Wow, hidden gem! Extremely delicious food, very well priced and every customer I talked to had been coming in for decades. So happy I found this. If you are in Culver's looking for delicious food hit Emerald Thai up.

Very good food and the service was great! They were super nice and you could tell they were happy for us to be there.

It was cold and raining and we were walking back to our car to get dinner elsewhere, we stumbled upon Emerald Thai Cuisine and I am SO happy that we did! It's cozy inside and our waiter was so kind and friendly. We ordered the pad see ew, yellow chicken curry, orange chicken and mango sticky rice. ALL we delicious and came out quickly. I especially loved my Thai iced tea. My husband got the Thai iced coffee and I'll be back for some on my sleepy days when I need an extra boost of energy! I really liked this spot, and I will definitely be bringing my family back again and again. Also! Upon getting home and looking over the receipt, we saw that we were accidentally overcharged and they were able to quickly refund us which was really nice. I appreciate that level of customer service.

My family has been coming here since I was in a stroller. My mom is Thai and since it's walking distance my mom would stop by for lunch/dinner and bring my sibling and I in the stroller to eat. Now 20 something years later my family and I still come here. Our absolute favorite is Khao Man Gai and Rad Na or Lad Na. I no longer live in town but whenever I come into town I stop by at least 2-3. Don't forget to get Thai Iced Tea. The only downside is that ever since the city put in the bike path, they took away the parking but you can still find parking close by. In n out is across the street to the right so just keep that in mind. Other than that all the food is amazing and the service is excellent as well. You won't be disappointed.

This is supposed to be Mongolian Beef Entree. Bell pepper over powers all flavor. Meet is very chewy and not tender. No Mongolian flavor.

Ordered 5 menu items and was very disappointed in half of my meal. My spicy beef salad was very sweet. No lettuce added at all. My Mongolian beef was very chewy. No Mongolian flavor. EXCESSIVE bell pepper flavor. The garlic rice with steamed chicken had NO garlic flavor, chicken was VERY bland. They mixed in burnt pieces of garlic which caused it to be very bitter. Tom Yum soup was good but it was extra for mixed seafood and only came with 1 shrimp. I did not enjoy my food at all. Very disappointed

Love it! Very competitively priced entrees at around $13.00 and the menu was pretty big. The front is very unassuming and I've probably walked by it one hundred times without ever visiting (but thinking I should at a later date). I finally decided to shun the In n Out next door and give it a try and I wasn't disappointed. I got the pad see ew with pork and it was stellar. Next time, the mango sticky rice!

For snacks, we shared: Thai Chicken Katsu - it was nicely breaded and not overly fried with a refreshing side salad Crispy Rice Salad - very flavorful with great textures with the crispy rice Cinco Chuchito - it was good Brussel sprouts - really heavy on seasonings I was not prepared for all the heavy flavors and it wasn't bad but it was a lot. The service was nice. We came here because all of the locations we wanted to try were really booked with long waits. I was surprised there was no wait or not many people here on such a busy night. Glad we got to try it and cross of the list. The décor here is also really interesting with an open kitchen and patio. Also, speaking of open kitchen, there's a 3% charge on the food that's call Kitchen Love. Not sure if that's the standard at restaurants in the area or if it's on the menu but that can definitely rack up with a full dinner with friends. As for parking, there's meters if you're lucky to snag a spot or there's plenty of parking structures in the area.

We started with the Roti Paratha, which arrived warm and flaky alongside a rich curry dipping sauce. For shared plates, we ordered the Bali Sea Bass and Stir Fry Water Spinach. The sea bass was beautifully prepared with layers of spice and aromatics, plus just enough heat to keep every bite interesting. The water spinach arrived sizzling at the table, adding to the experience and making the dish feel fresh from the wok. For noodles, my son ordered his usual favorite, the Mie Tek Tek, while my daughter chose the Mie Ayam, which she thoroughly enjoyed. To drink, we had white wine, Terra beer, and a Thai iced tea that came with a cute presentation. There was a small hiccup when our beverages were forgotten, but the staff handled it well and kindly comped our appetizer, which we appreciated.

It was crispy on the outside and the shrimp was slightly on the firm side and slightly savory. Nasi capcay included a lot of fresh vegetables. It had more liquidy sauce than expected . The veggies soaked up the liquids quickly and began to get a little soggy. However the veggies were savory. The dish could use more greens. NOTE: this dish comes with shrimp which was NOT disclosed in the menu. We specifically ordered veggie only. One party member wanted a veggie dish but could not eat it due to shrimp allergies. Let them know to cook without shrimp if you have shrimp allergies The Nasi bunkus was delicious. Traditional Indonesian food would typically have a lot more tumeric and spicyness but this dish felt more streamlined. You can ask for more turmeric and spicyness if you prefer. Also The chicken was flavorful but a bit dry. The Riice was good, flavorful and not greasy. Perkedelle was tender but did not have as much crispyness as other perkedelle that ive had. The potato inside was not as light and fluffy as expected (compared to other perkedelle) and was instead on the slightly dense side. It was still good. The Bakwang jagung, or corn fritters, were both crispy and a bit dense and sticky. It was savory and was not greasy at all. We liked this dish. Es doger was good BUT had tough meat husks in the drink. The coconut flavor and bits were a nice addition to the drink. The casava and condensed milk had the right amount without being overpowering. If not for the husks in the drink, i would recommend it. Es cendol was heavy on the condensed milk and slightly overrpowered the pandan jelly and bits of jackfruit. It was ok. Overall this restaurant is an option for the area if you are looking Indonesian food.

The grilled chicken with black pepper sauce was just so so in comparison. Gave it 3 stars because there were flies flying around the patio. Covered trash cans might reduce this problem a bit. Price is also on the higher side. $6 milk tea was not very worth it. My sugar sugar and I were looking for a place to have lunch with our daughter and saw this out the corner of our eyes. We pass it all the time but never thought to stop. One thing I love is some good Thai food. I'm from Long Beach and we're know for Thai food! So I have high expectations!!! There's certain cultures that absolutely cook with love and Thai food is at the top of that list. The marriage of flavors are unique and divine. BKK101 does just that!! We were greet with warmth and offered to sit anywhere we like. Since our daughter is young they brought us a high chair and a kids cup to keep her occupied (thank you!). I love the look and feel of the place. Small but inviting. We ordered veggie spring rolls, shrimp pineapple fried rice, and yellow curry with tofu. The curry came with a side of white rice too! Spring rolls were delicious with the right amount of crunch but the sauce. The sauce. The sauce. Yummers! Almost licked the plate! Yellow curry with tofu was heavenly. The right amount of heat, flavor and veggies. I loved the potatoes and carrots and the baby did too! But the show stopper for me was the pineapple fried rice. Who would have thought cashews and raisins in some rice would taste so good!!!! It was cooked perfectly!!! Right amount of curry and veggies. I wanted it for myself but my mama taught me that sharing is caring. All items were piping hot meaning, they cook to order. Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions. Everyone from the food runner to the busser, they were all so nice. From getting us chili paste or to go containers, customer service was on point. Parking - love love that are a few parking spaces right out front. They're metered. But after 8pm it was free so perfect for us. The bartender, Justin took our drink and dinner order and I have to say, he makes amazing cocktails! We had egg rolls for an appetizer, which arrived very quickly and went well with our cocktails. I ordered a rye old-fashioned and my wife ordered a house creation, "Jesuit's Tea Party," which she enjoyed. For our entrees, I ordered Hainan Chicken and my wife had the Walnut Shrimp. Mine was really good, but I have to say I like the Walnut Shrimp better. They have their breading skills dialed in, so next time I think I'd go with something fried. All in all a great experience.
