Wow! This was the best culinary experience I've had in years. We are visiting from Ohio, but will be back every time we're in town.

The Table Bistro is incredibly cozy, situated on the bottom story of a small apartment complex and run by a Korean couple who split the duties of cooking and servicing customers. The meals are well priced ($10-20 range for most items), and the staff was so friendly. Don't pay attention to the folks who give them low stars because their hours are weird-- their hours are on Google, Yelp, etc., so it's not the The Table Bistro's fault that these folks showed up when they were closed. I only gave a 4 instead of 5 stars because my chicken pesto pasta (pictured) was a little flavorless, which is disappointing for a pesto based dish. But my Girlfriend's Salmon dish was amazing so I'm giving the kitchen the benefit of the doubt that my dish was an exception. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

This is truly a hidden gem which we found by serendipity. It has some odd hours and was open on Friday for dinner only from 5pm-6:30pm. The food and service were excellent! It's a two person operation; husband is the chef and wife the server! Clean and simple ambience. I may grab some lunch before I leave Athens tomorrow!

I was intrigued because the average rating is so high. So I decided to try this place out tonight. It was kind of hard to find. It's on the side of a building between buildings that looks like an apartment complex. But the interior looks much more like a nice cafe than a restaurant. I got the Crab stuffed Blackened Salmon and I loved it. It is a little spicy, so definitely stay away if you can't handle a bit of heat. It had a rice pilaf, a rich creamy sauce, and a medley of many vegetables on top that I couldn't tell you what they were (because they were all piled on top of each other). I think there was plantains on top (slightly sweet) and plaintain chips. Veggies that I recognized was some kind of charred pepper, tomatoes, and microgreens/herbs. I think it was a pretty decent portion size. The salmon and crab were hidden under a lot, but they were obviously the star of the show taste-wise. We also got the special soup and the squash casserole. These were mediocre and I wouldn't recommend it. The soup was a green-ish color and was sweet. It kind of tasted like butternut squash soup but it didn't look like it. The squash casserole had an array of veggies, but the squash itself was quite bland and overdone. Not that much flavor so I would say you can skip this. When we came in, it was really quiet and only one other table was there. The decor is cute and the fresh flowers are a nice touch. If you like some heat and seafood, you can't go wrong with the Crab stuffed blackened salmon.

This place is such a gourmet gem! The food is beautifully presented and you can tell they take time in preparing each one of their dishes. The service is also great! The server was sweet, accommodating and attentive. Overall A+

I was hesitant to post this review because I want to keep this nice little bistro a secret! The Crab Stuffed Blackened Salmon was exactly what I was expecting. Very flavorful. Met a friend for lunch on a rainy day. The service was great, the prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious. This place gets 5 stars from me.

Is there an outdoor eating area and if so can I bring my dog?

There are a few outside tables. I'm sure if those are available you could sit out there with your dog. But also it's super hot and I'm not sure if they are in the shade. The concrete might be too hot for your pup. I would go it alone first to scope…

We were seated immediately at a bar next to the front porch with a view of milledge. We both ordered mocktails, a fresh lemonade and cherry lime spritz, both were delicious and although we don't drink I can bet my bottom dollar their cocktails are crafted and amazing. We started with corn fritters, raw oysters and seasonal peach salad. The only thing I didn't like was the chili in the peach salad, I heard another table request it without so I guess that's an option but I believe in tasting it how it's served. For entrees we did the fresh pasta dish and the fish. Both were creative and divine. The filling for the pasta was silky and the touch of nutmeg or cinnamon in the sauce made it next level. The fish was perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the coconut sauce. For dessert we chose a cherry cheesecake and peanut butter chocolate cake with grape jelly ice cream. I'm not sure if they have a pastry chef but it's been some time since I've had a dessert crafted with so much love. The quality latte we drank with them was the cherry on top. We've already invited our friends for dinner next month. 10/10 reccomend

Nestled in a gorgeous building that was once a residential house, the restaurant has a gorgeous and cozy ambience that makes you feel like you're visiting with friends from the moment you enter. The menu changes with the seasons, and I've never been less than impressed with the often-inventive dishes. I highly recommend starting with their cast iron cornbread. It sounds simple, but it's truly elevated. Right now, the sweet potato brown butter pierogies are absolutely mouth-watering, and the hazelnut bread pudding is rich and a perfect blend of sweetness and cream. The waitstaff is top notch and you'll receive better, more attentive service here than at restaurants with much larger price tags in Atlanta. They also have an impressive cocktail program and wine list. On the "it's the little things" list, the candles 5 & 10 uses in the restroom are outstanding! They sell them and they're spendy, but worth it.

A chaotic period, and when my brother and/or I were in town to help out with these exhausting and time-consuming tasks, finding quick, reasonably priced, somewhat healthy, and hopefully tasty food was challenging indeed. I unfortunately didn't discover Maepole until 2025, but it nicely ticked off those boxes. Maepole is basically a "fast casual," Southern-inflected "bowl" place, with a much heavier emphasis on the nutritious and fresh than is typical of traditional Southern cooking. You start with a base, just like at Chipotle or Cava--greens, sweet potatoes, or quinoa, etc.--and top with veggies or salads, and, if you prefer a protein, you can add chicken, pork, or tofu. Or you can just go full-on veggie plate. Top with a flavorful sauce; my favorites were the spicy avocado and lemon herb. My general impression of the food quality was that it wasn't quite at the five-star level some of the time--veggies weren't always cooked to perfection, for instance--but the general experience and value, as well as the bold flavors, argue for bumping this rating up to five stars. Plus, every time I think about Maepole, I sure wish my current city had an option like it.

I was 3rd in line and pleasantly surprised + pleased. Think Chipotle meets Chopt (the salad bar ). Fresh ingredients. LOTS of mix and match options OR preset menu items. And just as many drink options, including locally made kombucha. I ordered the winter salad and low country plates. With the exception of the turmeric ginger dressing (a little too zesty for me) and the hoppin John salad (hoppin John OR salad ... not both ) EVERYTHING was delicious. I enjoyed the salad way more than I thought I would. The spicy avocado dressing is YUMMY! The greens were cooked to perfection - another shocker. The edamame crunch, tofu and crunchies were just as delicious. I will visit the Atlanta location just to try the fritters! A wonderfully healthy and scrumptious delight !
