Walking into this shop as a person who knows absolutely nothing about Pokémon cards felt a little…read morelike walking into a foreign country... where everyone speaks fluent Pikachu and I only know how to say "uh... this one looks shiny" My 9 year-old son recently got into Pokémon cards, and when I realized this shop was right near our house, I stopped in to grab a few packs. They had blind packs where you could win a graded card, and I made the bold parenting move of promising my son we'd come back the next day to open it in store, which, in taking your kids anywhere means you're probably buying more stuff. When we came back, Mark (the owner) didn't just help... he fully embraced my son's excitement like it was the highlight of his day. He answered question after question, the kind of rapid-fire, deeply specific, extremely serious questions that only a 9-year-old Pokémon enthusiast can ask with genuine enthusiasm, patience, and kindness. He also took the time to show my son how to look up the value of the cards online. And let me be clear... there were a LOT of questions. Like... enough questions that I started learning things myself and now feel slightly more qualified to nod confidently when my son talks about grades and anything other than Pikachu. Even though the store was packed, Mark made every person feel like they were the only customer there. No rushing, no brushing anyone off , just pure enthusiasm, kindness, and a welcoming knowledge. It's rare to find a place that isn't just a store, but actually feels like a little community hub. My son walked out feeling excited, proud, and already asking when we can go back... which tells me everything I need to know. If you're looking for Pokémon cards, sports trading cards, or just a place where kindness still exists and kids are treated like VIPs, this is it. 10/10 would absolutely return... and next time I might even know what I'm buying...maybe...and even not I know I'll be returning and buying. something

Came twice here and was very happy with Christian and the owners customer service and honest dealing. Both gave me good advice on other signed merchandise I might find on my garage sale adventures as well as some key things to analyze when looking at merchandise. If there had been one other person in the shop, I wouldn't have been able to turn around. It feels overly cluttered, or even claustrophobic. The employee working was really friendly, and knew the inventory fairly well, though they didn't end up having anything i needed. This shop, like most of the shops in this and adjacent areas, is hyper focused on modern comics. I understand why, and it makes sense to a point, but it isn't somewhere i could see spending any time really picking through back issues for good stuff. If I lived nearby, i might get my weekly pull here, but i wouldn't reserve much time for hanging out. I was traveling through the area on a tour of shops looking specifically for older back issues, i'm afraid this shop doesn't hit that kind of niche. I'm also confused about the name, because there was no indication anywhere that coffee was involved at all. I expected something like a Cafe with an attached book store, but as it turns out the coffee referenced in the name of the shop refers to coffee grounds that they give away with purchases? It's just a little misleading, and a big reason I won't score this shop higher. Overall, this shop is probably good for a pull list, but not good for collectors who are deeper in the trenches than modern slabs and resale value collecting. The employee was nice, and helpful, but the location itself is not great, and the name doesn't really imply what the concept is very well.

Out of the 2 locations I've been to, this has a better parking lot as well. Since the store is a lot bigger, that means a lot more selection of figures, books, manga, videos and more. In general, I do enjoy this store as it has great value. I found quite a few things that were quite cheaper here than if you go to a large retail store. If you have anything that you may want to get rid of (but works very well or in good shape) you can see if they're willing to it and give you an estimate. The staff are helpful to help you (the best of their ability) to find what you are looking for or need.

Lots of books, old school games, dvds, action figures or collectibles, videos and more. You could spend a lot of time in here if you are only perusing. Everything was tidy and well-organized. I think some of the of books were out of place from topics but for the most part, it was kept clean. Lot of the products and books were in pretty good condition. Some products were a little pricey for secondhand use..but nonetheless pretty cool spot. Service was alright--didn't really talk to the staff all that much and they seemed pretty busy organizing the books and shelving. The cashier that helped me didn't really give me any vibe other than he was just there to do his job which isn't a bad thing but I've definitely experienced more hospitable customer service at other book stores.

Chilisblues is a tiny store located in a converted motel. Yes, motel. You can totally tell it used to be a motel, and the store is about the size of a small motel room. I almost got lost finding it on the GPS because the street view made it look like it was a residential home. She has a decent selection of collectibles from Vinyls, figurines, toys, games and a Funko Pop! When I stopped by, she had boxes as high as the ceiling but couldn't move her inventory due to her shoulder. I spied some Pop! from SDCC (Comic Con), other exclusive ones, and even a Chase.
