My friends and out decided to step out for a minute while out in Columbus, We first went to the After 5 Bar and nothing was cracking so we ventured off to this spot, it was a Thursday night and this place actually had a little crowd. Ordered Drinks and Hookah's, the men in Columbus were very friendly, Most men are not brave enough to walk over to a sections with 9 women and offer to buy a round of drinks. BRAVE MAN.... LOL I ended up ordering the appetizer which was decent bar food, and we had only 2 hookah's, they didn't have the really big hookahs with the Multi tubes so we had to continue to switch out the mouth pieces to pass it around. How annoying!!!! They actually have 2 sides to this club, on one side you can hear r&b mixtures like Beyoncé and Usher and on the other side you can listen to.....what is known as "TRAP Music" ( keys to the street ). Pricing was pretty good, Hookahs were $13 and they drinks weren't badly priced either, clean restrooms, Nice full bar and attentive services. So I have to be honest with this review. I have been to this establishment many times. I have also not been but one other time since the pandemic. This time, it was very different. I have to be honest i did have a good time. Our server was on point from start to finish. The hookah were very expensive, but they do use the Quicklite coals, and they do charge you an extra 3.89 for another coal, which is ridiculous. The drinks are very expensive compared to other places, $12-$14 for most mixed drinks in a 6oz glass. Now again, although I had a good time, this is the worst part. It was a damn weed and smoke fest. People are rolling up in the open while security is right there. Everyone doesn't smoke weed nor want to be around it , so they definitely need to fix that asap. Got rejected because I didn't have shoes. First time there, so I wouldn't know if there was or wasn't a dress code. Although, from talking to locals, they say there's never been a dress code. They've been in there multiple times without shoes on .. (you know, like slides and sandals and such). Very interesting .. just didn't get a good first impression. Poor Customer Service! I should have known not to expect much after all a man was murdered and bled out at the bar. I've returned for the pizza in and out and only been back for nightlife once to support a Friends birthday, but when I wasn't wanded and my bag not searched I was fearful the entire time there. I really disliked my whole experience. The outside of the restaurant and their website advertise an upbeat bar and grille but inside it's a deadbeat Italian restaurant. And a bad one at that. The service was terrible. Our waitress was young and barely talked to us. She took forever to fill my drink every time and the check took FOREVER. The food is awful. I ordered a "lite" shrimp pasta dish, it was a bowl of pasta with a very bland tomato sauce and the most overcooked shrimp I have ever eaten. I didn't even finished them they were so dry and rubbery. The dish was watery, flavorless, and all around awful. The salads also aren't fresh and my balsamic dressing was so runny and bland. My friend ordered a pepperoni pizza and they brought her a cheese pizza that looked nasty and the mozzarella sticks look like they came out of the freezer section. My biggest complaint is the prices. They charge like they are a high class restaurant which they are far from it. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

I typically go to this establishment on Sundays. The music is great with the live bands, but the dj music that follows is very "ratchet" which encourages less than desirable type of people. My biggest complaint is the waitresses and bar tenders. One Sunday I came, the three bar tenders took it upon themselves to charge 18% gratuity for every closing ticket. My friend ended up paying $36 in gratuity for four drinks. She informed the manager and he returned her money. When he pulled the registers, one bar tender had almost $500 in tips, the other, almost $400!! And the night had just started. The previous Sunday I returned, I had a very nice waitress. I ordered a sangria, and she tells me they don't have them, mind you I've ordered them every time I come. She checks, and tells me they have them. The drink was watered down, but decent. My friend ordered a pepperoni pizza which was full of oil. She had to take napkins to it in order to even eat it. Finally I checked my bank account two days later and the waitress took a double tip. This is the common issue I encounter and I advise people if they go here, use cash only, do not swipe your card in this establishment. read more

Stopped in on a Friday with some family members to hang out after my grandmother's birthday party concluded. It was Latin night, which brought out the best in most people in Columbus. I treated my cousins to some very well made lemon drops and we got a few other drinks, practiced a little merengue, and a little bachata. There was a gay couple dancing as well, which is fine and normal, except for the younger guy's jacket! He had one of the throwback, airbrushed jackets with someone's face and the "shiny" style lettering. It was pretty funny. They were pretty awesome at all of the Latin dances, however. Especially salsa. Overall a great place. When I used to go here five years ago it wasn't nearly this fun. Glad to see they got a new (see: actual) sign outside too! read more

Upon walking in, the place had an upscale feel. We were seated right away and realized that there were no other people in the restaurant. It was completely silent in the place, even the five or six TVs were muted and it was cold in there. I found myself wishing I had worn a coat. We ordered and the food came out extremely fast. Neither of us liked our food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good enough to clean our plates or get a to-go box. The server was friendly enough, but we won't be going back. It was all just so unimpressive. While the decorations are nice, the silence, cold temperature and mediocre food ensure there won't be repeat customers. read more

USED TO BE GOOD before New Years' 2014! I used to go every (or every other) Wednesday for about 2 months around the summer of 2013. When I first started going there, it was fresh faces, a decent selection of music with an in-house DJ, a mixed and pretty big crowd, and the drinks were decently priced. But too much of a good thing can turn into a bad thing. After about 2 weeks, it started becoming the same thing. The same faces, but the crowd got smaller by the week, the drinks were more and more watered down, the music was the exact same every week like it was on a playlist. I mean, come on! You have an in-house DJ! Why is the music still the same. And if I hear that Pitbull song one more time, I'm gonna scream! So I only started going sporadically throughout the year, and it was still the same. No new faces, same music. Then I made the mistake of deciding to order mozzarella sticks. They were $7-- one buck per stick that were approximately the size of a pinky finger. I waited 45 mins to an hour for them, and when they came out, they were burnt! And I'm talking Wesley Snipes black! Ever watch the movie Blade? Yeah, that guy. I decided to give them one more chance and went after the new year. The usual mixed drink I usually get jumped up to $9! This isn't Vegas, wtf! If they were good drinks maybe, but since they suck major butt cheeks, there's no way in hell I would go back! Not to mention that the owner floats around like a zombie and watches the crowd-- creepy. So just a warning to those are thinking bout wasting their money here, don't. read more

Oh how the mighty have fallen. I used to love this place, but its been plagued by ownership issues apparently. I asked a friend if this was the same as Mediterranean Cafe and they said sort of. I remembered how much I loved the blush tortellini. What I had tonight was at best average. Unfortunately, it was also really overpriced, which bumps the place from 3 to 2 stars. Bread was good though, not as great as it used to be, but still pretty darn good, but the marinara to dip it in was bland. My mom got the chicken alfredo and was not impressed. This was our first visit to The Suite. An uncrowded Tuesday evening. We were seated and promptly waited on. The Greek salads were fine but the rolls a bit hard. My wife had the ribeye which she thought was a bit grisley but acceptable. I had the shrimp diabllo which i enjoyed but if you do not care for spicy food do not try this dish. Save your money! We had a large party and everybody's food came out seperate and when you order food with sides, they come out seperately! I only had wings and fries and the fries came out 20 minutes after the wings! It seems that there is always an excuse (only one fryer, the pizza oven's broken, blah, blah, blah). You'd think that of 5 people ordered fries that they could all be cooked together but nope! If you want to wait an hour for you food in an uncrowded place then go here. My friend and I had a great experience at the Suite! I had been here once before later at night and thought it was just a club (the bar area has Jazz bands or a DJ certain nights of the week after 9:30). I came in this time and the restaurant is very clean and looks really nice. Our waitress, Stacy, was outstanding- she was helpful when we asked about the menu, kept our drinks refilled, brought our orders out promptly, and was very polite and friendly. The food was outstanding. Most of the meals come with bread and salad (which is freshly made). We shared the baked ziti because the portions are pretty big, and it was cooked well and delicious. We had enough to take home, so it was well worth the price (which was not unreasonable for Italian/Mediterranean food). I'll definitely be returning again! read more

One person arrived before 8:30pm & all others came in afterwards. As the rest of the group arrived, those who wanted water with their meal were told that after 8:30pm the restaurant only served bottled water & charged $2.00 per bottle. When we asked why? We were advised because on Jazz night people come & order a glass of water only & listen to the entertainment for free, without making a purchase. Our response was we are there for a party & all we're ordering food. This was a large group. The supposedly Manager came over stated no exceptions to the rule & THE OWNERS made that rule. Even though we were paying customers ordering a lot of food. No glass water would be brought out, only Bottled Water. Food wasn't the best last night. Not sure about the cook on duty, but wasn't great. We've been there in the past & have never experience such service. Spinach dip was bad, cold fries, some wings weren't the best & alcoholic drinks weren't correct. In other words the bartender need more lessons on mixing drinks. Furthermore, when a customer complaint about a drink. Don't take them away & return back to the table with them stating you can't take them back, nor replace them. We don't know whose drink belongs to who or what had been done to them & the guy had his fingers all around the rim of the glass. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. The bartender used my debit card twice that evening to pay for my items. The price that she told me sounded a little bit excessive compared to normal industry costs for what I ordered. When I asked her for an itemized bill she stated that "she did not have the ability to do so, and that she would have to call a manager in for that. "Due to it being a busy evening a me not having the time to wait for a manager, I paid the bill, tipping the bartender and left. After leaving I felt funny that I was overcharged for the items. On Sunday I decided to go back and further look into this issue. The waitress a few days later gave me an actual bill and there was a section labeled 'service' on it. I asked was the service amount for gratuity and she stated "yes it's 18%." Had I not received this bill I would have not known that gratuity was added. The Suite establishment has absolutely no signs in the establishment on the walls advising that 18% gratuity is added. So These bartenders/waitresses are getting 18% + additional gratuities because people are not aware that gratuity is charged into every purchase. The potential harm is that staff could be collecting +32% gratuities without the consumers conscious knowledge. Furthermore, the bill I received sunday had the service charge and still had an estimated tip guide at the bottom, which further concerns me. If there is gratuity added why would it be necessary to give guidance on customary tipping practices? They are engaging in poor practices and should be exposed. Complaint was filed with BBB and restaurant failed to respond! read more

The best restaurant in Columbus! We recently moved from Los Angeles and were disappointed that every restaurant is a chain. We had the margherita pizza and the Gyros, which came with a delicious salad of your choice and a side. We are looking forward to going back and trying more. We went here a couple of years ago, and it was fantastic. Now, I believe it is under new management, and they are going in a new direction...more towards a bar atmosphere. The food is basically bar food. "ROASTED" potatoes are just fried potato wedges. We ordered $9 beer pretzel cheese bites, and got a few pieces of fried mozarella. Our friends' ordered an appetizer (hummus) and it never came. We waited almost an hour and ended up leaving before our entrees even came out. Our waitress was sweet, and didn't act surprised at all. Me, my wife and friends were headed out to eat I suggested mikatas and of course everyone whined because we eat there a lot and said let's try something different. They spotted this bar and grill next door and it was 3 to one decision so I buckled and agreed to go. As soon as we arrived we were seated in the bar side (smoking side) the place was empty with maybe a few people drinking and dining in. As I looked around I saw potential in the place the layout of the furniture and it's open until 3am, I told my wife and friends we should get a good group and just come up here one Saturday it's not too crowded smoke wasn't overwhelming music was up to date and waitress was just right. I had no idea what I wanted due to the fact I wanted that damn soup and salad and teriyaki chicken I had my stomach set on. So my wife and I settled for pizza she got the grilled chicken spinach whatever and I got the pepperoni and sausage. It did take a while to get it which was fine because we were entertained with OKC and the Warriors basketball game and music with conversation. The pizza finally arrived and was epic I'm a picky eater but I tried my wife's grilled chicken pizza and it was great as well. Overall we will be back and give it a shot with a larger group due to the atmosphere and look also food. Only complaint food just a tad quicker and please get draft beer but other than that it's badass! read more

They only had one waitress on a Wedesday night for the entire restaurant including the bar. It was clear she had an attitude problem, plus she was just overworked as she had no help from the owners who were to busy hanging out in the front. I food was late, not to mention overpriced.
