Our absolute favorite. We eat here all the time, and have been for years. The food is fantastic and the delivery is fast. My favorite is Pad Thai, my husbands is Pad See Ew. I also always get the sticky rice and mango. We order enough that we qualify for free eggrolls. In a time where everything is so expensive, especially food, getting those free egg rolls is a real treat (and it helps that they taste good too!) I was so excited to try this local Thai spot for take out but was left really disappointed as they got my takeout order completely wrong :( I ordered a pad see ew with chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and a Thai tea. The Thai tea was good, but I paid $31 for entrees that were inaccurate. My pad see ew came with beef instead of chicken and the sweet and sour chicken was completely different than advertised. Their website photo in their ordering platform clearly shows it to be fried chicken with some vegetables and sauce, it came as a few pieces of grilled chicken and was completely different than advertised and not what I ordered or expected based on their pictures. While the food was okay, I was really disappointed as there's no way to know it was wrong until we were already home and unable to get the correct order or a refund for the wrong food. read more

Ekkamai is located in an old Taco Bell with lots of free parking in the back and on the streets. You can dine indoors or out and they also have pick up and delivery. The place is cute, comfortable and always clean. We have eaten here many times and love it. The service if fast and friendly whether you are eating there or calling in for pick up. They know the menu well and can guide you. They are all just really nice. The food is not 5 star, but it is a solid 4. They have great dumplings and rice. We love their fried rice and all of their noodle dishes. They have a great curry. Many item can be made with chicken, pork or shrimp. They really make great noodle dishes and one of those is a must try. All of their rice, be it fried rice or white rice is great. The prices are fair. You will enjoy this place very much. read more

Came to have some Thai as a quick early dinner before class. Couldn't decide on what and ended up here because I was craving noodles. It was a great idea thaw food here was delicious. Really good flavors and the spice was just right. It was a bit empty with only us and a couple dining in but quickly we realized they are popular for take out. Evidence that the food here is top notch . About 15 take outs happened during our 40 minute dining. I had the pineapple fried ice, pad see ew and also and eggplant dish. All were extremely delicious and I had a bit leftover for next day lunch. The servings are family style so you get to share different dishes. Found this little restaurant after being in Venice for a family photoshoot. We were all hungry & thanks to Yelp this was high on the list. Gave it a try. Service was friendly & inside is small & intimate atmosphere. Kind of like small cafe vibes with a nice street view. Items we ordered: Golden Wontons: good, but nothing fantastic. flavor was there but I have had better. Panang Curry: I wasn't a fan at first, but got better with each bite. I think I should of said mild spice level, as I ordered medium. Beef Krapao: Not good at all !!! Sorry but this is sad in comparison what we ate at in Thailand at PhedMark. Did not taste like Kreapao at all. My husband ordered this & I couldn't tell which spices were used, but seemed more peppery than your typical thai chili. It was a weird spice. The squid on the squid salad was freshly cooked - salad overall was a bit sour & salty but healthy nonetheless. The BBQ pork was also very delicious - would be better to eat with with brown rice and/or mixed greens. I took some food to-go so that my parents can also try them out. It doesn't matter if you have an appointment or not at Costco to get your tires fixed at one point in time you're gonna need your tires fixed and it's gonna take like four hours... I recently realized that my tires needed to be replaced and the reason for the replacement was because I have an electric car. When you do an oil change they switch your tires, but I don't do oil changes anymore so I wore my tires out not thinking I got it now I'm not gonna do that again but that's why it happened so because I'm at Costco waiting for my tires and I can't go inside of Costco. Otherwise I'll walk out spending a couple thousand dollars. It's ridiculous. There's a lot of good stuff in Costco so I walked down the street and decided to get a beer instead and this is where I ended up. Good service and clean. Would return for sure. read more

We went here after a meeting. We ordered the fried crab rice, barbecue chicken, egg rolls, and wontons. The chicken did not have flavor and was tough/dry. I drive by Ekkamai Thai restaurant and had always wanted to try it but never had the chance unfortunately...until this weekend when I had a big craving for Thai food. A friend and I arrived after noon on a Sunday. When you walk in, the restaurant is cozy with seating that can fit multiple groups of people. We were greeted by the staff and were able to pick where we may want to sit. It was a beautiful day so we took the opportunity to enjoy the air Everything we ordered came out in a good time, it was fresh and tasted delicious. I ordered the garlic and pepper chicken and the omelette over rice. Each dish was super flavorful. The portions are a great size as well and I had to take food home. Since this restaurant is located on Venice blvd, there's plenty of street parking. Even better though, the restaurant has its own parking lot for seating. Absolutely delicious Thai food, fantastic service, and cozy ambiance. We had the Tom Yum soup, Pad Ekkamai, Drunken Noodle, and Red Curry -- all of which were delicious. The noodles were fresh, and all the dishes were so flavorful. This has become our favorite Thai restaurant! Spice level was appropriate as designated (and not Thai spice levels). Mild was not spicy at all, and medium had a nice kick without being intolerable. Prices are very good and they have a $3 saphoro beer for dine in. You can get a "small" soup portion that's enough for two. Delicious rice, bbq pork is to die for, drunken noodles are the bomb, thai ice tea, hot and cold sake. They have an extensive menu of seafood options, meat, vegetarian and vegan, side dishes, drinks. Overall, food was solid. Although it's a little on the sweet side, it was still really authentic. The portion sizes were great for the price paid. The ambiance is simple yet pleasing. It's an old Taco Bell that was converted, so seating is limited. Service was extremely fast, but maybe because we came at a later time than normal. Parking is also limited but there's street parking. Super casual small Thai place that used to be an old-school Taco Bell. The ambiance is super simple, no frills, yet the food is solid. We had the papaya salad, drunken noodles, and panang curry. Everything was flavorful. Watch the spice level though! We had "medium" spice for the papaya salad and panang curry, and that was just enough. We had "spicy" for the drunken noodles, and while I love spicy foods and have a high tolerance level, even I was sweating and it was almost too spicy. I wanted noodles and decided to go for something I haven't had before - pad Ekkamai. It's their signature noodle dish with turmeric. Ooh such a great choice, it was so bomb! It had a nice burn from the pepper as I'd chosen medium heat. Also got a Thai tea which was over sweetened basic drink, nothing special. Just moved to the neighborhood not far from Ekkamai... Tried the Thai Ice Coffee there... it a lot!! The Pad Thai is so good!!! The parking lot is available, so it's convenience! This is a smaller main course portion but comes with rice, one crispy curry wonton and small salad. I chose Level 2 for the spicy level ( 1-5, 5 being the spiciest) . I truly loved this dish!!! My friend ordered the Pad Thai, from the regular menu and she loved it. She said this Pad Thai was one of the best. Service is generally very fast. This place can get quite busy between in-store diners and pick up orders though. Interior of the restaurant is small and there seems to be a dedicated table for to-go-order prep. Food is consistently mouthwateringly delicious. I couldn't be more disgusted with the manager's attitude toward customer service. He complimented the server for her poor behavior. She was very inattentive and showed little care for my family's needs. When the food arrived, she printed the check without offering to refill our water or check in on us. Her demeanor was rude throughout our visit. When she poured water into a cup in front of my infant, he grabbed it, but instead of helping us get napkins, she continued to serve her other tables and never returned to assist us. I recorded the manager saying that the server was supposed to prioritize her other tables, which I found incredibly rude. He dismissed my concern when I mentioned that we had been without water for a while, saying we had only been waiting for six minutes. It is absurd for a manager to show such a lack of concern. The server never asked if we wanted dessert, and the experience was terrible. I did not feel welcome, and the manager was among the coldest people I have ever encountered. The food is just ok seriously. The Tom Kha soup is overpowered with Lemongrass its not good. The spicy fried rice was 5/10. I didn't complain about anything just will not return. Especially after talking to the manager about the young lady behavior I am still in disbelief. I never asked for anything to be free; that doesn't even make sense. Nothing occurred that justified free food. I simply wanted to be treated fairly.
