Came Back for Our Usual... Left With Feelings About Parking & Sugar Levels Hubby and I decided to circle back to one of our top 3 favorite boba spots (not that our list is super long lol), because after a delicious hot pot dinner we were seriously craving their Coco Mango. First things first... the parking here still deserves its own Yelp review. Whoever designed that parking situation... respectfully... why Parking still sucks, but we powered through. That said, it was actually really nice seeing this place busy and packed last night -- probably around 15-20 people inside. I was weirdly happy about it because I'd be genuinely sad if this place ever closed. Always good seeing people supporting a spot you love. We ordered our usual Coco Mango, and since I was feeling adventurous, I also tried the Dragon Fruit Aiyu. And not gonna lie... the Dragon Fruit Aiyu was delicious. Super refreshing, the dragon fruit tasted fresh, and the jelly inside was such a nice touch. Definitely a solid 8.5/10 for me. My drink was $6.95 and honestly worth trying if you want something fruity and lighter. Now for the Coco Mango... This drink usually never misses. The sweet coconut with that tart mango blend is usually chef's kiss every single time. We've probably been here close to 10 times, which is why I immediately noticed it tasted a little different last night. I ordered mine with the extra lychee popping boba (+$1), so total was $7.95, and I'd rate it around a 6.8/10 this visit. My husband always tells me to stop doing 70% sugar because "either commit or don't" and honestly... he might've been right this time. But even aside from that, both the coconut topping and mango felt less sweet than usual and just didn't have that bold flavor we normally love. Maybe it was because they were extra busy and moving fast -- totally understandable -- but it was the first time it felt a little less magical than usual. Still... one off night absolutely won't stop us from coming back because when that Coco Mango hits, it hits. We'll definitely be back and hoping next time our beloved Coco Mango returns in all its usual sweet, coconutty, mango glory. Happy drinks!
PARKING: It's a big lot, just be careful going in and out. The intersection is bonkers. SEATING: Lots of seating inside for people who want to chat or just to wait around for the drinks. The ambiance was very chill. SERVICE: It was self service so there was no cashier interaction. I did have questions concerning the drinks but all the boba-ristas were busy making drinks. I also didn't want to walk the long stretch as I couldn't bring the menu with me. FOOD: I was feeling matcha and all the reviews are saying that's their best drinks. I got the sesame creme matcha latte with one of the jellys because it was free but I don't remember which. Pretty solid! Not the best matcha I've had at a boba shop but it is up there! Had a good flavor but it did feel a bit watered down imo. OVERALL: I would come back if I was in the area. I just wish that there was more communication between the boba-ristas and customers in terms of if anyone has questions but I get the lack of it due to staffing issues.
I'm giving them 5 start based on their coffee. I got the Seasalt Cream OG and 2 toasted brown sugar Boba milks. The coffee was amazing. My husband makes me a coffee from a phin everyday day for work and this is exactly what it taste like except the cream which elevated the coffee even more. We came back from Vietnam and the coffee in America has been subpar. This has been the only place that I would come back to consistently. Only for their coffee. My children like the Toastes Brown Sugar Boba and finished it quicker than most other places. There is a touch screen to order. I was nicely greeted when I walked in and the store was very clean with a a lot of seating. I found it odd that the middle was long and you have to walk towards the back to get your drink. But overall I'm coming back for that coffee!!!
Heard great things about The Tea so finally gave them a shot! They have a large menu, the inside has a few table seating in the front and some 2-seaters on the edges. We ordered a couple items from their signature menu, the matcha yuzu and the Oreo milk. We realized after ordering that the Oreo milk had no tea in it, there's one that is called Oreo milk tea so something to be aware of. Matcha was hand whisked but not super strong. Both drinks tasted good! Matcha yuzu had yuzu bits in it and the Oreo milk although just milk lol was still good. Would come back to try other flavors!
The tea??? Yes please Did you see that extra effort it kind of rhymed. The incredible effort on my part is because the tea and boba here are very good. The flavors yum. Prices seem pretty standard for LA. Service is nice too, have a self order kiosk but the people are nice. Ambiance also nice. My mother thinks it smells good in here. Shoutout to my mother and my sibling because we are all here eating boba on a hot day. Wooooo We got the golden tea, taro, and hojicha. All are good I don't know what else to say. My picky mother thinks the tea tastes high quality which is very meaningful. It's also near a good grocery store with huge reallyyy good peanut bags apparently. I'm allergic to peanuts even though I love peanuts so I'm offended at my mom for telling me this. Also they are playing Justin beiber right now shoutout my sibling's Justin beiber phase we beliebe in the tea
When they first opened, I used to come a lot since it was one of the first places that had mango sago The drinks are still good, I like how fresh the fruits are
Back at our favorite tea place - The Tea. My son got his usual Or-Lichee drink. Plenty of table seating at around 5:46pm. We like the atmosphere and would come back to this location anytime that we are in town. Service is fine. We called our drink in over the phone so all we need to do is pay and go. My son's drink was ready when we came to pickup.
We got the Passionfruit Green Tea and Lychee Aiyu. Passionfruit GT at regular sweetness was a tad bit too sweet for our preference, we recommend getting 50-75%. Lychee Aiyu at regular sweetness was good. They have very limited tables for anyone looking to hang or work here.
Yelpers, you guys did me wrong. Had a crappy experience here. Filled with awkward silence, no greeting, blank stares..your typical Gen Z behavior. Add to that, a toasted tea that tasted nothing like Thai! And horrendous Nikki Minage blasting from the speakers. Oh, and there is no air con so it was uncomfortably stuffy in there and let us not even touch on the cleanliness...especially when there was more than one employee working--some could be cleaning. Everything was dirty. I hate to call all of this out but with a product that is almost $10 a drink--c'mon. I should have just walked out.
Why does Thai tea not have full lid or seal like other drinks. Obvi , I'll take into account my part in spill but I can't stop what isn't protected. $8 down the drain
I really like the tea bc they have really great non-caffeinated drink options. I have tried their Coco Mango, Coconut Taro blend, fruit tea, and smashed Avocado. All were tasty and, with 30% sweet, it wasn't too sweet. Parking - there are only 2 spots right outside the store. But there is plenty of nearby parking as the have two lots to the left and right of the store. The only reason for 4/5 is because no one greets you when you walk in. The workers always look mad is it just me? They're usually on their phone. BUT it doesn't affect the speed of them getting ur order out. So I do appreciate that.
We ordered the mango pomelo sago. Regular sweet... because it's our first time so we wanted to see the default. The hubby normally likes it sweet, and it's even too sweet for him. $7 Nice place to sit and chat. You get the natural sunlight from the big window by the seats. Got it after the katsu place a few shops away.
I got a matcha latte with black sesame cream. I enjoyed this very much and definitely want to come back and try more drinks! There are a couple ordering screens at the front and the cashier will also help as well when it's busy. The space is clean and there's a couple tables and chairs to hang out with friends and family. Lots of parking available in the front and back.
Enjoyed my milk tea here! You can tell they care about the quality of tea leaves used while brewing and their boba was perfect. I also like their coconut mango whenever I want a switch up. Not much seating but there is a parking lot! read more

I used to love this place. For some reason, either the quality has gone down or the recipe has changed, or the staff who were making those drinks were not properly trained. Oreo matcha brûlée was my go-to. But the drink looks significantly different now. The yellow hint of brûlée is no longer there; the Oreo is a big chunk and not fully blended. When I got the drink, it gave me the vibe that the staff over there are probably doing very poorly in school, because it didn't show any details. It is sloppy. The first time I disappeared, I told myself, "Let's give it another try." But I got disappointed again, and I will never come back. That $7.50 drink didn't give me pleasure; it ruined my mood and wasted money. I might as well use it for gas. I have tried enough and it has disappointed me enough read more
First time trying out The Tea. Very nice place and it's very cozy. Plenty of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your coffee, milk tea and tea type drinks. Very warm and welcoming vibe inside The Tea. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by three sweet young ladies at the counter. All three provided excellent customer service. Yaqi the cashier informed us of their coffee and drink menus. She told us which drinks were better served cold and which ones were better served hot. Connie our barista brought us our drinks. We ordered the Creme Brûlée OG Iced and Sesame Cream OG Iced. Both coffee have Vietnamese coffee as their base. Loved our both our coffee drinks. Creme Brûlée OG Iced was perfect. Not too sweet and the Creme Brûlée compliments the espresso well. Same goes for the Sesame Cream OG Iced. The espresso blends well with the sesame cream taste. However, maybe lessen the thickness of the sesame cream for a smoother taste. Thank you Connie and Yaqi for our delicious drinks and excellent customer service. We can't wait to comeback and try other coffee, milk tea and tea type drinks on The Tea's menu. Will come back on the weekend to try their Seasalt Creme OG Iced. I'm sure that's going to be good. read more

12/18/24 Our crew decided today was boba day so we ordered through Ubereats (The Tea). It's not my usual to order boba or these types of drinks but it's something we're doing as a group, why not? I like taro based drinks so I went with fresh taro puréed milk tea with brown sugar boba. This was delicious! It's a little bit on the rich & creamy side, thankfully I ordered it 60 % sweetened. My colleague got the smashed avocado. This was also very rich & creamy. You can really taste the avocado!. Someone else arranged the ordering so that was easy. This was a great treat & a quick break. The Tea is one of my go-to spots. They have one of the best avocado smoothies--perfectly blended, rich, and not too sweet. The drink is always consistent and hits the spot every time. The place itself is nice and clean, making it a comfortable spot to stop by. Definitely worth a visit if you're an avocado smoothie fan. read more

Ordered the Coconut Taro on 1/18/25. It wasn't too busy around 4:00 pm on a Saturday. Service was quick and you can order through a screen. The coconut taro was delicious. I got 100% sweet and it wasn't overly sweet. The taro tasted really good and fresh. It mixed well with the coconut to create a perfect blend. I might have found my goto for taro blended drinks. Right now they are offering buy 4 get 1 free. read more

This is now my go to spot for tea in the Monterey park area. Their teas aren't overly expensive even for their signatures orders. They are more on the sweet side I've noticed. Wait time is never long and we've never had an issue with finding parking in the front. Tieguanyin Milk Tea 60% sugar - 5/5, sugar level is still a bit sweeter than I would have expected. The tea is stronger and bolder than Golden Milk Tea, I think bc of the Oolong, so I'd say the Golden MT is more refreshing Coconut Taro 30% sugar - 5/5, still pretty sweet but it may be bc of the taro paste. There is already coconut pudding at the bottom which is delicious! So I'm glad I didn't put any other toppings. This is one of my favorite drinks, and I usually don't like taro! read more
I've been to this shop a couple of times and they have a very good selection of drinks and toppings. I've tried the milk teas, the matchas,the coconut taro, and the fruit teas. Very tasty. I love sago as a topping and they have it. I live in OC, but when I'm up this way, I would totally stop by. There is an open kitchen concept also so you get to see the employees make your drink. This is a very strong contender to becoming one of my favorite boba shops. Parking is easy now since many of the storefronts have not been leased yet. read more
The good: I tried the lemon milk, smashed green lime tea with aiyu jelly and salted cream coffee. I liked that I could adjust the sweetness on them. I got 30% sweetness and less ice for all of the drinks (some drinks cannot be adjusted however). I liked the crunchy small ice cubes. The coffee tasted like Vietnamese coffee wjth condensed milk. The salted cream was super smooth. The lime drink was great with a dry finish. The lemon milk (I'm guessing condensed milk like a Brazilian limeade) was pleasant and enjoyed by my toddler. The interior had a modern and clean aesthetic with murals of mountains and tea fields on the walls. They had a self-order tablet. The bad: There's no outdoor seating. The indoor wooden foldable seats are a bit flimsy. My toddler almost fell off them several times. The interesting: You order at the front and pickup is in the back. There's a shelf on the left of the back where they put the drinks sometimes or it could be at the counter. read more

The Matcha here is good and they offer fun rewards during holidays. The only downside is they run out of matcha. They also offer mango sago which is not common in all tea shops. I prefer to get it with less sugar and it is perfect. The portions are pretty big and they are consistent with their drinks. The baristas are friendly and willing to answer questions. There are small tables for you to sit and chat with friends. read more

Two words: Coco Mango Never in my wildest dreams would I believe I found a drink that makes me addicted like The Tea's Coco Mango. I was never a huge coconut fan, but this drink changed my mind. The drink blends sweet coconut milk with chunks of mango and mango puree. The flavors create a smooth, creamy, addicting drink. The drink also comes with pudding. I mean, what doesn't it have? Their Coco Mango is made with fresh ingredients and I haven't found anything that compares. The service is great for the amount of people that frequent this shop. They recently added a few extra tables and chairs near the front entrance. The shop has an inviting, open style kitchen to see how drinks are made. Kiosks are located at the front counter. If you're looking to earn points for every drink purchased, they can only been earned by ordering on the kiosk or through the Toast app. read more
We ordered 4 drinks online but I could not order the Coconut Matcha Latte online but I will order when I get here! The service here was friendly and fast. When we got there, I ordered my matcha and told them we are here to pick up an online order too. As I was waiting, I noticed you also have to go all the way to the back of the bar area to grab your drink (oops). Yes, I got both the Fresh Taro Puree Milk & Coconut Matcha Latte was so good. The fresh taro puree was very good the best. You can taste the taro with the pulp. The coconut matcha was very good. I can't wait to order more items next time. read more

Drove on by to grab some coffee and the fact that there was a good amount of reviews. I ended up going with the sea salt OG coffee. I'm not sure what type of cream they are using here but it was super thick and heavy. I've noticed that type of trend going around SoCal with the heavy creams and have mixed feelings about it, but it's trending! Coffee was strong and done Vietnamese style. I tried mixing up the heavy sea salt cream into my drink but boy it would just not dissipate entirely into my drink. Flavors here are strong. Might come back to try some tea next time. I've read other reviews about the staff here and it's rather funny! My cashier was definitely a new trainee and ordering directly with the cashier was entertaining! They have a digital self order next to the cashier as well, hence why people complain about the staff attitude. I think they need a better system for picking up your drinks at the front instead of having it tucked away all the way by the back wall. I was a little confused when picking up the order. Glad the old Superco building is being revived by The Tea and other establishments. Stop by and give it a go, don't think you can go wrong here for tea and coffee! read more
Not good at all! The service and drinks are awful. We waited 15 mins at the front to order drinks and no one acknowledged us but there was 4 workers. Then we saw the iPad to self order and started ordering but then another person came in and they served them. We then waited 40 mins for our 4 drinks to be made. The service is really awful we asked the guy is our drinks done after 30 minutes and he didnt seem to care and said we are still working on one last drink Their yuzu matcha was powdery and gross. I never say a drink is gross but this was not edible. It was really weird I asked my friends to try also and they didn't like it at all I ordered the taro coco and they made my drink wrong and made a mango coco but I didn't want to wait another 10 mins for a drink. read more

I've been here with my daughter several times and this is the first time that I ordered a drink. You place your order at the kiosk at the front counter. I ordered the Coco Mango with lychee jelly. It didn't take very long for them to prepare our drinks. They were very generous with the lychee, mango and coconut pudding. Also, they gave us a free drink because they made an extra drink by mistake. The majority of the store is the preparation area. There's a small portion with tables for sitting at the entrance and sitting at the back wall. This place is very clean and comfortable. The customer service is excellent. This is my all time favorite boba shop and I highly recommend this place. read more

One of my favorite spots. Their drinks are Good. They use quality ingredients that you can taste in all the different variety of drinks they offer. My usuals are the Mellow milk tea, blended coconut taro, fruits teas like lychee and passion fruit, matcha strawberry, and sesame iced coffee--all delicious. I love how they make their taro puree with real taro. They use fresh mango in their most popular coconut mango drink. Also their boba is soft, which is a key factor to me even though I don't get boba anymore. Ordering is easy with the kiosk or one of their baristas. Service is good and efficient. The baristas are focused on making the fresh drinks once you order. I've gotten my drinks pretty quick when there aren't too many customers. I've noticed waiting for drinks can sometimes take longer if the place is crowded which is expected. I like coming here because parking is easy. The place is big and spacious. And since I'm a regular, I get nice friendly greetings when I come. read more
Came for a late night boba run. Parking was easily with a small one lane lot in front. Shop is small with some indoor seating. Order in the front and pick up in the back. Drinks made in about 10min. 9/10 Mango Pamelo Sago $7.5 - very thick, creamy, on the sweeter side, lots of mango flavor and sago was made chewy. 8/10 Dragonfruit Aiyu $6.5 - seemed a tad watered down because dragonfruit flavor was lacking, but really refreshing and light drink. read more
Really like coming here for their matcha drinks. You can tell they use high quality matcha. And really like walking in when you can smell the fragrance of loose teas! Service is quick and staff are friendly to answer any questions you have. I do dislike you don't earn points if you order with the staff, vs ordering at the self kiosk. The Tea was an after lunch boba pick. I placed delivery order on a food app for my drink, so there was a wait by the time I tried it. I decided to get the Oreo Matcha Brulee (60% sugar, regular ice) with brown sugar honey boba. if you prefer not having your drink not too sweet, then this may be my recommendation for the ratio. The drink was good. However, I would have actually preferred if it was 100% sweetness. read more

This is a pretty decent tea spot located in Monteray Park. We ended up getting the Toasted Oreo Milk, and it was good but also nothing special. It tasted like if you took oreo and dunked it into milk. The toasted part on top was tasty though. Our drink plastic top came out to be pretty funny looking but overall this was a pretty decent spot to get a drink. read more

I came on a Wednesday night when there was light business in the boba shop. The interior is alright, they have an island that they make drinks from in a large room but without much seating, I feel as though this spot could get crowded when it's busy. As for the drink, I got the No. 18 Golden Mellow Milk Tea. It was good, it is a sweeter drink that reminded me of old school milk teas. I had some of my friends' drinks (sesame matcha, coco mango, and avocado) and those were honestly better drinks in my opinion. They said that the toppings were the best part of this shop, but I only tried their pudding (which was good). I'd say this is a solid spot for drinks, come try it if you're looking for new boba to try! read more
The Tea is in my opinion one of the better tea spots in San Gabriel Valley. I discovered this place from my co-worker who frequents this place. The service is friendly and you can either order in person, or through the kiosk. The location is quite spacious and clean with a few available seating tables. I usually order the Oolong Milk Tea as it is my favorite. The Uji Matcha is also pretty tasty too! I'll definitely be back to try more tasty beverages! read more

Great addition to the 626 boba shops scene! This place is located across the street from Ralphs in a small strip mall that is currently still filling up spots. It's near other boba shops too such as Sunright and Half and Half, but I have to say this is way better than them! My go to for this place is their Mango Pomelo Sago, it's like a mix between a smoothie/dessert type of drink which I'm all for it. It's thick in consistency but that's what I love about it. The only downside to this is that you can't have it out too long or else it'll melt. My other go to drink is their Fruit Tea, it's super refreshing and has fresh fruit in the drinks! Definitely a great add to MPK's boba scene. Would definitely come back on a weekly basis! The staff is amazing too and super detail oriented about how they make the drinks. read more
came here because I've been wanting to try this Boba/tea place since they opened in the area. The staff is friendly and took his time to explain their signature drinks and difference between oolong tea and their signature Milk tea which I appreciate so much. I asked for half sweet, but surprisingly it was still too sweer for me although I could agree I could taste the tea flavor and not like other places where they rely heavily on powder flavor. The design of the shop is pretty unique because they have the Boba bar just long across the entire shop . I would definitely come back for their oolong milk tea and will ask for less less less sweet. read more
The service here is always nice and they're pretty quick as well, nice store but limited seating. You also have to go all the way to the back of the bar area to grab your drink since the buildings here are pretty slim so their layout has to be a little odd It's a cute little place in the same block as half&half and sunright, meet fresh and wushiland are also close by as well so it's in a pretty boba-saturated area and might be difficult for them to come up but I personally think they are worth revisiting more than once. I've tried way too many drinks from here to list, whether it be mine or a sip of my friend's lol but my personal favorites so far have been the mango fruit tea and the toasted brown sugar milk boba read more

Went again and my god You have to order less ice. It just tastes better. Their matcha quality is amazing and their boba balls aren't a hard texture. Soft with a chew. Their drinks are really good and so are the workers! This time I got their strawberry matcha milk and toasted brown sugar boba milk tea read more
Don't let outside deceive you cause it's a lot bigger once you step inside! There's a few tables for those that want to sit or hang out. Parking: located in a small plaza Tried the Earl grey milk tea, which was very authentic and smooth. I got regular sweet which was a little on the sweeter side so I would probably get less sweet next time. Overall, nice spot and would probably come back to try the other flavors read more
I thoroughly enjoyed the Tea's Vietnamese coffees. There is a variety to choose from. The Sea Salt Cream OG was like drinking dessert. It reminds me of the Vietnamese desserts where it's topped with that thick creamy coconut sauce, like Chè Dau (sticky rice pudding with Black Eyed Peas). I loved it. The Crème Brûlée OG was delicious! The crème brûlée was like drinking custard. Well, duh! Crème brûlée is a custard dessert, after all. Mixing the crème brûlée part into the coffee created this rich, sweet, creamy treat. The taste reminded me of coffee cake. If you don't mix it well into the coffee, then it tastes like a crème brûlée coffee malt. It is the heaviest out of all their other coffees. I wanted to take a nap after. I also don't recommend ordering this if you just had lunch or dinner. It is filling. I also recommend ordering the Crème Brûlée OG with less sugar. The OG Booster is strong. You can immediately taste the caffeine from the first sip. I was completely wired. It had the opposite effect of the crème brûlée. The OG Latte is a good in-between. It has a nice balance. I didn't feel wired or coffee fatigue after. I recommend if you want something in the middle between OG Booster and Sea Salt Cream OG. Moreover, I got it with less sugar, and it was perfect. It was enjoyable to sip on throughout the workday. I just have the Brown Sugar Boba OG and the Black to try, but I am looking forward to getting their Sea Salt Cream OG again. read more
