None of the cameras at the gate work and they don't have cameras anywhere else on the property, except on their garbage dumpster (that camera works!). They do not care about keeping your property on their lot secure. Our trailer was very suspiciously stolen right after we moved it to one of only two spots that were available. Within two months, our trailer was gone and so was the employee that showed us the parking spots. They even have language in their contract that includes "mysterious disappearances" as one of the many scenarios for which they are not responsible, indicating that they know what suspicious things go on. Find someplace else to store your goods.

I want to first say they are NOT a BBB accredited business. My ex husband had his RV stored at this facility. My ex husband recently passed away in January 17th and LJ was everything but empathetic and helpful. My father in law (next of kin) and I (mother of his heirs) went in to assess and access the trailer Jan25th and was met with a very confrontational and rude manager. He stated nothing could be removed nor could the trailer be removed from the site even though we had death certificate. My ex husband was paid up until march 9th. I called march 14th to get what other additional documentation he needed to remove the trailer or to see if there were other short term month to month options available seeing as I was going to sell assets to pay other bills. He didnt know. He then called back a day later stating what I had offered him of small estate affidavit and death certificate would be ok. He then calls approx 1.5 weeks later stating we were approaching the 30day mark and he was going to auction off the trailer. When I show up with my sister today to see what the options of short term space rental would be, his reply was 3 months "was the best" he could do. I declined and asked what I owed up until today march 26th. He said he was being "kind" and not charging late fees, but then couldn't explain why he charged me a full month's rent today, I was being charged a full month rent, which would have given me until April 9th, but told me that I would have to have it out today. My ex husband was paid until March 9th and a good business practice would have been to prorate the rent from march 9-25th if I was removing it today. When questioned again on the amount he was charging me, he said "that's just the way it is". Please don't do business here. He lacked empathy and took advantage of the situation to further complicate my life trying to work full time, care for two girls and take care of a deceased spouses estate.

They do not accept electronic payments and to avoid their late fees, I had my bank send them a check about 2 weeks before the due date each month. I forgot to stop my final payment for the month we were planning to move out - my bad. On our move out day, I went to the office to discuss our move out and to request a refund of the upcoming month that we would not be using. I was told that there were no rent refunds. I later discovered from my bank that they cashed my check AFTER that conversation and that they had already re-rented my units. We are Air Force retirees and long time Monument residents. You have other choices for storage rental in Monument. Stay away from Monument Storage.

Corky was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely wanted to help us get everything taken care of. He made the whole process quick, easy, and completely stress-free. What really stood out was his attitude. He was patient, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. We even shared some laughs while getting everything sorted out, which made an otherwise frustrating situation very enjoyable. Corky also looked so badass with the lock grinder too. It's rare to meet someone who is both highly professional and genuinely personable. Customer service like this is becoming harder to find, and Corky is a perfect example of how much one great employee can elevate an entire business. My father does a storage unit at a different location and has been having some complaints, but here, I have had no issues and now my father wants to come to My Storage at Jackson Creek. Because of him, we left feeling confident that we chose the right storage facility and that we're in good hands.
