So good! Staff was so friendly and attentive. Food was hot and fresh. I had the classic with scrambled eggs, country potatoes, and turkey bacon. I love that they offer turkey bacon here, because most places don't and if they do it's not very good. My meal was so tasty and such a huge portion I took half home. My boyfriend had the whole hog with hash browns and a pancake-he loves his food as well. Everything truly tasted homemade and fresh, I was pretty impressed. We live in Lake Stevens and would absolutely make the drive to Arlington to eat here again. read more

On the particular day I came, I had already eaten lunch but wanted to satisfy my sweet tooth so I ordered the cinammon roll and it's the size of a human head. There's lots of cinnamon-y goodness wrapped between bread and topped with a thick layer of cream cheese icing. My only complaint is that the edges of the roll are quite stale and I was only able to eat the inside. I'd definitely come back to try their entrees. read more

So glad I came here. I went to the Blue Bird Cafe across the street, and after my son and I ordered our food and waited about 15 minutes the waitress informed me they didn't have 2 of the 3 items we ordered. Not sure why they waited so long but I was annoyed, so we left and walked to the Stilly Diner. We were immediately greeted and seated. They took our orders, and the food came out quick! It was delicious. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere is fantastic. We will definitely be coming back. read more

I had breakfast here this morning with my favorite 16 year old and we agreed that the biscuits & gravy are most excellent. In fact, as far as the biscuits & gravy go, it's as good as the Maltby Cafe, if not better? The service was also very good, the place was packed but the everyone was still very friendly and our breakfast came out after a short wait. This morning we were ready to try a breakfast place we'd never been before. On beautiful days we love driving and sampling "Mom & Pop" restaurants and supporting local small businesses. Today we found this place (thanks to great reviews on Yelp) and WOW! Yum. Happy. Service was excellent, food was superb and we left happier than we have been in any restaurant in quite some time. I can't say enough great things about this perfect little diner. The owners have nailed the old-time diner experience and put out some really delicious food. There is a sign that says seat yourself but was not visible due to folks waiting at the front. We sat at the counter so no real wait, we had excellent service, it ran very well all the employees were polite and helpful. The atmosphere was very hometown cafe. The toast had REAL butter not the clarified butter! The food was seasoned well and I'm a bit of a potato snob but Matt's hash was EXCELLENT!! My husband had the #7. He said he'd never tasted a German sausage like that, he lived in Germany for about 5 years. It was good none the less and the portions were huge! It was very reasonably priced but parking was a challenge. We happened to go unbeknownst to us during Eagle Fest but had fun looking at all the wood carvings. Parking is challenging. read more

Well.... Stilly Diner, you've done it! You have found my family's weak spot- homemade, tasty, made to order, big, not to expensive food! Talk about a great meal. Breakfast foods- The chicken fried steak was juicy & tender. The California Benedict was really big with very nice hollandaise sauce. The massive hash brown breakfast w/ sausage gravy (oh it was good gravy!) was to die for, or you might explode if you eat it all it so big! The one thing I could say is the pancakes are just a pancake.... fluffy & nice but it's a pancake go for one of the amazing breakfasts instead. Lunch- the Swiss Dip is HUGE!!! The loaded potato soup was amazing too.... how do you do it??? I can't wait to go back but I fear I better go back with caution for fear of my jeans getting to tight. This diner is a breath of fresh air in Downtown Arlington. The Stilly Diner is a very clean and friendly place to re fuel. The service is quick and friendly and the food is fresh and prepared with passion. If you think of a family friendly place to go, the Stilly is perfect for you. A friend and neighbor or mine recommended Stilly to me after they ate there, knowing I had been craving the Maltby Diner cinnamon roll but there was no way my newborn was gonna make it there and back right now. I was really excited to go and we went early in the morning on a weekend. The waitstaff were very polite and super fast. I would give this place five starts but for two things: Their cinnamon roll and their hot chocolate. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my husband ordered the corned beef hash. Both were DELICIOUS and made in-house, not some cheap frozen or canned stuff. We were really blown away. Best chicken fried steak i've ever had. What bothered me was when I ordered hot cocoa, I watched her mix powder with water. When she brought it to me, it wasn't mixed all the way (there were clumps of mix in the water and on the rim of the cup. It was also lukewarm (as was my neighbors hot cocoa) and we both sent them back to the microwave to warm up. This bothered me because if you're going to take the time to make cinnamon rolls and biscuits and all the other goodies, at least mix your hot cocoa powder with MILK. At least make sure it's HOT. I figured nbd, let that slide, I'll take home a cinnamon roll! Oh dear:( I scraped off all the frosting which was my first red flag, the entire middle of the cinnamon roll was sunken in and they filled the huge depression with frosting. I should have stopped there but I really wanted that cinnamon roll you guys. REALLY WANTED THE CINNAMON ROLLLLL. So i warmed it up for a few minutes, pulled it out and cut a pic slice (that is how big this sucker was, I cut it like pie). The middle was soft, underdone and doughy. The outermost layer was very hard and tough to chew. It was a super huge letdown. I still ate it and ended up with a really awful stomachache. Overall I love the homemade items, but if they are going to take the time to make all that, put milk in your hot cocoa guys, roll your cinnamon rolls a little looser and proof them a little longer so they are cooked properly! Such a bummer! I gave them 3 stars because as long as you don't want a hot cocoa and a cinnamon roll, you're good to go! read more

Update 4/2017: so this is my go to place for breakfast. Have been coming here almost every week since it opened. By far they do the most business in town and seem to attract the most number of repeat customers for a diner. The food is predictable and good. They have hit the mark on my bacon for 5 months in a row and that's pretty good. I am sure they will goof sometime in the future, but for now they hit all 5 stars. I have tried all the breakfast places from Burlington to Marysville and this place is still the most consistently good. If the6 needed a partner to invest, they would get my money. Update 12/2016: So still been coming here every week for most part. After the last update the bacon seemed to improve. Possibly they read these reviews and work at improving. I am torn between 4 and 5 stars. This is the quintessential small town cafe. The staff are always friendly and the place is always packed. This is the type of place every small town wants to have for the locals to gather and eat. Update 10/15/2016: Have been going here every weekend for almost 1 year. Staff is still very friendly, restaurant is still clean, service is prompt, food taste good. The big thing that has caused me to change my review is the kitchen. Specifically I don't like burnt bacon and during the last month's I have gotten burnt bacon 4 times. I sent it back politely 4 times and 3 times received correctly cooked bacon. Yesterday I sent it back and received burnt bacon in return. The fact the waitress actually brought me burnt bacon after I sent it back is troubling. They were nice enough to take it off the ticket but I actually wanted bacon for breakfast. Don't think I am going to continue going here every weekend. Will look for a different regular stop. New place in town, been waiting for it to open the last month. Was not disappointed. Had French toast, bacon and eggs. French toast was cooked just right, bacon was medium done which is way I like it, scrambled eggs were more than the 2 on the order and they were not dry. Overall the breakfast was very good and the place is nice and clean. Wait staff was very nice and kept my coffee cup full. I plan to.make this my regular breakfast place in Arlington. read more

I've been to multiple restaurants in downtown Arlington and have never been impressed by any excluding the Denny's (and that's, well, Denny's). This food blew me away. Amazing tasting VERY generous portions, kind and attentive staff, and an updated decor make this a fantastic addition to Arlington. They also serve breakfast all day! The menu has a large variety of items and has a personal note from the owners in an "about". So, so charming. I wish I lived nearby this. I would go there every day! read more

Great customer service, well kept diner. We ordered California Eggs Benedict, Florentine Eggs Benedict, a single stack pancake, and a piece of blackberry pie a la mode. Our server arrived at our table to greet us with water and a kids cup in tow, really impressive! Everything was delicious, although the pancake was not anything special. We ordered the pancake for our daughter, and while the size was impressive, it tasted like a box mix. The pie was amazing, the crust was perfect. The eggs were perfectly poached. The potatoes and fruit cup were both excellent sides. Next time we are up in Arlington, we will eat here again. read more
