I came in out of concern my child got hurt and wanted to make sure their teeth were ok. Waited over 40 minutes to even get a text to come in . In which I never recieved. I walked in with my child and they checked me in. Why bother having text if youre not going to use it. STRIKE 1. Secondly we get to the back. The dental assistant is sweet and makes my child feel comfortable. As shes taking xrays I over hear the DDS state to a man with his 1 year old that she needs " fillings and crowns but for now Fluoride treatment" she finally comes over to me and looks over my child's xrays states " fillings and crowns" my child only has 4 permanent teeth the rest are baby teeth. That are currently falling out! My child is 6. What gets my goat the most is my child had previously went to the dentist in a different city (a month before) and they stated that my child has the start of cavities but with more brushing and most of all flossing they should not get any bigger. Mind you NO holes or discoloring of my child's teeth. Finally as the teeth cleaning is done I was asked if I wanted to have Fluoride placed on my child's teeth. Strike 2! I'm sorry when did that not come with being apart of teeth cleaning. When it was done i walk up to the area to pay any copays eyc. A plan was set in place for my child that cost almost 2000 with insurance! STRIKE 3! This place is a scam and a hot mess. Find another Pediatric dentist ASAP! All about the money here! Get a second opinion before you let them do any work on your child's teeth. I wish I would have. We will never be back here again. I took my daughter in for a check up and they said they found a couple of cavities that they wanted to put crowns on. Made the appointment and when I brought her in they said they were going to place the crowns plus pull three other teeth. This was not mentioned in the previous appointment. In my opinion they do unnecessary treatments to charge insurance for. Yes it's a fancy place with tv's and video games all around but keep in mind someone has to pay for all that and it seems unfortunately our kids are paying for it by getting unnecessary procedures performed. read more

Beware! They will try to get you to pay for services that you do not use! We took our daughter here summer 2015 and paid for a teeth cleaning and exam only, no X-ray. The staff was accommodating and it was painless. Fast forward to today, 2-15-16, the staff told me that I had to pay the lump sum bill wether my child received X-rays or not. When I asked why, they told me that was policy. I then spoke with an office manager who told me twice how vital X-rays are for proper cleaning and pushed pretty hard for me to comply. I didn't, and miraculously I was charged just for the teeth cleaning and exam. Regardless if you have insurance or not, requesting that someone pay for services that were not done is ridiculous. Today in particular we had a visit from the superhero himself to assess my son for braces, he was extremely professional and very passionate about the children and very attentive to all of the questions that I had. Dr Yoo was awesome, my son had 4 extractions today and he was patient, friendly and funny. Came in for the first time today with my daughter and son. First time to the dentist and my son had to get two teeth extracted due to two adult teeth coming in behind his baby teeth. Wow just wow, so our appointment time was at 8am they told us to be their 15 minutes prior. So we arrived, at the time told us. They didn't open until 8, so that was 15 minutes wasted. We didn't get seen until until 845. They have TVs everywhere, which is good, however inappropriate shows were on. My 5 year old daughter was watching some crazy show on Cartoon Network. Not Scooby Doo or some classic decent show but weird show. How about some decent shows to start. Next we declined x-rays due to her old ones being only a year old. The lady said she had to get "Manager's approval" for that. So we had to sign a form declining X-rays, not a big issues but seems like BS. So we had to have a form signed for my daughter. So it just asks if she has any visual signs of decay. The dentists marked this box, then under put an asterisk and put that x-rays were not performed so she is unable to see internal decay... the form asks for visible decay nothing else... do not go here... read more

Horrible billing service! Months after my son's visit, we got a bill saying that we have to pay another fee when in fact we already finished paying everything that cost more than 564 something dollars. The day we went for my sons visit, they gave us that 564 dollar bill, made a payment plan, finished paying it in 5 to 6 months. I was happy it was done. Then after a month, we received another bill saying we have to pay another $146! We had to call our insurance, investigated everything, and came to conclusion to the reason for that second bill is because the stupid billing department of super dentist didn't process everything the day we came in for my sons visit, and that's why we got this stupid second bill. And to top it off, when we got the second bill, there was a note on the bill that says that they have been trying to reach us about this second bill for awhile and if we don't pay it, they will send it the collection agency! We'll dumb people on the stupid billing department, we never got any call and letter from you guys that we have another bill to pay! Horrible billing service! Another thing, we have to go for another visit because the filling that they put on my son's first visit broke! What kind of dentists you guys have?! The wait was 1 hour and 15 minutes with an appointment. I wasn't impressed by their "cleaning" of my child's teeth and the fact that the exam took less than 5 minutes after the wait. I rated super dentist just last year as a great dentist for kids well I take that back...my son who has autism (which is in his chart) was told not to eat or drink for an emergency procedure to look at a spacer that was infecting his gums. The Dr. was a general practitioner and not the regular dentist...she was not good at all. They had to strap him down because they would not give him something to relax him...I was told because of his physical size not his mental state. ..just dumb! They wrapped him he was screaming, crying, pleading, and fighting he was so scared. When they took out the spacer, they pulled out his whole molar that was cemented to the spacer...so now they ripped this tooth out with out any pain meds to help him. Unacceptable...never again!!!!! Just had our first appointment. My daughter enjoyed watching the movie in the waiting room and the free hot chocolate. The hygienist and the dentist were fast, but didn't seem like they were rushing. The staff is pretty friendly, however they book way too many appointments and can't get people in on time. They told me they try to tell people to expect visit to be 3 hours. Front office staff is a joke. Very unprofessional and mishandled the billing process. I was charged for Co-pay for annual check ups for my 2 sons when my insurance covers it 100%. Than was offered $150 for 2 tooth filling but they ended up billing me for an additional $165. They also billed be for topical application of fluoride varnish for one of my sons when he did not even receive that. Very bad customer service and staff. Never going back. read more

I loved this place until recently. They're good with my older daughter, but are a mess with my youngest. Long story short, they gave her (and charged me thousands for) completely unnecessary treatment. When she was 6, it looked as though she had a small tooth growing in behind her front tooth. They did X-rays and sent her to an oral surgeon to have it removed. Luckily, I realized that it wasn't a separate tooth at all. It was attached to her front tooth, it's called a talons cusp. I went back to the Super Dentist to let them know they almost had her entire front (permanent) tooth removed. They said they wanted to take another look so I allow them to. Of course a few people come to look because it's not something you see everyday. They didn't do anything it was more like a "oh wow" let me see type of visit. A couple weeks later, I get a bill for it! As if I'm the one who requested they look at her. As if they actually did something besides look in her mouth. They then say that the best course of action is to get a device put in to hold her bite up so that little cusp doesn't rub her bottom tooth. They told me her front tooth would not come in all the way without it. She was only 6 so I asked them if they could just shave the cusp down to spare her having to start orthodontic treatment so early and I was told no. They said it was too risky since they don't know where the nerve is and if they hit it, she'll need a root canal. So I go ahead and allow them to start phase 1. Fast forward a year. They take the device out and a week later, I notice that her lower tooth has been worn down in the middle due to that cusp. I bring her back in a little frustrated that they didn't anticipate that happening. You know what they tell me? They'll just shave the cusp down. Shave the cusp down? As in, what I requested a year ago before my 6 year old had to go through phase one? Before I had to pay thousands of dollars simply because they wouldn't shave the cusp down? Yep. That's exactly what they did. With no issues. When I brought this to their attention. You know, how I just paid for a completely unnecessary procedure, I'm told that I cannot get a refund because they delivered the services. Who cares if your kid actually needed it or not. She was 6. She cried about not being able to eat because of that device. I only allowed it because they told me her front tooth wouldn't grow in properly without it. I trusted them and they acted as though they new exactly what they were doing. Good times. Yeah, the waiting room is fun for the kids. Most of the staff is wonderful. But giving kids things they don't need? Not cool. They also tried to charge me for X-rays. My insurance covers two a year. I asked them why they were giving my kid more than that. Only after I questioned them did they waived the fee. They also suggested my oldest get some loose teeth extracted so they could move along her treatment. Of course I'd have to pay extra out of pocket for this. She had just turned 9 and had about 6 more baby teeth to lose. So pretty ahead of schedule as it was. 9 months later, she's still 9 years old and has lost all of her baby teeth on her own. The teeth they wanted to pull fell out on their own within a month. Once again, unnecessary treatment was suggested. It's not like she was 14 and her teeth just weren't falling out. Why put a 9 year old through 3 extractions when the teeth were already loose? If you have your kid at The Super Dentist, I'd watch them like a hawk to make sure they aren't overcharging you and putting your kid through procedures they don't need. read more

The first appt went fine. They told me what procedure they were going to do on my son when I brought him back. I thought they were specialists. I thought they could handle a frightened child. Instead they told me because my son is "big" (he is only 7 and, yes he is heavy), that they could not control him. They did not even try. They also changed what they were going to do. They said they were going to extract a tooth and then they said they didn't need to? They immediately gave up and said he would need to be put to sleep for the procedure, but they said his weight could be a problem so that he might not be able to be put to sleep, and they said this right in front of him. Like he literally only needs a filling and a silver crown on one tooth, and so why would he need to be put under? Anyways, they did not do any work and passed us on to the next dentist, and another referral, which will probably.cost even.more than them, and he would have to be hospitalized for the treatment and be put to sleep. Come on. This is dental work not major surgery. I only came here because I though they could handle a child who is scared. They did not even TRY. Dont bring your child here, they only further shamed him for his weight. They acted like he was disgusting and like something was wrong wrong with us. This review is for the office staff which I'm pretty sure they hire with absolute no experience and don't bother training them. They have no customer service skills at all, are rude, eat at their desk and talk to you with a mouth full of food, and look annoyed at their job. When you call the office directly they constantly put you on hold because they need help and have no clue what they are talking about. You can't make stuff up to get by at work and hope the person on the other end of the phone is gonna believe you. My kids love this place. Video games, cartoons, dress up clothes and TV screens on the ceiling. Dr. Azi is the best! She works so fast and does a great job calming nervous toddlers. She is so sweet that my kids absolutely adore her. In other dental offices I was told that my kids would have to go under to fix all the cavities at once. I wasn't comfortable with that. At Super Dentists I was given different options and it worked out great! Ok so this time I used there new online schedule appointment works awesome went online on a Friday night to schedule for 2 kids each with there own time for Monday morning. Monday came we got there early so I could fill out update paper . Took us back within 5 minutes I was still doing some paper work I was shocked they were awesome they took over the kids they did there x-rays in to separate rooms at the same time which helped on time . My daughter had 4 cavities and the dentist which I didn't like her she was not bubbly at all she was a little bit stern with my newly teen son meaning he just tuned 13 and still acts like a 10 year old that does not like to brush and it shows the doctor said to him you have to brush everyday ok he said ok then while she was still examing his teeth she said it again you have to brush and floss and use mouth wash everyday do you hear me he said yes then she said it again at the end of her exam and I was j thinking once was enough lady then the doctor left the room and we moved on with the cleanings and enjoyed the rest of the vistit. One more thing if your kid has any cavity and you would like to get that handled same visit it is possible as long as the child is on a empty tummy and even then they can only fix 2 cavities per day due to the max amount of sedation they can give a child per day. I do highly recommend the super dentist every time we go there is a different doctor and most are bubbly and very nice and the daily staff are very nice and patient and they also do have melody in the waiting area for any child to play games with or she will look up points for you and get the toys for points out of the locked case she is very handy I'm happy they added her. We won't be back!!! Initially we liked Super Dentists because of how "fun" it was for the kids between tvs and video games and prizes, the kids thought it was Disneyland or something. This week I had appts for my kids on two separate days, and on both days, all but one of the video game consoles were broken and the tvs were just playing non-stop super dentist movies?!! I mean really!? Just put a cartoon on for the kids!! All that marketing and shameless propaganda is lost on the kids anyway and just annoying to the parents! Also, none of my kids got prizes this time because they were all short on points so that was disappointing and caused a breakdown while we were leaving. Every trip prior resulted in a prize so they must have changed the way they calculate the points or something. Also they seemed understaffed and the lady working at the front was just plain rude. Insisting I fill out a health history form on a clipboard and carry it back to the dental assistant myself which is difficult to do while wrangling 2 children and I'm currently on crutches. She gave me a ton of attitude when I kindly asked if she could please take the form and hand it back instead. Besides all of that, they basically try to give my kids crowns on their baby teeth every single time we are in there. Yes my kids have cavities but do they really need a crown on every tooth because of it!?? I know this is partially an insurance thing or maybe it's just because 90% of their clientele seems to be medi-cal patients who are just happy to have somewhere to take their kids. But giving unnecessary treatments on little kids just so they can bill the state for more money is the lowest of the low. I will gladly pay cash some place else just to avoid them in the future! read more

I was very disappointed on my experience. The first practitioner that walked us back said they did not have any available rooms(then why did she take me back?) but then she got us in a room in the middle? And then she said that the X-ray was being used so she was going to clean her teeth. She then took my daughter to get the x-rays and she walked all confused as to where she was going to get her in. She finally put her in a room across and she took more than 25 min to the X-rays on my daughter and when my daughter came back she immediately started crying. And all the lady said was that she was having a hard time with the X-rays. She then called the dentist and when the dentist came in did not even greet me. They both did not apologize or symphatize for my daughter crying. The dentist just turns around and says she has 4 cavities in between her molars in the back. After that she just walks out of the room without saying good bye. Very unprofessional. After I arrived home I checked my daughters mouth and sure enough she has 3 red cuts from all the poking of the X-rays. I will not be going back after this unfortunate situation. read more

I should have checked Yelp! My son was a new client referred by a family member because of the fun atmosphere. First impressions- cute place aside from the kids climbing on the decor where your toddler sits and nobody telling the parents or kids to be mindful that it's not a jungle gym. The front staff was very unprofessional. One girl was eating a bag of chips, licking her fingers and keying away. I arrived as a new patient and they had not pulled my insurance information so I waited 30 minutes while they pulled the Statement of Benefits. I received the claim a week later to finds out I was charged for Fluoride. I agreed to allow fluoride on my 2 y.o.and should have reviewed my benefit information as it's only covered one time. However Super Dentist could have also told me my insurance would not cover it and provided a statement of work and estimated fees but they did not. Thanks Super Dentist for leaving yet another bad experience with Dentist! read more
