Really good prices and really good service. Hit or miss rolls. Surprisingly, it's their simpler rolls that were memorable and something I'd go back for. I ordered the Godzilla, Playboy, and spicy salmon roll to go. Their service was pretty quick and super friendly and accommodating. Presentation was great. The rolls were different, they were cut SUPER thin so there were definitely more bites, but idk how I feel about the thinness. And of the three rolls, I only loved the spicy salmon roll. The others were just OK, I honestly probably wouldn't order again. Their menu has a huge variety and their restaurant space is clean and inviting. In the Draper area so I Yelp'd and found The Sushi, which looked good enough to try. I sat at the sushi bar and ordered a small hot sake and a large Sapporo. Decent menu with their special being BOGO 50% off (buy one, get one). Rolls don't interest me that much so I went with the Sashimi Mix, which is 16 pieces of fish for $22.90, and it includes soup or salad and rice. Good assortment of sashimi, including tuna, albacore, salmon, yellowtail, octopus, oilfish (white tuna), & talipia (the chewiest of the bunch). The fish was good. The miso soup, not so much. I hate to share this but I feel I have an obligation to let people know. Went to pick up my take out order and happened to see someone in the kitchen scraping sesame seeds off a entree with a spoon and hen tapping the spoon on the side of a garbage can and them putting the spoon back in the food over and over. Was horrified to realize that was meant for me because we let them know to omit sesame seeds as my son has an allergy. Not only was there a negligence on attempting to serve us food contaminated with an allergen, the total disregard for their customers in repeatedly putting a spoon in a garbage can and back in food they would then serve us is appalling. Needless to say we let them know we no longer wanted our order and that we were very grossed out. read more

The taste of the food is fairly good but the temperature is bad. All my food came cold. The miso soup was cold, the noodles under the teriyaki came cold and even the gyozas were cold. I asked the server to warm up the soup but it was still lukewarm. On my way out, I saw a guy bringing his food back to the counter saying," too cold." So I believe it's not just me. There were only 2-3 tables before my party but I still waited 20mins for the lunch special.. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and the sushi rolls tasted fresh though. read more

Not sure if the Sushi was bad or their sauce was bad, but I sent back the Sushi. They took back the full plate of Sushi and offered to have me pay 50% off. How does that work? I taste your dish and explain it doesn't taste right, you take it away and do me a favor of having to still pay 50%? Finally the "owner" understood the logic behind having a customer pay for a dish they couldn't eat and took it off the ticket, for that I thank them. The chicken teriyaki was good. I give two stars for poor service and poor Sushi. Hopefully it was just an off night. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is good. It is too bad the experience wasn't better. My wife and I have been pretty excited to try this place out, since we live so close by. Tonight, we went there for dinner. The decor is really nice! We were surprised, given the location - we just assumed it would be more strip mall-ish, but nope - it was very nice. Our waiter was super attentive, and really nice. We ordered the Spicy Tuna sashimi, as well as three of their spicy rolls (1 normal, 2 specialty). They were all pretty good, but not one of them was what I'd consider to be "spicy"...so I'm hoping they might work on that a little. The sashimi was amazing, though! It was spiced really well, and the presentation was great. I was super happy with that. Future goals: I hope they add hamachi sashimi to the menu. We were one of the first 100 customers, so they also gave us a $10 card to come back and eat with them again - and we will! read more

Great customer service! Lately, I've been going through a deep personal struggle. I also hadn't seen my closest friend in a while, so we met at here to catch up & so she could help me through this hard time. We got there at 5:15 PM and stayed until close - nearly 4 hours! The waitress we had completely enhanced our experience. I felt guilty staying for so long, but she spoke to us some, getting to know us, and even gave us our dessert for free. She didn't know it, but her kindness brought some light into my dark night, so I cannot wait to go back soon. read more

We were excited to try The Sushi because we love sushi and this was less than 5 minutes from our house. We love all types of sushi, but it as to be done right and taste good. Sadly, this place was not good!!! The sushi rolls were just plain. Even the deep fried rolls(Las Vegas) were chewy not crisp. We went with friends and ordered 6 different rolls, and none of them were good. The Even the Chicken teriyaki was dry, over cooked and tasteless. The service was very good, and that is why I am giving it a 2*. Our server was nice and prompt with any requests. Sadly, we won't be going back and I would not recommend it to friends. Amazing sushi, always fresh and you get actual Japanese plates, chopsticks and soy sauce kettles. Their ramen is amazing as are their bento boxes. They have all of the Japanese drinks and their daily deals cannot be beat. Their oven baked mussels are incredible especially since we are in Utah and the service is always kind and friendly. Service was really good, the wait was a long one but the made up for it with free edamame that was really good. I was disappointed that they didn't have a great selection of cooked sushi. The presentation was a little over the top as they delivered the sushi on a huge wooden boat that took up a lot of space on the table. My husband ordered the Mt Fuji roll. He said that he liked it. He wasn't ecstatic about it, but said it was good. I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen. It was okay, but not the best I've had. Wow! Maybe the best experience in Utah for me my wife and child so far. Yes it's in a small area, but the inside is spacious and beautiful. The sushi is absolutely amazing, the table service was the best I have seen and they had the game on as well. I wanted to since it's close to me and the reviews were ok... our server didn't know anything about the menu/rolls ... we had to ask for extra wasabi three times... but the worst part was the mayo/sour cream topping on our rolls! I really wanted to love this place. The servers were super nice and attentive, the decor was lovely, but the food still needs work. The fish is really fresh which is a huge plus. But where I had an issue is there is way too much mayo and creamy sauces on the roles to really be able to taste anything other than mayo which was really disappointing. So sometimes you can't help but stereotype. Bad! Strip mall Sushi in a Harmon's parking lot seemed low on my radar. Drove by it almost every day. Finally stopped in tonight. WHAT A GEM!!! Seriously a beautiful restaurant with excellent service and some of the freshest Sushi in the valley. They have some wonderfully delicious novelty rolls as well. For example an Eggplant Roll with spicy tuna! This is one of those gems you need to discover and we will all have to hope it gets supported by our community! read more
