Just moved to Ossining and had breakfast there this morning. The food and the service are over the top amazing! Everyone is so friendly. Service is quick. Creative menu. I had a pumpkin Pie Cappuccino that comes with a teeny squire of pumpkin pie on the rim, and the Spicy Apple Crumble French Toast. Absolutely delicious. I live in the area and have seen many places come and go in this space over the DECADES but I really hadn't given much thought to actually going but I decided to try it with a friend for brunch and came away with total surprise. The food and service both were extremely good. I had Eggs Benedict served with a small salad and fries (don't like hash browns) and I can't say enough good things. The food was very, very good! My friend had a BLT which I had thought about getting and his only complaint was about the ciabatta roll it was served on being a little hard (but then this is what ciabatta is, a bread with a hard crust). The service was great, attentive but not to the point of annoyingly so. The only caveat is, it is a small space. There is limited seating capacity through no fault of the restaurant itself, that's just the size of the place so, if you come during peak times? Well, you ARE going to have to wait and that's just a simple fact. Parking is available but at peak times can be difficult. Overall though it was a truly pleasant surprise and I will be going back. Everyone loved what they ordered: brunch pizza, salmon benedict, nutella french toast and breakfast fried rice. Delish! I was surprised to read the recent reviewer that had a bad experience based on the restaurant being busy. The owner greeted us and explained that with the customers already seated they needed to wait to seat us (even though tables were available outside)... we asked if we could sit outside while we waited, which we did understanding it might take a little time for our server to greet us, take order and bring drinks. It wasn't a huge wait but we appreciated them explaining the situation to us. Bottom line, Be kind when leaving reviews. This is a family owned business with a ton of good reviews They offer great food in a charming restaurant with a personable team (shout out to Sabrina)! Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances... they explained they had challenges with hiring some new staff recently which has caused some delays from the kitchen (don't worry, they are still sending out great food). Service was inattentive, as no water was brought to our table. The California omelet lacked flavor, the potatoes were cold, and the side salad came without dressing. The shrimp Benedict had an interesting presentation but arrived lukewarm. Overall, the meal was disappointing and this place is not worth recommending. Food is good enough but the service is not what I expected or previously experienced. The chairs for indoor tables are incredibly uncomfortable. There are no menus so had to scan a QR code to see menu. Our server took our order and never came back until the end with the check. I had to stop wait staff passing by to request more maple syrup for pancakes. No one brought water to our table and when I requested water the waitress never returned. 10 minutes later a waiter returned with a cafe filled with room temperature water. I observed waitstaff behind the counter on their cell phones. Probably not worth another trip to Tasty Table. Have been following this establishment for a while now on Instagram & I finally checked them out. It's a 46-minute drive from my home. There is a parking lot available, but not so many spots are available for this establishment, so I parked on a residential side street. When walking in, we were told by hand "one minute ", and then when the hostess came over, she asked how many & for a phone number & they would let us know when they are ready. There were plenty of tables available, so I don't know what that was about. I then received a text message saying I was added to the wait list & it would be a 15-minute wait. My name was called within 5 minutes. We were seated right next to the counter where they do all their transactions & could overhear all the conversations about which table gets what. After sitting at the table for 10 minutes, a waitress came over to ask what she could start us off with.. no hello,no name given. I must say the 3 flight mimosas were great! The pancakes were drier than I like so I didn't finish them & the empanadas were good even though they gave us bean & cheese when we asked for pork(you get 4 empanadas & choose which kind you want). My friend enjoyed her eggs Benedict meal. It's a cute setup. Very busy on Sundays, but there was plenty of staff working for the waitress to be more attentive. I would like to come back to try their lunch/dinner menu. Unfortunately, due to the lack of attention of the staff & the wrong empanadas, I will give 4 stars. read more

The service was good, they were able to seat us within a half hour without a reservation on a Saturday. The nutella stuffed french toast was HEAVENLY. I also got the shakshuka, which was pretty good but I wish my egg had been cooked a bit more (the whites were still clear). The tomato sauce also could've been seasoned more with cumin or paprika. Lavender mimosa was DELICIOUS. Hot chocolate was good. They came around with free mini carrot cakes at the end which was super nice of them. If I came back, I would stick to the traditional American diner dishes, as that's what they do best! Update to my review - Based on the owners' response - I am changing my review to a 1. I initially gave it a 3. The owners' response is consistent with all of their posts. Lisa doesn't respond well to criticism. And cannot take feedback at all. Let me be clear.. the picture I posted on my story was of the drinks because in my post below, I said I enjoyed it. Additionally.. if you look at the chicken and waffles on their social media and compare it to my attached photo - it's a night and day difference. If this is cook-to-order and orders take a while, then we should have been made aware of that. I ate the "WHOLE THING" because I ordered it would never return food. A few people came to us multiple times to tell us the food was on its way out. We ordered chicken and waffles and steak and eggs. Finally, when it did, my chicken was burnt... I guess that's the way they cook them? But it was also no flavor. The crispness of the chicken was good.. but it lacked flavor. The fries were also overcooked with no salt. My friend ordered steak and eggs, and his steak came out rare.. he asked for medium. We talked with the owner about our order, and she was very generous and refunded my chicken and waffles. We visited for the first time to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and we were really excited. She had planned to order a coffee flight and a plate of food. We made an 8:30 reservation through Resy, as it allows for that time (which I'd happily adjust if it were an issue). However, the first person I spoke to greeted us with, "Well, I don't have a reservation here, but we're still open," in a rude tone, which immediately soured the experience. We sat down, and while our server was pleasant, she mentioned they'd be closing in 15 minutes--something the host could have flagged earlier. Out of consideration for the staff, my girlfriend and I decided to skip ordering food to avoid rushing. Instead, I ordered a mimosa flight, and a friend of ours ordered one plate of food. To our shock, we overheard the chefs in the back mocking us, saying, "One plate for three people," and laughing. It was incredibly unprofessional and inappropriate. We made a decision that should have made things easier for them, and yet they chose to ridicule us. This completely ruined the mood and spoiled my girlfriend's birthday dinner. As a hospitality manager myself, I know that if my staff acted this way, they would not have a job. This experience was disappointing and far from the level of service I would expect.We planned to spend a good amount of money here and would've even came back at a different time but due to the service we won't & im sure the staff doesn't care lol. read more

I kept hearing about this place and today we gave in and came to see what all of the hype was about...so here we go. As expected, there were people waiting outside..I checked in with the nicest hostess who took my number and said the wait was 30 min. And I would get a text when our table was ready..20 min. Later I got the text that would change me life..lol the decor is absolutely charming with a country rustic vibe, the staff was fantastic, the menu is extensive yet simple and full of comfort classics ( this was Brunch ). We loved the Mimosa samplers..and the food was absolutely Delicious!!! So fresh and so beautiful. I noticed the aforementioned sweet hostess was not only running the front of the house like a Champ..but was also checking on customers and even passing out homemade cinnamon biscotti ( which was so yummy ) to all the tables..I asked her if the owner was around (as I wanted to compliment the hostess on her manors and work ethic ) I was surprised to learn the Hostess was indeed the owner ( eventually met her husband as well ) what wonderful people!! I congratulated them on their success on such a wonderful place..and we talked for a few minutes. Look, in past reviews I've thrown the term "Gem" around with perhaps careless disregard..but in no other case is the use of "Hidden Gem" more applicable..this place is Amazing!! It really is a very Special place. We are instant regulars!! I was really excited to try this place but what a disappointment. We waited about 45 minutes for a table, which we figured would be the case. However, the service was terrible. Once we ordered, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive- I asked for avocado on my BLT which they didn't add and I didn't even bother asking for it because I figured would be at least 20 Minutes to get it. The pancakes looked so good, but they were the worst pancakes we have ever eaten. Dry and tasteless. The waffles were also awful- dry and tasteless. We asked for well done bacon- it was basically raw but again didn't bother to say anything because of how long the wait was. Even water took 20 minutes to get. The coffee flight was cute but the hot coffee was cold- probably from being made and sitting for awhile before the waitress brought them over. The best thing was the s'more hot coca. I would never wait to eat there again- and I would only get coffee if I returned. Definitely don't get the hype. Edit to owner: Lisa O. Came in on a Saturday evening and were seated promptly. Everything about our meal was wonderful from the service to the rosemary bread to our appetizers and meal and dessert. OMG this will be my brunch spot. This was my 1st time there and I am a repeat customer. So heads up no reservations. Funny enough I didn't make any but thought it would be fine. It is a small spot. No place to wait inside. We get there and there is a 30 min wait. Whatever the wait, it's worth it. Right on point, 30 mins we get a text saying to come in. We sat at the counter. My order the French toast with chicken sausage, with a mimosa flight my friend the Canadian bacon eggs Benedict and cup of decaf. I'm not a French toast person, usually I go with waffles, but man I'm happy I switched it up. The French toast was one of the best I've ever had. It was the right kind of soft in the middle but lightly crispy. You can also taste the spices used such as cinnamon and the custard used. The. Chicken sausage complimented it nicely not too spicy but just right. The mimosa flight is a must each time I go. Definitely worth it. The eggs Benedict was good. It's served with potatoes that were very well seasoned. The eggs were done perfectly. Lol even the decaf was on point. The icing on the cake is the customer service. Before the coffee cup was low they asked if she wanted to refill. The owner came over to join us and we enjoyed our convo with her. This place is super popular and doesn't take standard reservations so make sure to best the rush and get there early or be prepared to wait if you have a larger party.
