Multiple bill discrepancies, I was in the room with my kids and I know what they did or didn't do and they charged more than once for things that didn't get done. The first time it happened I didn't catch it because it was during Covid and the bill was mailed to me. And the next time when I told them to take it off they had the attitude "insurance covers most of it what's the problem?" Also communication is not great. My five children have been coming here for years and love this place! I have had no issues with them. They are always friendly and their service is fast. If there is a wait time, it is less than five minutes. They have always accommodated all my children to see them all at the same or close to each other. I was a patient here over 10 years ago and I'm living proof of their work results!!! My family Spent thousands and thousands of dollars here. Turns out I needed a palate expander when I was younger and they didn't even catch that. They should've known better. Now my treatment was a WASTE!! I'm 28 now so it's too late for the expander my palate bone already solidified. So no matter how many times I get my teeth straightened they will eventually move again because there was never enough tongue space in my mouth!! Surgery is my ONLY option now. These guys are the reason for that because we TRUSTED the WRONG people. GO ELSE WHERE!!! I have to get my lower permanent retainer out because my teeth moved with it!!! How ridiculous is that? My teeth moved because there wasn't enough space for my tongue and because of a tongue thrust. So regardless if I corrected my tongue thrust they would still move because there is NOT ENOUGH SPACE. I've been extremely upset about this whole situation because this a major surgery I need now (who wouldn't be) and recently had to come into contact with these guys again to get my lower permanent retainer removed. They said they would do the removal for free but wouldn't cover the temporary replacement retainer (that I need til I get surgery). HOW THOUGHTFUL of you guys to make me pay for a MISTAKE YOU GUYS SHOULD'VE CAUGHT. DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE FOR ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT! They might have to get surgery later on in life if you do!!!!!! *********Side note on how I've been treated about scheduling to get my permanent retainer out************ I told the manager and Elena how upset I was with the situation and how they won't even cover a 200$ retainer after all I've been through and all the money my family spent here (over 25,000). The manager blamed it on me saying they told us about the tongue thrust years ago. Yet they had NO CLUE I didn't have enough tongue space and won't own their mistake!! And when I tried to schedule my appointment with Elena she told me to please hold, then proceeded to hang up on me. I called back to schedule the appointment and she put in the appointment INCORRECTLY intentionally so I would have to wait even longer to get this retainer out. She also made me wait 25 mins to be scheduled for an appointment since I was upset w my treatment. Never knew it took so long to schedule an appointment . An appointment that they just called the day before to let me know it was done incorrectly. This has been a true nightmare for me so I'm sharing my experience to save someone else the heartache!! I wish I could get them no stars. I am a first time patient and I had a 10 AM appointment for my son. My appointment was set for 10 AM, and I arrived at 9:55 AM. Per their protocol, I text them the information they needed for check-in. I did not hear back, so I text again. 10 minutes after my appointment was scheduled, I finally went in and checked with the girl at the front door. She said I was checked in and I should've received a text message, but that they were running behind. I asked her how long it would be, and she could not give me an answer. I asked her would it be about 10 minutes, and she said no it's probably much longer than that. I told her to cancel my appointment and that I will find another dentist. It's very disappointing, but I am glad I found out right off the bat, and can look for a dentist that will honor their appointment times and have better customer service. read more

Made a same day appointment, for a cleaning, check up, and getting a release signed for orthodontics. Explained on the phone what I was looking for, and was reassured that it's going to be done. Came in no real issues on the front end besides having to wait 20 minutes for a scheduled appointment. Come in start with the x-rays, after several failed attempts I asked to stop, and to just complete the cleaning and release for the ortho. The cleaning was less than desirable to say the least, you can see several areas that needed attention. After the second attempt there was still some work to be done, but apparently it was good enough for them. Now the exam. The dentist comes in, calls out a cavity on a baby tooth that's about to fall out, but comments that it's not an issue for the brasses to be put on since the tooth is about to fall out and the wire will not touch it. Great. Time for the paperwork, the tech leaves comes back after 15 minutes to tell me that they can not provide the paperwork since there is a cavity. We call back the dentist, who then clears the tech to write the note. Tech goes back to the office manager and another 10-15 minutes later comes back with a note stating that it's "OK to remove the wire". For clarity, there is no wire installed. I point this out to the tech and she goes back to the office manager. Another 10-15 minutes we decide that it's time to leave as this is going nowhere. I later completed an automated review and was contacted by the regional supervisor, the charges made to my insurance were promised to be revered. Lesson learned. If you need a cleaning and clearance for your orthodontist go with whom they have a working relationship with. read more

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. It's like a drive through oil change place for your kids. Dr. Shuang had her headphones in the whole time during our visit. How rude is that!! Couldn't even bother to take your headphones out to deal with patients??? The billing sucks, they don't even verify your insurance before you go in and then you get billed for being out of network. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!! If you have read all others bad reviews ,they mostly related to billing, and yes, we also got billed for something they didn't do. We got billed higher than the agreement they told us at the front desk which from $200 out of pocket and INS cover the rest, and they kept on coming into the room where dentist were doing the procedures on my son. They kept on changing the price like 3 times while I was in the room with my little boy, and he was screaming and in pain,and end up at $500.But we got billed more later on which they agreed $500 flat and nothing else will be charge. At the end, we have to pay for couple hundred more, so total almost $800 out of pocket for cleaning (which cover by ins)covers few cavities and a crack in the edge front teeth (which not necessary) for a 3 yrs old boy. read more

Horrible experience. I received a million emails and call reminder for my children to fill out paperwork online so that our check in process would be fast. I filled out our paperwork including taking pictures of dental insurance ID plus drivers license. We arrived at our appointment 8 min late and called ahead to let them know. When we walked in it was SO packed we couldn't even get in the door. It took us a few minutes to speak with receptionist. The first thing she asked for was my insurance card and I told her i uploaded that already but handed it over. Then she said it would take 15-20 min to contact the insurance company so I asked what the point of me uploading it online was. She was a bit caught of guard and didn't answer my question directly. We stood around as there was no seating open with the amount of people waiting in the office. We have a 1 year old and a 4 year old so as many know their patience is almost non existent. We waited for almost 1 full hour! We complained twice and they kept saying we were going soon. People that checked in after us went in before us. At the 1 hour mark we decided enough was enough. My 1 year old had had 3 meltdowns and we were all over it. We asked one last time what was going on and one of the receptionists said she'd go back and check, she never returned 10 min later. Horrible bedside manners I have 3 children who all went to this super dentist. The cleanings are fast and easy, however they try to sell you everything. The reason I gave them only one star is because having a root canal done on my 6 year old, she was very anxious. They gave her nitrious oxide, did not offer anything else.. She cried during the procedure saying it hurts, she can feel it. They didn't stop until they were annoyed with her crying and stopped mid root canal, threw their tools down and said "you need to take her somewhere that can put her to sleep" So now my child has a hole in her molar that is killing her and is traumatized at the dentist so won't go get it fixed. The staff and doctors here are great, very friendly. They help make my kids feel safe and not so nervous for their check ups. Our first time there, we were schedule at 7:30am. When I schedule I gave them my ins, and as I got there I was informed my insurance wasn't checked and they need to confirm, but they had to wait for the insurance office to open so they could call. I didn't understand why they didn't just check online. But they weren't going to take us back until the insurance was checked. It was about 40 min later that we were seen and my kids were getting anxious, and wanted to leave. Anyways... then we waited some more because they had no Dr. & they had to wait to get a dr from a different office to come in. We left the office at about 9:30 It was ridiculous! If you're looking for a much faster, friendly, pediatric dentist I suggest Discovery Dentist in Carlsbad. We went in and out within 30 min for 2 kids. read more

I used this place as my children's dental as they were growing up. This place was great with the kids. They have tvs with any cartoon channel to watch and sunglasses so they don't get sprayed in the face. Everyone that works there is good with kids and very patient. I had to get my child sedated once for a procedure, they let me stay in the room with her. Thank you! I quietly sat on my tree stump, instead of a chair. I really have no complaints. Even the waiting room has coffee, tea service and cartoons and gaming for the kids. Good job Super Dentists. PS they have incentives (point system) for the kids to come in.
