able to quote me an exact price and told me two guys would be coming instead of one so it would take less time (read I wouldn't have to keep two kids busy in public all morning and the carpet drying could get started sooner). Well, it turns out only one guy, Shon, came to the appointment today but apparently he didn't need a team. He was very professional, friendly, efficient and got the job done lickety split. My biggest concern was making sure he extracted enough water out of the carpets and mentioned that to him. When I got home the carpets were damp to almost dry. Amazing! The stains that had been there were gone, but I know in the past with the other company they reappeared a of couple weeks later. I was very impressed with the professional, courteous service I received from Mario at the Steam Team today. The last time we used the Steam Team was after a flood in our house after our water heater burst and again when the toilet in our master bedroom flooded about half of our house. On both occasions the Steam Team came through for us and restored our home to better than before the floods. Today was no different except this time we only needed our carpets cleaned. It had been about four years since we last cleaned our carpet. They were very dirty and our miniature dachshund had a few accidents. I was very pleased at how well Mario was able to explain the entire carpet cleaning process to me and give me a price for the service before he started. (Great Communications throughout). Once Mario started he did an exceptional job in spot treating the tough stains and deodorizing all of the carpet as he steam cleaned the entire carpet.. You can tell Mario likes what he does, because he was very pleasant to work with very knowledgeable and answered all my questions while resolving all of my carpet issues. After reading the positive reviews here I booked the Steam Team to clean my carpets and microfiber sofa. I am so glad that I did! We have two VERY BAD cats, so I got the ensyme treatment for the carpets (bedroom, stairs and hallway for $50). The sofa was badly soiled with body oil stains that made the light tan fabric look shiny and leather-like instead of soft and suede-like. I'd had it cleaned by another company (Steamers Carpet Care) a few years ago, but it did little to remedy the problem. Due to this I explained that I wasn't sure if the cleaning would work, and my technician Frank offered to do a test portion to make sure his methods would make a difference before doing the whole sofa. Well, these people know what they are doing. The body oil stains (and all others) are GONE and the sofa looks like new again! The carpets look great. Time will tell how well the enzyme cleaner worked (it takes several days for it to dry out completely and "eat away" the pet stains), but I am optimistic. Great work by these guys, and they gave me their current specials without my having to ask. Plus Frank threw in a complimentary bottle of upholstery cleaner to help me combat the body oil stains in between professional cleanings. read more

After reading everyone's reviews on Yelp, I scheduled an appointment to have someone come out and give me an estimate on cleaning my couch and white chair. I used a promotion on their website which brought the total to a decent price. He was also able to perform the upholstery cleaning right then & there! As he was cleaning the furniture, I mentioned how I have a dog, and the carpets get dirty pretty often. So I usually like the carpets cleaned quarterly. The problem is that my carpet always looks dirty a day or two after I have them cleaned by a company my apartment community uses. When I told him how much I pay, he asked how long the cleaners take when they are here, then explained what they are doing and why the quality is so bad. He also explained how their company does it differently and takes an extra step to guarantee the dirt is really out of the carpet. Well, they had another online discount for carpet cleaning, and he had time to clean them right away too, so I decided to have him clean my carpets and compare the job with my past experiences with a different carpet company. I recently used the Steam Team for a special cleaning for the Jewish High Holydays. Not only did Ronny and Sean pay close attention to my explanation, but they appreciated my sharing it. They then took pains, and went to a lot of trouble, to help clean a rabbit-stained rug, and worked very hard. They did some extra things we asked of them, cheerfully and with good grace. When it came time to tip them, they understood that we were limited in our ability, and kindly assurred us that whatever we could do would work. When you invite strangers into your home, it is important that their human vibes are positive, and in this case, I felt like I had two old friends helping me here in my home. A tree fell, leaving a large hole in our roof [over our master-bathroom], destroying a large area of shingles in the process, and THEN it rained for a number of days! We had to put out a number of buckets to collect all the water that was coming down from the ceiling; the sheet-rock was bulging, and spewing water everywhere! Thanks to the "Steam Team." *SCOTT [supervisor], had *ANDREW come out to our house to access the damage to and determine what needed to be done. Then, within an hour, two angels appeared: *ANTWONE and *NORGE [Mitigation and Demo team]. These two incredible men: applied a tarp over the damaged roof [until the roofers can arrive], removed all the sheet-rock from the ceiling, pulled out all of the "blown-in" insulation, disinfected the entire underside of the roof, sealed-off the open space, and put in place an elaborate system to dry out all of the water that had accumulated within the confines of the damaged area. My mom used the Steam Team to remediate damage sustained from another carpet cleaning company. They took really good care of her, and did a great job on her carpet, so I decided to give them my business. Glad I did. Steven (Edgar) arrived on time, and was courteous, professional, informative, and personable. I had asked for several things to be cleaned: carpet, area rugs, and our sectional. Steven was kind enough to explain that our carpet was beyond repair and that he would feel bad taking my money to clean it. Who does that? I was so impressed that he walked away from "business." Best in Emergency Water Restoration I am a multi family property manager and have used plenty of vendors in my career for emergency water issues. Emergencies such as water intruding up to four units and having to temporarily re-home residents. My experience with Steam Team has been the fastest reaction time (within an hour) to arrive at the emergency, they are always very communicative with the on site team, they show up with the man power and tools needed for the call. They also have bids to repair and estimate time of completion to you within 24 hours. They always make their deadlines and communicate any further issues to you right away. I wanted to rent a Rug Doctor the other night and "do it myself". After going to WalMart and buying $40 worth of cleaning products and then seeing that their self-service rug cleaning machine dispenser was broken and then going to HEB the following day, waiting for 30 minutes for their customer service to open (they didn't have self-servic rental) just to find out that the rules were different than what I was told by the Rug Doctor people the night before - I decided to call someone. So I called The Steam Team because I saw that they had the best reviews pop up on the google search. They scheduled an appointment for me the same day! Roman was the person who came to clean my carpet. He was very friendly, very professional and very helpful. I had a lot of the furniture already moved from the areas I wanted clean but he had no problems moving the other things around as needed to do what he needed to do. This company is great. They were able to squeeze me in before the holidays and came right on time. I wish I could remember the gentlemen's name that actually cleaned our carpet but he was very professional and not pushy. We just bought our first home and after the sweet elderly lady actually moved out her furniture we discovered all the "gifts" her dogs left that she was unaware of. We replaced every bit of carpet downstairs but she never had anything upstairs so we opted to get that cleaned instead. She also used to keep her dogs in the large laundry room we have that is tiled. So we had that cleaned too. He informed me that dogs had left spots upstairs too and showed me the places. So we used the enzyme cleaner he offered. He was not pushy about this at all. So for 2 bedrooms, a living area, the stairs and the tiled laundry (that really is huge) it was $202 and he was in and out in about an hour and a half on a Monday night. Very worth the money. Let me start by saying, I hope you never find yourself needing a restoration company. In the situation that you do, I highly recommend The Steam Team! We had a house fire and honestly didn't know where to start. We were being solicited by other companies as our house was still on fire, and I knew I didn't want to work with those companies. With the holidays upon us, I scheduled a carpet cleaning for our house. The technician, Ramon, arrived at the scheduled time and surveyed the job. I especially appreciate how he walked me through my house and asked me about certain stains and any problem areas I would like for him to concentrate on. He moved my furniture and placed plastic blocks under the feet. I didn't have to make any requests, because he knew exactly what to do. A pet stain enzyme was used and I really think it made a difference as I don't have the dog odor anymore. Upon completion, he used a towel to dry the tile and make sure we wouldn't slip. He reviewed the carpet cleaning process and made sure that if any areas did not dry well and stains were still present, I was to call the company and he would personally retreat the spots. At first mention, I thought the Steam Team only handled carpet cleaning, but they sent a very knowledgeable estimator out to determine my needs. Tiara explained to me exactly what would happen, gave me a quote and set up my appointment with complete ease. I was able to get an appointment quickly that fit with my schedule.
