We go to The Tropical when we are having a late dinner. They close at 10pm which is later than most Thai restaurants. The prices are a little higher and we usually get our own dish instead of sharing when we are there. I like the tom kha and their fried fish (around $25). The ka prow today was really salty. I am not sure if it was because I asked for 4 in terms of spice. It wasn't really spicy.

It's been my go to lately when in Tulsa. Went again. I had the Pad Thai again. It never disappoints. The service was good and atmosphere was quiet and pleasant.

Yum! I'm so glad we finally tried The Tropical. Most of us ordered the pad Thai, and it was really tasty. We ordered a lunch portion, and it was still a good amount. One of my kids ordered the chicken wings off the kids' menu, and he said they were tasty. Service was very fast and attentive. It's very clean inside. We will certainly come back.

The food was incredible and the service was great. It wasn't too crowded. My husband and I got a mai tai and it was perfect.

Having been scarred by The Tropical on the first visit, I've decided to come back to give this establishment a second chance, and I am so glad I did. The Tropical is an excellent Thai restaurant as long as you avoid the Spaghetti Kee Mao. It might even get a 5 stars if I could completely erase the memory of the initial visit. The Tropical has excellent pad thai. Pad Thai is a stir-fried rice noodle dish commonly served as street food in Thailand. It is typically made with rice noodles, shrimp, peanuts, scrambled eggs, and bean sprouts. I love the flavorful sauce in the pad thai at The Tropical. It truly is wonderful. Tom kha or Thai coconut soup is a spicy and sour soup of coconut milk, galangal, kaffir, lime leaves, lemongrass, Thai chili, mushrooms, chicken, fish sauce, and lime juice. At The Tropical, I particularly love the inclusion of tomatoes in the soup to give it a richer taste than the traditional soup. It tastes like a creamy version of hot and sour soup with different ingredients. It's good at The Tropical, just not my cup of tea. It's a shame that I can't get over the injury of the initial visit. The pain is gone but the scar is there, maybe next time.

Wonderful food! Can't believe I've lived here a year without finding this place. I will admit the calamari was tough and had no tentacles which I prefer. Everything else was FANTASTIC! Just look at the photos for the variety my family ate... yet there were so many other dishes we wanted to try! We'll have to become regulars just to get through the menu.

Had a great weeknight dinner here. Staff were very friendly and prompt. The restaurant was nearly empty around 7pm but it was great to have a quiet place to eat and talk. The food was really good. I got chicken pad Thai and I can say that I would get it again. The corn cakes were also a really good starter.

I would like to call myself a Tom kha soup connoisseur at this point and The Tropical has HANDS DOWN, the BEST Tom Kha soup in Tulsa. It is creamy, flavorful, and delicious. We also got the Kaprao fried rice, which I didn't love. The rice was dry. But it's also hard to follow up a dish as amazing as the Tom kha soup. Just please go and try it!!

The shrimp were tender and well seasoned, though not quite what I would consider jumbo. The snow crab legs werenot as plentiful as I'd prefer based on the description, but the texture was right where it needed to be. They broke cleanly and pulled easily, which made them enjoyable to eat. The eggs were actually one of my favorite parts. They held the seasoning really well and added an extra layer of flavor to the meal. I placed a pickup order, and the experience inside was just as pleasant. The space was clean, and the woman at the front was genuinely friendly. We had a quick conversation about the menu while I waited, which made the visit feel more personal. Overall, I would come back for the flavor, even if I am hoping for slightly more generous portions next time.

For our seafood boil, we went with both of their current specials: the snow crab special and the crawfish combo (no picture because not sure if these changes). We also added a pound of clams, and they were able to toss everything together in one bowl, which was super convenient. We got the Flavortown sauce at medium spice. French fries are especially boring. Well, anything battered and deep fried is actually pretty boring. Greasy, tasty but actually boring. But I still eat it. And I still regret eating it. Somehow when you put gravy on something deep fried, we have a different discussion. Boring goes to delightful! What was the topic again? Oh! Chick O' Fish A large restaurant chain scattered across the south. Never heard of it until I ran across reviews for the Tulsa location. The restaurant is favored by gourmands. The servings enormous and greasy. The three-piece fish / three-piece shrimp meal exceeded the count of three. No one should complain about the amount of food. A pile of battered and deep-fried aquatic creatures, heaped atop a fair amount of fried okra. I ordered the slaw, to accomplish my goal of eating a serving of vegetables every week. The slaw is very good. Nothing was exceptional. The fish filets, more like fish cigars were fair. The shrimp. There was something about the shrimp. Maybe not fresh, maybe the seasoning. Something... I just don't know. I was hoping that I would not have to deal with gastronomical distress tomorrow. Not a problem, I have a digestive system that a buzzard would envy. An uneventful passage. The restaurant is clean the service is friendly. Order at the counter, pay for a numbered card. Fill your drink cup, attach the number to the top of the paper towel holder and wait. The food arrives soon with a basket of sauces. I couldn't find one out of the bunch that I liked. The restaurant has good reviews and I respect the rating reviewers have given. It just didn't tickle my taste buds.
