So we went here based on the photo of the tacos. We have both spent time in Mexico and we're super excited to see authentic tacos!!! The carnitas was amazing. Moist, flavorful and homemade. The spice on the pollo (chicken) was tasty and not spicy at all. They left it up to the customer to add all the heat they want from the bar fixings. The chorizo was nicely flavored without being overly hot as well. The toppings for your tacos were all under the sun, when it comes to the regional variety offered in Mexico. What an amazing place!! Stopped on way from Darlington to Winston-Salem and what a surprise! The inside is adorable and the outdoor space was perfect! Waiter was kind courteous and very helpful with what to order. The food was outstanding I had the taco Barria that was best taco I've ever had which is saying a lot from a Southern California resident. Also the guacamole was homemade and delicious. Sorry but this was terrible. Everything that we ordered was incorrect and did not taste good. Milk was expired. (Over a month expired). Asked for flour tortillas for our kiddos, got corn. Asked for a margarita on the rocks and specifically asked if it was frozen- I was assured it was on the rocks- came out frozen and tasted old. All of the food was just not good. We stopped here on our way from Ohio, traveling to Ocean Isle NC. This place was great! We sat out on the deck and felt comfortably social distanced. The food was fresh and fast. The refried beans were fresh and the rice was fluffy and tender. The taco salads were just the right size for a single serving, not too big, not too small. The tacos were a little runny, but taste was on point. The chorizo burrito was amazing. Inside, you can witness them making the food to order. The restrooms were clean also. Wow. What a find. Traveling through from SC to Greensboro and we found this spot. This is a fantastic and legit Mexican restaurant. We ordered a range of soft corn tacos to go and they packaged everything up well with 5 different types of salsa and roasted vegetables on the side along with a jalapeño, fresh cilantro, and radish-- traditional style. The flavors were complex and full of interesting spice. Service was prompt and friendly. Do yourself a favor and drive off the interstate and check this place out. We were on our way to the beach and needed lunch.Our son and his wife wanted to stop at Taco Factory just coming in to Rockingham.We both had our dog with us and eating inside was out.We got there first so I walked in and got a menu.The very nice young lady at the counter told me we could sit on the patio which was covered with our dogs,but it was bumping 90 degrees so my wife told me what she wanted and I always listen.(hehe!!) First time I have gone to a real Mexican joint that you ordered at the counter.We both chose a chicken burrito.As the cook was making our burrito's the young lady at the counter told me to help myself to what I thought was a salad bar.But it was a fixing's bar for ever what dish you might order.You also fix your own drink.The fixings bar had every thing but melted cheese sauce.She handed me a Togo box to put tortillas in and cups for your choice of salsa.Pretty cool.When our burritos came which did not take long,I added shredded lettuce,Tomatoes,Radishes,fresh diced salsa to our plates.Also on our plates came a grilled jalapeño cut in half and grilled onions. I got both of the grilled jalapeños as my wife was not going to attempt hers.They sorta lit me up,but it did not last long.We both thought our meal was great.The chicken was tinder and ever what their sauce in the burrito was very good.My son had tacos and he really liked what he go to.I wished we had had more time but I know we will go through Rockingham NC again.This will be something to look forward to.Also you made your own drink.They do take plastic,and cash worked to.Also beer was on the menu.My son said it was the old Huddle House building.It was good. read more

First you order from one of about six menu items then choose your favorite meat filling. Lastly they have a fresh bar with various salsas, pico, and other fresh veggies to really pile on as much as you'd like. This place seemed very clean and was a hit with my family. Driving down Highway 74 my wife and I were looking for a quick place to stop and grab lunch, but didn't want fast food. She found Taco Factory on yelp! and plugged it into Waze. While not right off the exit, the drive to the place is only a couple of minutes, so not too far off the highway. It's a order at the counter place - you pick your type of meal and meat, then goto a salsa and toppings bar that includes Chips to grab and sour cream at no additional fee! A hot salsa has a good kick to it, and the Creamy Avocado sauce is good to go! My wife got a Cheese Quesadilla with chips and queso dip. I ordered 2 tacos - one Chicken and one Ground Beef. Her Quesadilla was overstuffed with cheese - maybe a little too much - and the cheese was very salty! It wasn't bad, and we kept eating it, but it could have been better. The queso dip was awesome though - very tasty and smooth. My ground beef taco was great - tasty, lots of meat and a good size. The chicken taco was also full of meat, but it was not very good - a little dry and the flavor was just not that tasty, I'd stick to the beef and try the pork, or maybe even the Cow Tongue taco to be adventurous! The next time we are driving back from Fayetteville we will certainly stop here for lunch though, it sure beats the frozen burgers and french fries! read more

I've been a customer since the first week this business opened. However, recently every visit there is an issue. The food is normally decent but the service is incredibly sub par and makes it unenjoyable to even order takeout much less eat in. Tonight, my tacos had sooo much grease they were barely edible. Then, I was told it's extra for cheese on my taco which is a hstrange, who eats tacos with no cheese? But the biggest issue I had was that they tried to charge for a small side of sour cream. When Taco Factory opened, they had a toppings bar. They have since taken that away, which was disappointing but whatever. However, to charge for a little bit of sour cream for my $14 tacos? Are you kidding? Then she looked at me like I was crazy when I told her I've never, once in many years paid a dime for sour cream there. She said I must be talking about flour tacos which I'm not. I've never ordered those because I don't eat them. I said what I meant which is corn. She still refused to offer to put sour cream on my tacos or give me a side of it. When I'm already paying $2.75 per taco, having to pay extra for cheese and extra for sour cream is ridiculous. Also, they usually include cooked onions and jalapeño on the side of every order of tacos. Tonight, i asked that they please leave the jalapeño off and just give me the cooked onions and the lady acted completely confused, then once again said i must be getting it confused with flour. Once again- I know what I'm talking about and no it's not flour! So i didn't get that either. I have probably been a customer there longer than some of the employees have worked there. They sure don't appreciate their customers and won't have many if they continue this treatment. read more

I have been here three times now and have not been disappointed! I am vegan and my boyfriend is vegetarian, and there are plenty of options to choose from. Today I got the burrito bowl with "veggie 2" filling, which was potatoes and poblano. The toppings bar was fully stocked and clean, and the creamy avocado salsa is amazing. You can then sit down & wait for your number to be called or watch them make your base dish. Once you get your base dish, the toppings bar is next. Now, the toppings bar is my favorite part. I know how I like my food, so I can make it just right. There are so many fresh veggies & sauces. I absolutely loved how fresh the pick was! There were so many varieties of salsa, all homemade. But I have to be absolutely honest, I was happy without adding any of the salsas because the flavors of all the ingredients were tasty all by itself. They also have a display of all the desserts they have to tempt you. They really look delish. They also offer a variety of Mexican sodas & beer. They have a children's menu, which is really affordable. Oh! The prices for the adult menu is under $7. You cannot beat that for a filling meal.
