We've heard so many things about the taco stand and finally live close to one! We came on a sunday evening and it was steady. We got out order taken and found a spot easily. The store was a but hectic lots of going on and alot of people ordering doordash! We got the baja tacos and i loved them! the tortillas are homemade and the fish was crispy fried perfectly. The al pastor is ok, not the best i've had probably wouldnt get again. The carne asada fries are actually amazing, the fries were still super crispy and sauce was evenly distributed loved that. We also got to try the surf n turf fries and they were SO GOOD. It is a bit on the heavier side, so I would order this to share with my family! I move heard so many good things from everyone in LA so I had to drive to try it. The ceiling was dripping for some reason. Carne asada fries were okay. Anytime we are in the area this is our go to place. This place is very authentic with its decor, music and food. My favorite is their al pastor tacos, but you can't go wrong with anything you get. First time at The Taco Stand and we are so glad we found it during our night out at the Orange Circle. This place had a line out the door on a Thursday night and now I know why! Ernesto was the cashier for the evening and his friendly vibe was a great start to our meal. He made sure to let us know that it will be at least a 20 minute wait since the kitchen was so busy for this evening. The Taco Stand is the best Mexican food in Orange. No, really. Always packed, and the food takes a while to get but that's because it's all being made fresh. The chicken might be the best pollo asada I've ever had, the handmade corn tortillas are perfect, and the grilled fish utterly destroys any other fish menu item I've ever tasted. It's that good. Carne asada is outstanding as well. Just so good. And the salsas are all super great. I haven't had the pork but it's apparently super great! Oh and the guacamole is 5 star stuff and the churros are made fresh. A couple tips: - Seating in here is hit or miss due to how full it always is. The room is smaller, and the seats are close but in spite of this it usually works out just fine. - Order online if you're in a hurry. The food can take a bit of time to make. I've waited 20 minutes for my food before - grilled fish seems to be the biggest one you've got to wait for. But it's worth it. - There's usually a line out the door. Should have written this review sooner but I forgot. I didn't realize The Taco Stand was a chain with mulitiple locations. This one located in Orange requires that you park in a parking structure and walk over if you can't find street parking. The parking structure is free. Honestly, the service was eh. There was an issue with my order as I ended up overpaying because something was added to my order, but they fixed it. As for the food it was pretty good! I think the chips and guac come in a really big size and the burritos are average. My tacos were pretty tasty but I felt it was missing something. There are condiments and additional items to add to your food if you decide to do so. Seating here can become scarce as the tables aren't equipped to fit in large groups. I won't be returning to this location, but probably a different one. read more
