This was my sister and I's last stop before we wrapped up our time in Philadelphia and headed to the airport. We each built our own pasta. I thought it was cool that we could choose every aspect of our pasta, even down to the type of noodle. We started off with the cheesy garlic bread which was super cheesy and tasty. I found their alfredo sauce to be really good and the pasta was a nice texture. I can't comment much on the service as we took our own orders via the kiosk.

Super meh with even meh service. My husband and I were tired and had read good reviews of this place so stopped in for some pasta. I didnt realize it was more a hole in the wall types but we were committed by then. Ordered the rigatoni with vodka sauce and the garden pesto signature pasta. The pasta tasted good thoigh it could have been hotter. We got the food to dine in but were still given the pasta in to go boxes. The person confirmed it was dine in. Others got their pasta in proper bowls with garlic bread. The bread was also missing drom our order (we ordered a side of garlic bread also and maybe they decided we didnt need more;)) Food is cheap but service could be better and more consistent.

Yum! In town visiting my friend's daughter and enjoyed this hidden gem near Rittenhouse. Parking was a little rough but the food was worth it. I ordered the Spring Pomodoro with rigatoni and garlic chicken which was delicious and a spinach and mozzarella arancini. Yummy! I also tried the garlic bread and the Alfredo sauce which were also tasty! My friend who got the vodka sauce said it was a bit lacking and it was REALLY hot in there so it's definitely a take out spot. But recommend to anyone in Philly!

Little hole in the wall basement level restaurant; small, cozy. Old school pizza joint feel. Order at Kiosk, short wait and food brought out for dine-in. Same for pickup or togo orders. individuals busy but nice. Pasta tastes fragile and home made. Chicken carbonara - protein a little dry. Italian sausage a little salty but rigatoni pasta on point, dish good but heat level should come with a warning label. Overall good joint to check out in downtown.

Chicken Bacon Alfredo: I stepped out of my comfort zone with this order because I usually don't like Alfredo, however this dish exceeded my expectations! They were very generous with the meat, which I wasn't expecting especially since it included two different kinds. The garlic bread was delicious, and the portion sizes are great. I would definitely recommend it and would come back again. My only complaint is the location, I've walked past this place a million times and never noticed it!!!!

Great place to stop into for a quick bite of fresh pasta. Pasta is homemade and made to order, so very fresh. Plenty of seating

If you're looking for a quick service offering delicious homemade pasta, Farina Pasta Bar is the place for you! Space is small but it is cozy and all of their pasta dishes come with a delicious piece of garlic bread. I love their pistachio pesto with rigatoni which is one of my go to. Their vodka and beefy ragu is delicious and everything is freshly made.

I'm really impressed with Farina. It is tucked away downstairs and comes off unassuming. Do not judge quickly! Their principle is pretty simple - fresh, house made pasta in a fast causal setting. You pick your pasta style and the sauce you'd like. That's it! You can add in some proteins or veggies if you'd like. They have a few sides. Your bowl will come out in 5ish minutes. It is a solid lunch portion. I usually go rigatoni in their ragu. They have a limited selection of drinks (can & bottle) available for purchase but no alcoholic options at this time I believe. Bus you own plate once you are finished and head out to enjoy the rest of your day!

Chicken parm and Chicken Bacon Alfredo (added mozz balls and subbed for protein pasta)

Amazing cheesy garlic bread and pasta! Staff was super nice and the vibe is chill, perfect place to stop for a quick lunch after walking around the city

Some of best pasta I've had especially at a more fast food type place. Portions are generous. Well packaged! Dessert was yummy as well. Ordered on DoorDash.

When I mean I have been missing out too long, I mean really long. Sure I have heard about people raving about Farina, but finally got a chance to try it out last night. Fresh made pasta in a cozy no fuss setting is the best way to go. And that's not all they have make your own options, flatbreads and appetizers. I tried the Rasta Pasta, and Chicken Vodka flatbread. Huge portions, gluten free options and plenty of Garlic Bread to share. It's more self service so if you are good, it's the best

I love this European feel. Up first, I had a $17 El Noe. I was hoping for a strong burnt mezcal taste, but nope. It seems like only Florida gets this drink right. The drink wasn't bad at all, but I was just looking for that burnt taste. I also had a $18 Dirty Pasta Water Martini, basically a dirty martini. It was fine, but it came in a micro grass which was kind of weird. Clearly this isn't a place you come for cocktails. Now, onto the star of the night, the food. Up first, the $16 Spring Salad. Loved it, hit the spot. Also, had the $17 Arancini. I really liked those little balls and especially the dipping sauce. I had the $26 Rigatoni. It was absolutely phenomenal. I could go eat it every day. My mom had the $24 Tonnarelli and it was also top tier excellent. The flavors, the atmosphere, the staff, everything here is top notch. The Internet did not let me down. I'm so glad I decided to book this restaurant. I had a wonderful night.

The antipasti we chose the crudo was not my style of sashimi pairing. They added a fish with something even more oily/heavy so it just made everything heavy and not light and fresh which I prefer. The rigatoni honestly was way too salty for my taste. With the focaccia that's mid...it was less salty. The rumps seasonal pasta was delicious and fresh tasting! The service however is amazing and the server gave the great rec of the seasonal rumps pasta!

My partner and I couldn't eat two of the three dishes we ordered at the restaurant this evening. We started with some bread - I smothered a few slices in olive oil. We ordered the Caesar Salad first - you can see from the attached picture, it doesn't look that good - it's mostly 'white' Romaine lettuce - not sure where the green part was!! I tasted the salad and almost had to remove the lettuce from my mouth! It was so bitter - sour - an overwhelming acidic taste - it appeared to be too much lemon juice. We couldn't figure it out - we returned the salad. We ordered a side of meatballs next in a marinara sauce. They tasted fine and were tender - the marinara was good as well. Next up, we shared the seafood special of the night - Linguini Pescatore - pasta with mussels, calamari and shrimp. The dish came - we both tasted the pasta and came to the same conclusion - over salted to a degree which I've never experienced. I took another taste as it was hard to believe there was that much sodium in this dish. It was inedible - I tasted a shrimp - same overwhelming salty taste. I thought it must be the white sauce as everything in that bowl had absorbed it. We left two dishes uneaten - I notice a patron behind me whose partner had pasta with red sauce - completely clean plate - while his partner left her dish full of pasta with white sauce. My guess, the tomato based marinara was fine, but the white sauce wasn't. It's hard to believe the chef cooking those sauces would serve something laden with so much salt - I'm hopeful it was a mistake. However, the Caesar Salad was also horrible - my guess - it's a hit or miss restaurant. One which I'll avoid in the future.

If none of those appeal to you, your only alternative is to choose a pasta with a standard sugo (tomato sauce). There are also a couple of sandwich options, but those are limited as well. There's little to no flexibility--if it's not on the menu, they're not likely to accommodate substitutions or custom requests. That said, the two young men I encountered were both professional and not snarky at all in relaying the limitations. It was what it was. I went with rigatoni in sugo, topped with grated Parmesan. The pasta was excellent--perfectly al dente, and the sauce had great flavor and consistency. Authentic and well-prepared. That said, the downsides are hard to ignore. The portion was relatively small, and with a bottle of Italian soda, the total came to $22.58--closer to $30 with tip. There's also no complimentary bread. Focaccia is available for $5, but it didn't look particularly appealing (a bit dark and overly crisp), though I didn't try it. Pros: * Delicious, authentic Italian pasta * Perfect texture and well-balanced sauce * Clean, attractive trattoria setting Cons: * Very limited menu (pasta and a few sandwiches) * No customization or flexibility * Price feels high for the portion size * No complimentary bread Overall, a tasty experience, but the limited menu and value may not work for everyone.
