First time staying at the Cliff House and had dinner here tonight. Service was great. They were very pleasant and attentive. Oysters and shrimp cocktail to start, so so good. Dinner was the salmon and strip steak, also both delicious. Dessert was an apple streusel cheesecake. Wasn't crazy about it but definitely nice of them to remember we were there for our anniversary. Beautiful views throughout , complimentary champagne was nice too.

I went here for lunch with my family on a weekend in September. We were seated by the window, which was perfect for soaking in the stunning views during our meal. Food: With six of us, we ordered two chef boards to share. They came with a variety of cured meats, farm stand cheeses, house jam, spiced nuts, coastal honey, crostini, and crackers. Everything was fresh and flavorful, but I couldn't get enough of the honey! For mains, some family members had the lobster roll and Cliff Fish n' Chips, and everyone agreed they were both excellent. Since I'm not big on seafood, I opted for the wagyu burger, and it was one of the best burgers I've had. The bacon habanero jam added a fantastic layer of flavor. The only thing I'll mention is that since we were there for lunch, we had the all-day menu, which didn't have as many options as breakfast or dinner. I'll definitely have to come back to try those! It's also not the cheapest meal but the views and service make it worth the price. Service: Our server was super friendly, especially since two people in our group were late due to traffic. We never felt rushed, and they let us take our time with the appetizers before ordering, and even before everyone had arrived. It wasn't too busy that day, so the food came out pretty quickly, which was nice. Ambiance: The outdoor views were absolutely breathtaking, and the indoor seating was also really comfortable.

We made the mistake of choosing Tillers at The Cliff House for our romantic Valentines dinner.... Although the service was excellent & ocean views were stunning, this weekend fell between NH & Maine school vacation & there were kids running around everywhere. We were seated at a lovely window table with spectacular views, directly next to a table with a toddler... Lots of yelling & whining. Not exactly an enjoyable or romantic fine dining experience! Totally not the restaurant's fault, just something to consider before dining there. Our server was wonderful, very attentive. The shellfish platter & lobster corn chowder were amazing, but the mussels & lobster fried rice were cold & just ok....

Reviewing again but as a resort guest this time. Girls' weekend at the Cliff House and we ate 3 meals here (breakfast, lunch, casual dinner in the lobby area). Many options, some classic some more unique. Food was always yummy, staff also welcoming and helpful! Standouts are Lisa and Casey in the dining room - in fact, we can't wait to come back to see them again! Vibes are 10/10. Highly recommend the green juice, burger and espresso martinis!!

Terrible service. Food slow and clearly left long under heat lamp. Dry cake clearly cut ages ago. Had to cut off dry edges. Expect better. Very disappointing. Slow service. Beautiful view may make the visit worth it.

Our first dinner of our honeymoon at The Cliffhouse was at The Tiller! The servers were extremely professional and attentive, and we thought they had a great menu here. My filet mignon was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was incredibly tender. The focaccia bread appetizer was nice and garlicky, though I could've used a bit more ricotta on the board. My husband enjoyed his scallops and lobster fried rice, and we shared a decadent chocolate cake topped with macerated strawberries. We had a perfect view of the ocean, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer start to our vacation!

Gluten-free s'more pancakes

Though online reservations weren't available, we took our chances with an in-person visit and only 2 other tables had guests. I was happy to see so many gluten-free and vegetarian options on the menu. I will say, I found the prices to be quite fair compared to many restaurants in downtown Ogunquit (I paid $13 for 3 tiny spring rolls at a Thai restaurant for dinner last night) but $17 for 3 large gluten-free pancakes here. The pancakes were delicious and my latte was excellent. The service was lackluster but the views were our main draw. I certainly recommend it if you want to enjoy the cliff walk, breakfast and views.

Wonderful, cornmeal, crusted swordfish with brown butter, polenta, and roasted tomatoes!

We had an excellent dinner overlooking the ocean with very tasty lobster chowder and a delicious cornmeal crusted swordfish over brown butter, polenta and roasted tomatoes - one of the best swordfish dishes I've ever had.

We had breakfast and dinner at this restaurant twice during our visit. The service was outstanding- friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from every window over the ocean. Very comfortable. My breakfast of Cinnamon + Vanilla Overnight Oats, house blueberry jam, coastal honey, chia seeds, and almond milk was delicious, as was my second breakfast of a Quinoa Grain Bowl with poached eggs, spinach, fennel, roasted tomatoes, and feta. Partners New England Benedict of english muffin, maple brined cornmeal bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise did not disappoint. Our dinners were also outstanding. Of note local Salmon on a bed of creamed corn, roasted peach salad, charred scallion oil, fried capers -- and the Chatham Cod with fingerling potatoes, saffron broth, mussels, and clams. This kitchen knows what they are doing! Expensive but it is a resort and this food was excellent.

My husband and I love the Tiller restaurant at the Cliff House in Cape Neddick! The ambience of the entire experience is beautiful, breathtaking, and a five star experience! Service is great, professional, and friendly! Food is amazing! I love their brunch and lunch menu. Looking forward to trying their dinner menu sometime in the future. Drinks are always great! Once you are finished with your dining experience, you can enjoy a beautiful walk around the gardens or explore the cliff side. We love the Tiller restaurant!

First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!

Like, I'd probably go out of my way just to come back. It is a super unassuming spot behind the building of a gift/craft store and ice cream shop. There is a bar seating and patio. It was not too crowded at 3ish in the afternoon on a Monday; we were greeted warmly and told to choose a table. They didn't have a high chair but they had booster seats. I got a glass of brut rosé and my husband got the Pilsner on draft. Both were refreshing and delicious! I got a half dozen oysters (followed by another half dozen afterward) of the fresh oysters of the day, and also learnt this place is on the Maine Oyster Trail. For good reason too--they were probably some of the best oysters I've ever had. Shucked perfectly, with delicious cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemon and mignonette. So good I had to get more. I had a burger for my main, with a gluten free bun and no cheese for dairy free. They also have gluten free fries that are made in a separate frier, bless! My husband got the lobster roll, cold style and said it was absolutely delicious--his first lobster roll and everything he hoped it would be. On top of the food and drinks being great, our server was an absolute gem. So kind, so helpful, he went above and beyond to take care of us and ensure my food was allergen safe. He even went out of his way to get milk for our toddler in a fun kids cup. I truly hope to make it back some day soon!

This visit was spoiled by poor service. After being told by our waiter that our food was coming, 45 minutes after our order was taken, we were dismayed that our entrees were delivered and they completely forgot our salad. Where was the salad we ordered for our first course? And where was the second glass of red wine my wife ordered? We ordered a seafood dish with clams, mussels, haddock, and shrimp atop a pasta in a "saffron" sauce, and a grilled beef tenderloin with potatoes and grilled asparagus. The seafood dish featured perfectly prepared fish and shellfish, but the sauce had little flavor. I sampled the beef tenderloin, which had a nice flavor but was otherwise indistinguishable. The long wait for food, as well as the scatterbrained attitude of our waiter, made this dining experience so uncomfortable that we decided to skip dessert and just pay our bill and leave. And we had to pay for parking a princely sum to make matters even more adverse. We won't be back.
