Best Khao Soi I've had in the states. They also have many other dishes that are very good to great. Nice outdoor setting. I have to give them 4 stars because of service. While the server was very friendly they were understaffed and service is slooow. I tend to like to eat fast and finish my meals quickly, so that is partly a me problem, but my brother also feels the same way. I only gave this place 3 stars because the service sucked. I had to ask for everything and the server took forever bringing it even tho there were only 3 tables occupied. If I have to wait forever on a slow day, I'm scared of what it's like on a busy day. It's a cool little restaurant tho with open indoor-outdoor type seating. The food was delicious. Food was good overall, however, the beef that comes with the pub Thai was almost impossible to chew and very grizzly. Once I set that aside, it made everything more delicious last of a drain on my jaw. The mango sticky rice was done well, and the angel chicken Was interesting and fun. Perfectly crispy, and mostly flavorful. I could've used a little bit more " salty" flavor, but having it with the sauce plus a little of the red hot sauce helped immensely. We were wandering around our neighborhood and came across Siamese Garden on Washington Boulevard. Since it's in such a touristy area, I didn't have high expectations, but honestly, I was really pleasantly surprised. The service was super attentive and kind, and the food was really good. The chicken satay was juicy, the peanut sauce was spot on, and pickled chili condiments were great (don't forget to ask for them). The spicy beef salad had a nice grilled flavor. Not too spicy thought. One downside: they don't have a full liquor license, so it's just beer and wine. I tried their Thai cocktail, and as expected, it was overly sweet and tasted like a premixed drink. I actually ended up running to get a little bottle of Bacardi from the corner store, added it to the drink with some lime, and then it finally worked. So yeah, I'd stick with beer there. But honestly, the food and service totally make up for it. I'll definitely go back if I'm walking by. read more

My friend brought me here for lunch and it was surprisingly quiet! The restaurant has so much outdoor seating! We got the Tom Yum soup with a side of tofu and shrimp, Pad Thai (vegan way), and 2 Thai Iced Teas, mine was with 1/2 the sweetness. I was shocked at "1/2" sweetness, I couldn't imagine what the full sweetness would taste like!! Next time, I may ask for 1/4th! But I know it is meant to be sweet. I normally don't love Pad Thai but I LOVED theirs. It wasn't as tangy as other places I've tried and that's why I loved it so much. We got it with the soft tofu and it was so delicious. The Tom Yum was delicious! We mean to get the Tom Kha but not mad we got the latter instead - we had it with a side of fried tofu and side of shrimp and jasmine rice. The server was very friendly and attentive. We sat on the street side so sometimes it was harder to get his attention (rightfully so). Our dishes came out extremely quick! Food - tried a few noodle dishes (pad see ew, pad thai), as well as some curry and the cashew stir fry. Everything was delicious! No complaints at all on the quality of the food, especially loved the curry. Service - no major complaints, but service definitely was a bit slow despite not being there at a very busy time of day. Just go here , and if you're with someone when you're there, try the banana desert. Highly recommend all of the curry's especially the pumpkin one with tofu. As a local in Venice Beach, I've walked by this Thai restaurant like 500x and kept meaning to pop in. I finally did, and it was Delicious! It does NOT disappoint. Ordered the green beans with tofu and brown rice. It was perfectly made and not overly salted. Our waitress was a sweetheart and funny to boot. I really had a wonderful meal here with friends. Enjoyed the gorgeous view of the Venice Canals this time of Year, when all the baby ducks are being born and waddling around. So darn cute! It's the ONLY restaurant that sits directly ON the Venice canals. Such a warm ambience, no frills, just great food, rustic views and that beach vibe, baby. From here it's like a 1.5 block walk to the beach. So you can have it all in one day. Or just stroll through the canals in the evening and smell the night-blooming jasmines. The Siamese Garden is nice cool little spot right of the Venice Canal. It has nice outdoor seating with heat lamps and a decent view. It did take little time for our server to get to us but the food did come out of the kitchen pretty fast. The Egg Rolls were really cooked great had a nice crunch and the sauce that came with it made it even better. The Filet Mignon was also really good might have been a tad over cooked was really hard to get off the skewer but it had great flavors. The Golden Curry was good but were it failed is it was to sweet. It missing a bit of the savory ness. Also I liked it spicy and it had a pepper on the side and it wasn't spicy at all. This place reminds you of a decent Thai restaurant you would find traveling in a random foreign country. We had the Pad Thai and fried rice. The food is decent but a bit too greasy and not quite perfect in terms of flavor -- there are way better Thai restaurants in LA. Everything is just okay here though, so in a pinch, it'll do. The service is prompt and the dining room is conveniently right next to the Venice canals so good for a post walk meal if you happen to be strolling around here. I ordered chicken pho and a Thai tea to go. My order was ready within 10-12mins of me calling! The tea was standard, can't go wrong with Thai tea! The container that the broth and chicken was in is NOT functional for to go orders. You'll have to empty out a ton of the broth to put the noodles in the container. I didn't know this and so much of it came out upon adding my noodles. The broth wasn't super flavorful but it hit the spot. I'll definitely add some sriracha to it next time!
