Chicken steamed dumplings with peanut sauce
    Ria R.

I love this place. Admittedly, this is not the absolute best Thai fusion place I've had, but they are incredibly consistent, never too crowded, and quick and friendly service. This place feels like home because of how small it is. There are still several tables, indoor and outdoor, but usually only one hostess/server/busser that you see there. She's great:) Food is fresh, light and flavorful. My favorite is the bbq pork fried rice. Also, I like to the potstickers, served on the most interesting lightly sweet peanut sauce. Delightful. Decent Thai tea too! While sitting to enjoy my rare lunch away from work, I noticed a lot of takeout customers flowing through. At the risk of exposing one of the least crowded, good Thai food places I know...if you haven't tried it...Go, now!

    KHAO SOI
    Frances R.

*This review is for take out* I ordered the Khao Soi and I am actually pretty impressed. Despite their thousands of raving reviews, I was hesitant to order from them since I'm can be particular about noodles. I really appreciated the way they packaged their delivery, separating the noodles from the broth. The Khao Soi is super flavorful - exactly how I like it. The egg noodles were super chewy and the pickled lettuce hit just right. I highly recommend. I can't wait to try their other dishes!

    PAD WOON SEN

Today was my first time here, and overall I love the cozy ambiance. It feels like a very homey place that is small but not cramped. The pad woon sen was incredible. It's not a dish I usually order because I generally don't like glass noodles that much, but someone else at my table ordered it and it was by far the best dish we had. The flavor was well balanced between salty and umami, with the scallions and tomatoes mixing very well with the flavor of the noodles. Definitely the star of the show. The garlic wings were pretty good. The texture was phenomenal, perfectly crispy while the meat was still tender. Taste-wise I found the wings to be a bit too salty, and the sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking. I would have liked it better with some more garlic flavor. The weakest dish was the drunken noodles. I got the drunken noodles with shrimp, but the noodles either weren't fresh or they were a bit overcooked because they were a bit soggy. The shrimps were great, well seasoned and well cooked. The overall flavor of the dish was one-dimensional, where you can taste the salt, but it wasn't very umami and the flavor of the aromatics like the onions didn't really make it into the noodles. I would have liked it better if the noodles were less soggy and if the dish had some (more) white pepper. Service was good, but my rating is just for the food.

    Mango Sticky Rice
    Lora B.

Stopped in for lunch and tried the Tom Kha ramen with extra shrimp and finished off with the mango sticky rice. There was indoor and outdoor seating, I took a seat inside. There was background music playing and a calm atmosphere. The waitress was really kind and attentive. The wait was not long, and the food came out steaming hot and fresh. The ramen was super flavorful and the shrimp was plenty. I was able to add more spice on the side since I asked for mild, which wasn't really spicy, just a nice kick. The mango was fresh and I love when the rice is served warm. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try some more dishes.

Amazing food! I love how authentic the food tastes. I got the khao soi and the soup was so flavorful and noodles are yummy. Papaya salad pretty good as well. There are seats for dine ins

They were actually kind of hiding this B rating, up in the corner of a window not near the walkway or entrance of the restaurant

Uncomfortable and cold seating arrangements. Just strange inside. I purchased food for my family of three. We often eat Thai food from different establishments and enjoy. This one was cheaper and you could tell. The quality of the food left our stomach's feeling heavy, it was extremely greasy, had less flavor then most places, and the noodles were so chewy that I was actually starting to choke on them. I would tell someone that this is more like Thai fast food, then legitimate Thai food that you would expect at a sitdown restaurant. Was more like mall food court quality.. They also were hiding their berating from the city away from their entrance in the top corner of a window!

I had low expectations coming in as I usually go to Thai town for Thai food. However, I was pleasantly surprised and will be coming back soon! I met up with a friend here and parked residential. The street signs say you cannot park there without a permit, for more than 30 minutes, so you might have to have a quick lunch and then leave, if coming here! I ordered the duck noodle soup as I love duck noodle soup! This is one of the few places I've seen that have this dish! It was delicious but I wished for more veggies in the soup! Overall, will be back! Service was also fast and efficient!

I have been dying to try this place since moving to LA 3 years ago and I finally got to experience it. Pros: cool decor inside and out, in and outdoor seating, food was bomb, flavorful, and comforting and came out fast! Cons: no public restroom, tough parking, difficult to spot from street, customer service could use some work in terms of being friendly and maybe coming by 1-2 times to ask if we were ok outside of taking our order and giving us the check. Overall, I'd order from here again but probably to go instead of dining in.

Ambiance: it's a tiny and cozy Thai restaurant, with limited seating inside and outside, good for small groups or takeout orders Service: super friendly and patient with questions, attentively served water and food Food & Drink: classic menu for Thai noodles, curry and rice dishes KHAO SOI - **** Northern thai style egg noodle in light curry soup, shallots, pickled cabbage, lime and topped with crispy egg noodle, choice of pork and Thai spicy level, very flavorful broth, sweet and spicy, both crispy and chewy noodles, recommend DRUNKEN NOODLE (PAD KEE MOW) - *** Flat rice noodles stir fried with spicy brown sauce, basil, white onions, bell pepper, garlic, thai chill, tomatoes, choice of chicken and regular spicy level, light average taste Thai Tea - *** average taste Price: moderate portions and reasonable prices, expect $25 per person

This place is my go too when I'm in town or in my area!!! We always go here for pick up, take out and have a meal in their place. It's small but don't let that fool you. Our go to food is the pad see ew , Panang curry, yellow curry and not to forget the Tom kha noddles!!! Yeah the Tom kha noddles with shrimp but you can substitute for any kind or meat you like!! it's one of the many favorite here!!! The taste is something I love to my liking!!! This place is small and clean , but just right for the locals to dine in but most of the locals like me do take out most of the time; because we trust the quantity and quality. The server is super nice and helpful when you eat in! Parking might be hard at night but during the day it's very easy to find. So plan on those extra min to park so this way you plan ahead. Do I recommend this place ..... it's a YES TO ME! So if your ever in this place of the area and craving so good price, quantity and great taste than come by this place and give them a try. !!! All the best !

First Venice Noodles is a little Chinse/Thai place that has some of the best food in town. It is not huge, but it is always clean and fun. We usually have it delivered. They are fast or we do pick up. They will even deliver to your hotel. The prices are reasonable and if there is anything wrong with your delivery order they will make it right, straight away and be very nice about it. Just once, and we order a lot, there was an issue with raisins in the rice. We ordered it without. Believe it or not my dog loves their rice, no one else', just Venice Noodles so we get her an order. Raisins can and will kill a dog. The order had raisins and they fixed it all up so fast. They were so nice about it. Now we order from there a lot, so often that I don't recall how many times and this is the only time we had an issue. Ever other order we place is perfect, hot and delicious. They have some of the best noodle dishes. Any will be great for you. We also love their dumplings and their Venice Chicken Slice. You will not find this elsewhere. It is marinated chicken fried in a tortilla, slices and served with a great sauce. Their Thai Pork jerky is a must try. It is deep fried pork strips with the best chili on it and again, a great sauce. Whatever you get you will love.

If you like spicy Thai food, this is your place. We had the Thai Ramen, Shrimp Pad Thai, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Steamed Dumplings. Everything we had was fresh and flavorful. The service is quick and friendly. It's a small location but it's clean and has plenty of street parking. One thing to note is that they do not have public restrooms.

    Mary C.

Venice Noodles has great Thai food. Some of it is not what I have had at other places. Our favorite it the Pork jerky. It is served with a nice sauce. All of the food is great. I often eat right there but you can pick or have delivery. The service is nice and fast. The place is clean and well maintained. It is just the bomb.

Probably made the legit kombu & bonita flake method. #1 ordered the Miso carbonara: garlicky carbonara served with their signature house-rolled out udon. Wonderful dish. Portion sizes were adequate. #2 ordered the Uni carbonara: same garlicky carbonara with uni bits strewn about. Estimating one whole uni broken. This actually works for ease of eating. Plus, uni ranges in the $18/oz on the low end to $60 or more/oz on the higher end. Yes we love & appreciate their gonads. Udon noodles were chewy, bouncy & worth the wait. The ceilings are pretty high and there is a decent amount of seating. Half of the tables were probably taken around this time and there were a few TVs on playing a live FIFA World Cup game which people were watching. I decided to order the 3 of us: 1. Kalguksu, 17, bibim nengmyun, and 25. Beef bulgogi. Everything was out pretty quickly and everything was delicious. The beef bulgogi was good but nothing too special. Sweet and savory with plenty of onions and served on a hot plate. My dad has been to Korea more than a dozen times and says that this bulgogi isn't close to as good as he's had, but that the noodles were very good. He says this bulgogi could be more Smokey, with a grilled flavor. I've probably had better bulgogi around as well so probably wouldn't come just for it, but it was nice to have a dish with rice in addition to the 2 noodle dishes. The kalguksu was my favorite. Very savory and the broth was so good. The other 2 dishes came with little bowls of extra broth as well. Inside the kalguksu was 3 dumplings (yum), some well seasoned ground meat (yum), and very good al dente noodles (yum). The spicy cold noodles were also good. I typically prefer the cold noodles that come in the slushy broth but my boyfriend prefers this spicy one! It had fresh veggies, a slice of Korean pear, an egg, and a lot of delicious sauce that ended up not being too spicy. The red kimchi was more spicy than the noodles! Overall good food and good service, fast and efficient, no nonsense. Would come again for the noodle dishes which were around $18.

You order at the counter before finding a table, which made everything feel efficient and relaxed. We ordered the pork belly bun, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, pan-fried pork buns, beef noodle soup, and Hakka mochi. The MVP of the meal was undoubtedly the Taiwanese popcorn chicken. It was honestly better than many versions I've had in Taiwan, and I've had plenty. The chicken was crispy and crunchy without being greasy, and the meat stayed juicy rather than drying out. If you come here, order this. The pork belly bun was my personal favorite. The braised pork belly practically melted in my mouth, and everything was seasoned beautifully. Simple, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. The pan-fried pork buns were the only disappointment. The filling felt underseasoned, and the bottoms lacked the crispy crust I was hoping for. They were fine, but not something I would order again. The beef noodle soup was solid. The broth was excellent, with a depth of flavor and spice profile that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the beef shank was overcooked and a bit too dry (乾) for my liking. For dessert, we had the Hakka mochi. It was served warm, pleasantly chewy, and not overly sweet. It was a nice way to end the meal and made me curious to try some of their other desserts next time. This was overall a fantastic meal. Not every dish was perfect, but the highlights were memorable enough that I'll gladly return. The popcorn chicken alone is worth the visit.

We shared the dan dan noodles, the 3 cup Jidori chicken, pan-fried pork buns, and cucumber salad. I also got the soy milk, which I believe is made in-house. The food came pretty quickly and arrived before our drinks, in fact. The cucumber salad was fresh, and the cucumbers had a nice crunch. I liked the flavor of the chicken, but I thought it a bit on the dry side. The dan dan noodles and pork buns were excellent, however. The noodles were flavorful and had an enjoyable chew. The pork buns were tasty as well and filled with juicy meat. I also really liked the soy milk. It wasn't too sweet, and it had a nice thickness. The staff was friendly. The restaurant is a casual spot with a self-serve water station.
