Really lovely all vegan place that I visited twice while I was in Denver…read more Between my two visits, I got the gnocchi with sweet potato sauce, the Cuban sandwich, ginger beer, and the giant chocolate chip cookie. All of it was really great, but I think the gnocchi was my favorite of the two entrees. The ginger beer is not super gingery, tastes like Fevertree. The chocolate chip cookie with sea salt is an absolute must! It comes wrapped so I took mine back to the hotel to share with my non-veg husband after he got back from his work conference dinners and he said they were the best chocolate chip cookies he'd ever had! Also, I think it's fun that the plates are made to look like wood, but aren't. The first time I came it had been pouring rain, so the restaurant wasn't as full and it was very easy to find an open table, but the second time it was positively packed, and both times were week nights, so I suspect this place is pretty popular with the locals. I like that the ordering is done through QR code and website, since that would make it easy for groups and means you don't have to all know what you want at the same time (or, if dining solo as I was, you don't need to interact as much with staff, which is sometimes a blessing). Several members of the staff wore face masks, which I appreciated, and there were some nice paintings on the walls from local artists for sale. If I am ever in Denver again, I think I would really like to come back here--and I'd definitely get the chocolate chip cookie every time!

Came here for a solo lunch on a Tuesday-- it was later in the afternoon and they weren't too busy …read more The decor is clean and welcoming (lots of wood & artwork). You seat yourself and have a choice to order with the QR code or go up to the counter. It being my first time I went up to the counter to get some additional recommendations. I went with the side buffalo cauliflower & the chicken Caesar salad. Both were fresh, had lots of flavor and filling-- highly recommend. When closing out my tab at the counter, I picked up a chocolate chip cookie togo (extra large in size and just the right about of sweetness). With the menu so unique I prefer a little more "hands on service" but the experience was tasty and eager to come back and try other things. Clean, homemade, high quality vegan food with lots of GF options/ substitution-- Highly recommend.

The space feels very Root Down in the best way. Funky, artsy, a little mid century, but still comfortable and not trying too hard. Then the food starts showing up and suddenly the whole table is passing plates around because everyone keeps saying "wait, try this." We ordered a bunch of things and the smoked carrots were probably the biggest surprise for me. I would absolutely go back just to eat those again. The masa birria, diver scallops, and grilled artichokes and asparagus were all great too. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly and came with duck fat potatoes, which immediately puts me in a good mood. Dessert also fully delivered. The banana cream pie with black sesame whip was one of those desserts where you keep going back for another bite even when you're already full. It just felt like a really thoughtful meal from start to finish. Definitely one of my favorite dinners I've had in a while.

Spacious, it has a full bar and gender neutral comfort rooms. My server Sheena was lovely and gave great service. Got Seitan wings. You can have buffalo or barbeque sauce. You also have the option of half and half which I did. I liked the barbeque sauce more; buffalo sauce had a kick but not very spicy. For dessert, I got the Sundae O' Sundae which was a brownie sundae with eclipse soft serve (you can also do half vanilla, half chocolate!), brownie and chocolate sauce. It was not that rich and it was alright. They also sold some merchandise like shirts. Overall, would give the place a 4/5.

Came here for a birthday dinner tonight, and the kitchen is closed over an hour before closing time??? Really disappointed, can't refund that uber and have to find a new bday dinner plan. Why do we post things online if we can't honor them? The pastries are great but have had multiple not-so-great in store visits. Update: I guess news has come out that employees are mistreated a poorly paid. It seems to show

As a bacon lover, this sandwich felt like home. I was really pleased they opt for a savory tofu as the protein option on this sandwich, as I prefer tofu to tempeh for all reasons. Each food item on their vegetarian and plant-forward menu comes with a side salad dressed in this incredible, light vinaigrette. I dream of that dressing. Top it off with delicious beverage options, and a welcoming and sunlight-drenched interior, ugh! Love this spot. I'll be back soon!

I had the Thai peanut salad, which was incredibly bland. The sauce/dressing was scanty and barely tasted like anything -- I didn't taste peanuts really and definitely no hint of curry/spice like I expected. There was a section of sliced jalapeno but I didn't want to eat raw jalapeno with my salad, I wanted a zestier dressing. The "crispy" tofu was tofu that was completely fried so it had a texture like a crunchy zwiebach cracker/rusk -- I had been envisioning something with some softness and a chewy exterior. My beverage was a lavender Palmer that was a pint jar of lemonade with some lavender tea on top. For those two items it was $27. I have some oral allergy issues and after eating, I had a "burned" mouth feeling like I get from tahini, walnut or eggplant. I don't think any of these ingredients would have been in the salad, but I do not have an issue with peanuts (eat them all the time). I called to ask if the dressing had tahini in it and was told no, but it still concerned me.
