Came here and honestly was really impressed. We started off with the papaya salad and it was so good. Super fresh, really flavorful, and only $10 which is kind of crazy for how good it was. Next we got the pad see ew with tofu. It was decent. Not bad at all, just nothing super special, but still solid and enjoyable. But the real standout was the crab omelet fried rice. Oh my god. 10 out of 10. That dish alone makes me want to come back. It was only $17 too, which is insane considering there's actual crab in it. You could taste that smoky wok char, everything was cooked perfectly, and it tasted super fresh. Easily the best thing we ordered. 3.5 stars - Good food, good service, good small parking lot which was only 1/2 full on Friday for 12pm lunch. Loved lunch special menu. Ordered mine w/ shrimp and it was $2 extra but you only get like 4 shrimp. Wonder if you get chicken you get more than 5 or maybe 6 pieces. Only down side was NO A/C indoors so it was hoootttttttt today so even worse inside and they charge 50 cents for to go containers which I had never encountered before. I know absolutely nothing about the sport, but one of them got so excited about a goal that she passionately explained the game to me. The restaurant is takeout only -- which was fine, because I planned to eat in my car. The food came out fast, the portion was generous, and the shrimp fried rice was solid. What stuck with me wasn't the food. It was the way something simple -- asking for an extra chili sauce packet -- turned into a whole situation. I asked for one packet and it already felt like I was pushing it. I asked for a second -- because of the size of the portion -- and the woman froze, like I had crossed some invisible line. Had I been white, I doubt it would've even been a question. Two packets would've been handed over without hesitation. And if I had been sharing the meal? One packet wouldn't have been enough for two people -- barely enough for one. They smiled and told me to enjoy my meal, but by then, the moment had already happened. Eating in my car wasn't the issue. Trying to eat with a flimsy, tiny fork that couldn't even hold the food was. For the kind of portions they serve, better utensils aren't optional -- they're basic. Wanted to try a new local Thai joint with my dad and this place did not disappoint. We have high expectations when it comes to asian food and love our hole in the wall places, and this has to be a new one for the list. I was able to make a reservation for Wednesday night which was nice as the restaurant was only like five tables and surprisingly got busy for a late mid week dinner. We shared the pad see ew, pad Thai, yellow curry and Thai tea and Thai iced coffee. We genuinely enjoyed everything. The drinks had the perfect flavor and were super creamy. The pad see ew was by far my favorite. The sweet noodles with the beef and veggies were perfectly cooked and I'm so glad I had leftovers. The yellow curry was my second favorite, we got it with chicken and rice. The only thing is I wish we had bowls for it as the curry is incredibly thin and it's hard to eat off a plate. The pad Thai was beautiful and had great flavor. We got the combination of seafood and meats, it was good and had tons of flavor. The food came out relatively quick and it was all so fresh. The flavors were spot on. The waitress was super sweet and packaged up our leftovers for the both of us. She gave us our time and didn't rush us out, we actually had to ask for the check because she really just wanted to let us enjoy our meal. Found this place on Yelp and now I'm a fan. Met my friend here and it was our first time. Delicious and authentic food. Great service and attentive staff. It's a little place that is large on flavor. We both enjoyed the food that we ordered. From starting with the Crispy Cream Cheese wonton, to the Drunken Noodle and Pineapple Fried Rice the presentation and portions. (At least the one thing I had lol) I got the drunken noodle which was amazing and so authentic. They asked me over the phone if I wanted mild or medium and I said SPICY and BOYYY - it was spicy! I love spicy so I didn't mind and if you know authentic Thai food you know that when you say extra spicy they don't play around and throw is a bunch of Thai chili. Honestly next time I will get medium but I definitely did not mind the extra spicy I still devoured it. If you're not into spice I suggest saying no spice or mild. This place has become our go to whenever we're craving Thai food. The service is always good and quick. Prices are decent, pretty much on par with other places and you get a good portion size. The food tastes fresh and never greasy. My only suggestion is to add more protein because sometimes there's so much rice and very little protein that comes with the meal. read more

Both the drunken noodles and khao soi noodles were ordered in medium spice but were not crazy spicy. The khao soi noodles were the best part! The soup was perfectly balanced with spice and curry. A mom & pop shop that my local friend eats at on a monthly, and it really shows because it is a true authentic Thai family that immigrated to LA in the early 1990s and opened this restaurant and had it for years. A washroom literally in the back of the venue, that is a storage closet and non-fluent english speakers, and on top of that the yelling in kitchen. This is exactly what a true authentic mom & pop shop is like, and this is the food culture is missing. Anyways, I have to talk about the food here, because it is extremely delicious and it shows that these are the places that should support by locals. Thai Ice Tea: 8/10 Perfectly blood orange, and it was the style of Thai Ice Tea I wanted. My camera is coming it off as just pure orange and I don't know why, but it was a more of a dark reddish orange and it was good. Papaya Salad: 7/10 I thought this was a very cute take of a thai version of a papaya salad. I think this was just ok in my book, but what makes these salads are how long the papaya was soaked for in the family style fish sauce. And the papaya was extremely delicious. Their family style fish sauce was extremely delicious too. Red Thai Seafood Curry: 10/10 This was a peak for me. I love the flavours of this red thai curry. The seafood was plentiful, and the curry mixed with the sticky rice was just delicious. It was a perfect portion. I had at least 4 portions sharing it with a friend. Green Thai Chicken Curry: 7/10 I wished we didn't order a chicken curry, maybe we should have tried another meat, but the green curry was delicious, was it was lacking a type of flavour and I don't know what it is. Maybe next time I should order another type of meat. Mango Sticky Rice: 9/10 We ordered a dessert before we left as the waitress was asking about our opinions about their food, and I told them what I liked and what I didn't like. They actually talked with us a little bit about our experience and their food. And tbh, their mango sticky rice was exactly what I like about a family style mango sticky rice. Amazing Thai place you can't miss!! After having visited Thailand, I wanted to revisit Thai spots in the LA area. Service: 5/5 the lady working was SO nice. You get a free thai tea if you leave a Yelp review. They want to see the review before you leave but give you the tea at the beginning so it's not like you NEED to write a good review to get it. There's only a few seating options inside (around 5 tables) but when we went on saturday afternoon around 3, it was empty (probably bc they close at 3:30). Ambience: very homey!! which I love - sometimes LA can get a little bougie so I like supporting businesses like these which seem family run and very home feeling Food: They have some nice lunch specials and all day specials. The food options seem like Thai fusion. One of the BEST things about this place is that they have Khao Soi which is an authentic Northern Thailand dish popular in areas like Chiang Mai, Thailand. Kha Soi - 11/10 a MUST try!! tasted so authentic like what we had in Thailand.
