We LOVED the clean, rustic yet modern ambiance and the innovative self service tap station. It had over 10 beers on tap and over 4 cocktails. Very cool! The Friday fish fry was *chef's kisses* , light, flaky, juicy wall eye with the ever so feather like breading to add that flavor, the rye bread is EVERYTHING to write home about and the coleslaw was fresh and crunchy. The burger was very juicy and mouthwatering and we got the chicken tortilla soup that tasted super yummy and homemade. It was an OK burger and beer. Staff was friendly and helpful. Selection of beer and a few mixed drinks on the tap wall. Other drinks available at a service counter along with food. We went to the tap wall and poured a couple of beers. If you stop pouring to allow the foam to die down, you have to re-tap your wristband to activate it again. The two beers we got built quite a head, so you have to be careful not to let the foam escape, because you pay for anything that foams out of the glass. We ordered a couple of burgers, and they came out fast and were very fresh and hot when they arrived. Got cole slaw - standard fare, served in a small plastic cup. Burgers were ok-nothing remarkable, but a decent burger. Fair pricing, but I kind of miss a chilled glass for a beer. Limited selection of food if you're in the mood for something. Truly such a great place to go with friends, family, etc. The owner was so nice and gave my mom a free Cow Pie (skillet cookie with toasted marshmallow on top) for her birthday. A unique tap house experience! What a great idea - pour your own! Enter, show your ID, get a wristband connected and step up to the wall of taps to sample away. Tap you band and pour the desired amount you would like to drink. Tall glasses, flights, cocktails, etc. Ice and garnishes are also readily available. We didn't eat food as we had just had dinner but I was eyeing the food served and WOW! If it tastes as good as it looks, I will be back to try some food with my brews. Service was great. Great business model for the owners, nice grassy outdoor area and limited outside deck seating. Their self serve tap wall has a variety of IPA's, Ciders, Sours, cocktail drinks, Pale Ales, etc. If you are new to these and want to try them, then perhaps it is for you. You will be charged for each sample (ounce) you try versus going to any other brewery or tap house where samples are typically free. I personally found a cider that I have never drank, but my wife and I split nachos and each had a 1 and 1/2 regular drinks for a total of $57. So watch out the ounces add up to an expensive - mediocre experience. I also could find but one beer I liked, and as luck would have it they ran out of that one. read more

We stopped in for a drink mid-afternoon just to experience a serve-yourself tap house. The young man greeting us explained the process and showed us how to use the wristband he issued us to activate the taps. The beer selection was heavily skewed to IPAs and sour beers, although my husband managed to find an amber that suited him. I tried their old fashioned, which had a strange chemical taste. I didn't care for it at all. Their food menu looked interesting and I was sorry that we had other plans for dinner. There were people at several tables enjoying the board games. It seemed like a fun place to hang out, but I could see that it would be easy to over-serve yourself and then be surprised at the total tab at checkout. read more

Interesting concept of serving yourself beer and a few wines or seltzers. Only problem is like ALL craft brewery bars, no selection for lager or Pilsner drinkers except bud light and original leinies ..all of which I can get in my preferred bottle very cheap elsewhere. I do like concept of this method just not a place for a bottle Peroni/Heineken, Becks or a few other good imports drinker. I'm sure craft beer fans will like this. Didn't look at food selections but I know they are limited. Good place to grow a healthy business if tweaked. read more
