I was pretty disappointed with my food. The service was good they tried, made up for the ehh edible food. I ordered the Parmesan truffle fries which smelled great but were super cold. I let my waitress know she was super nice about it, they Re-Fried the French fries and they came back hot but burnt I was dissatisfied and hungry. I also ordered the lobster tacos which were pretty good unfortunately I really wanted to have with good fries but that wasn't possible here and there was no compensation I paid full price for the crappiest fries. Went to Tipsy Boar on Monday night located on Harrison Street in Downtown Hollywood. It has been several years since the first time I visited here and it won't be the last. It has consistently had good food however as much the food is good the service has never been spectacular. In fact it is downright awful. Let's take the other night as an example when you arrive by way of alley there is a parking lot on the West side of the restaurant. You have to pay a guy $3. and they call it valet. But get this he doesn't park your car just takes your money thus why does it even say valet?! Once inside you are entering from the back as we head up to the front the hostess goes to seat us. But get this all the tables seat four so when we wanted one table over another one she comments this is really for three but I will allow it. So before you even sit down you are insulted? The waiter comes gets your drink the order time between ordering and actually getting what you ordered is endless. Which than reminds me why I Yelp. South Florida has some of the worse service in the World this place is no exception. So why the four star review? Because the food is consistently good and above average. This visit I had something new the grilled shrimp tacos which is under appetizers,and my husband the steak tips. They were both delicious and the prices were fine considering the close proximity to the beach aka tourists. Look forward to our next visit but it won't be too soon as I keep hoping the staff miraculously gets a better attitude here. read more

A fun bar and restaurant with good food and drinks. Plenty of beer on tap and in bottle/cans. It's not your typical bar food, it's real top quality dining. The staff is very friendly, from the server to the bartender. They are informative and is happy to answer any questions you have. For dinner, there may be a slight wait on the weekends. There are regular tables as well as high tops and outdoor seating. There's a nice bit pizza oven in the back. We went with a table for 4 on a Saturday night around 7pm and got seated after a 5 minute wait. Here are my recommendations for food. Go for Duck Wings!! They're so delicious Crispy, sweet and tangy wings on a bed of refreshing apple slaw. So refreshing and zesty. Probably the best wings I've ever very had. The Mussels in Provencal cream sauce was light but flavorful. Lots of mussels and bread for dipping. Lobster BLT Tacos were also great! Came in a set of 3 so good for sharing. Overall, very good for a friend gathering or a date. However it is a little loud inside so talking maybe be a challenge but the food is so good you might not want to talk! read more

What a great place to have a delicious meal. The service was on point. Our waiter was very attentive refilling our drinks, giving us pointers on what was great on the menu and overall making the experience of eating as important as the cooking of the meal. My husband and I came here for a date night and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! We started with the goat cheese croquettes, which if you're a fan of goat cheese, you will absolutely love these ! They had another special for an appetizer that night which was a steak crostini. It had a pub feel, a fun environment with TVs and a large amount of people having a good time. We ordered the Fried Calamari, Lobster BLT Tacos and Blackened Mahi-Mahi. The Fried Calarmari was really good! Not too chewy and perfectly crispy. Soo GOOD! The Lobster BLT Tacos was also really amazing! The tacos were full of large chunks of lobster and a flavorful pico de gallo topping. A perfect combination! My boyfriend really enjoyed his Mahi-Mahi. I took a few bites and it wasn't fishy or overcooked. It was juicy, flavorful and oh so good! The staff was friendly and attentive. We came to the Tipsy Boar with a few other Yelpers after the awesome Yelp Holiday Party as part of a UYE. Pretty cool place, the blue light gives it a funky vibe. It was a weekday and it was pretty slow so we had no problem getting a table big enough for all of us. I really liked the vibe of the place. I also liked that It wasn't too loud, we were able to talk. They have a ton of brews on tap. I am not a beer drinker and even I was impressed. Menus were brought in short order. Our waitress was pretty nice and answered out questions. I ordered my usual Old Fashioned and I also ordered Grilled Shrimp Tacos, which were very good. The first impression, starting with the hostess, wasn't exactly grand. Luckily, she didn't set the bar for the rest of the experience. We asked to sit outside, and were seated on the side patio. It was a perfect area, with five TVs. We started with an order of bacon wrapped dates, and an order of deviled eggs. Both came with three in each order. They were great. The bacon wrapped dates were stuffed with blue cheese, and unlike anything I'd had before. I loved the deviled eggs, drizzled with bacon bits too. For my meal, I ordered the flounder sandwich. It was fantastic and huge. I don't think I've ever had fried fish more fresh than that. The only complaint about my entree, was that that the fries weren't hot and had been under a heat lamp of some sort. The sauce, lemon, and pickle were all a bit wilted, and had obviously been kept with the fries under the heat lamp. My husband had the mac and cheese, and added pulled pork to it. I tasted it and it was fantastic too. The craft beer selection was unmatched in the area, definitely a recommended choice for the craft beer lover. read more

The night was great! it's so refreshing to go back to Hollywood to eat at that place ever since I was young. I love the cornbread it's fluffy, the sugar butter had a sweet texture with pecans, and the bacon and syrup combined together was the perfect consistency of a appetizer (should have been a dessert to begin with) but was delicious none the less. I am not usually on this side of I-95 :) but when I am, I really like to find new spots. After attending a gala event my wife along with our two young boys were pretty hungry and wanted to grab a bite somewhere we could all get a good meal and not worry about if the kids go go in as it was late. Using Yelp yet again I found this spot. Great place I plan on coming back to with a group of friends. Their food was great. They served up some fantastic wings, pizza was really good too. I had the wild boar burger which was very very tasty. They got a great bar with selection craft brews and great cocktails.
