I usually do not leave reviews, but I MUST for this place. I am new to Oceanside, and the first dentist of our choosing was horrible. I wanted to try a pediatric office in the hopes my experience would be better. I wish I never went there. Issues are below: *Filled out new patient paperwork when I scheduled the appointment, also emailed the last X-rays so that I could get the VERY DAY I requested from the previous dentist. *Upon arrival 15 minutes before my appointment, the front desk clerk (kind) could not find the paperwork. It took her 8-10 minutes to locate the documents. *After waiting for 35 min, I asked another front desk clerk how much longer will it be. She then replied she would find out and let me know. The rep never returned. I waited an additional 15 minutes before being called. *Doctor was not relatable with my children in making them feel comfortable. For young ones, the dentist's office is already a scary place. *The representative job is to collect your hard-earned money when asking questions about the procedure, cost, etc. The Rep then has an UN-professional attitude. I then politely asked for prior authorization. I was getting bad vibes from the whole situation. My concern is my child and ensuring they are not ripping us off. *LIED TO ME ABOUT MY BENEFITS. I WAS TOLD MY INSURANCE ONLY COVERS 70% when I called to verify they cover 80%. ****PLEASE KNOW YOUR BENEFITS BEFORE GOING IN AND OR PAYING ANYTHING! This place gave me Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory vibe. They are weird and highly unprofessional. It was so bad I could not sleep. I said there was no way I would allow that office to put my daughter under for a procedure. To seal the deal for me that I was making the right decision. I called and asked for a copy of my children's X-rays to be emailed- to me. It will take 7-10 business days because there is only one person in all three + buildings that can complete that job. You cannot even reach Oceanside, so please do not have an emergency. They can only email them to contact you back. WEIRD! The last place looks like angels compared to this place. They need to do some firing and rehire new staff. Only two individuals were kind throughout that entire building. Please find another place for your kids. UNPROFESSIONAL. CHECK YOUR BILL AND ASK FOR A PRIOR AUTHORIZATION BEFORE PAYING OUT OF POCKET. THEY WILL TRY TO DISCOURAGE THAT. At least, that was my experience. They probably did not even send it through. Melissa & Anna was the only professionals! They sent an email asking about my complaint and said that I would receive a call by the end of today. And I never received that call. read more

I've been bringing my daughters to the super dentist for a long time and I wouldn't take them any where else. They are very professional and know how to cater to children. My daughters actually enjoy coming here & that makes it so much easier for me as a mom to get them to their regular visits. Christina was very helpful and kind. She helped me find a floss that was needed for better hygiene at home since my daughter has a permanent retainer. read more

I used to love this place; my son looks forward to every visit. I had an insurance inquiry, I called numerous times and aasalways transferred to voicemail with no returned call. After many attempts I called the Oceanside location directly and the receptionist was extremely rude, I requested to speak to Sarah Williams to address my concerns and bring the terrible encounter to her attention. They always state that she is "busy" or in a "meeting." It has been over two months, and I am still waiting for Sarah's call back. This is unacceptable and not to mention unprofessional. It is a frustrating situation. Hopefully, Laura Flores actually calls, and I can change my review to a positive experience. If you are a customer who is expecting timely, attentive, and excellent service, I don't think this is the place. read more

My kids only come here for dental bc this place makes them happy to be here so they are not so scared anymore about dental treatments. I specifically love our appointments when the Gabby is nearby. she's the best!!! She's the RDA with expanded functions. She started from the bottom there and has worked her way to the top. Frauds!!!! I'm super torn writing this review. I've had my kids at the Oceanside office 3 times now for just a general cleaning. The wait isn't too long, could be shorter though. But, once we're back there, the x-rays, cleaning and exam are pretty darn quick. The hygienists and dentists are very nice and gentle. The problem I have is in the billing department. They are fraudulently billing my insurance. I just looked at my insurance claims and saw that they charged my ins for all 3 visits for preventative care (which is instruction on how to brush/floss...which I never received and didn't need) and fluoride (which I always decline). So, look at your ins claims to see exactly what they're being billed for. Super shady. Someone's being super dishonest in their billing department. :( read more

The Super Dentist confirmed our appointments via email and when we arrived, told us we didn't have confirmed appointments because we didn't confirm by responding to their text. A text we didn't receive and they couldn't confirm was sent. Someone didn't show so they allowed us to be seen. After the cleaning, the hygienist applied foam to our kids without asking consent or telling us what it was. Turns out it was fluoride, something I don't allow to be used on my kids. We won't be returning to the practice, they are unorganized and behind on research. read more

Have been coming here for two years for both my kids love this place. Both pediatrics dentistry and orthodontics.

Staff is always friendly. However if you are pulling your kid out of class early for an appointment here it isn't worth it. They overbook which causes everyone to wait a very long time. I've waited an avg of 45 min for every appointment. For example. As I'm writing this we are 25 min past our appt time. I get it if some patients are late and it causes delays but 45 min is excessive. I feel like if patients are held accountable for no shows or being late then so should the practice. The only reason I come back is because they are good with kids...but you can shop around for the same kid friendly atmosphere at a more time friendly practice. read more

I was sick for their appointment so I forgot to cancel until maybe two hours before we had to be there, and they were so kind and rescheduled us with no issue. The worst place. They don't even deserve one star. The first time I came here my daughter was injured while getting a filling. I decided to give them a second chance so I brought her back today. Before getting back i paid them my portion was $229.40 then after the procedure they charged me another $125. Stating that the insurance was not going to cover one of the feelings they had to redo because they screwed up on it. This place is a rip off. Also during the whole procedure the dentist actually came in for less than ten minutes everything was done by a The dental assistant. I definitely do not recommend this place they may look like a great place for children but they are definitely not. read more
