The chia seeds were dry rather than fully hydrated, and consuming dry chia seeds on their own is generally discouraged because they absorb liquid after being eaten. One final suggestion: please include menu prices on your website. It makes it much easier for customers to decide before visiting.

If you head to this location, it's easier to park on the side of the road. Parking in front of the building is limited and can be a challenge to get out. Also, seating is located outside on the patio only.

Food has always been reasonably good and well prepared but the service has gone from much too spotty and hurried /sorta OK to almost none at all. Several wait staff running willy nilly trying to keep up with bussing tables without drink stations or quick means of getting basics to tables, little things like menus, water or even a greeting of any sort. Want a coffee re-fill? Sure just get up and get it yourself...if you can get the first one that is. Meanwhile the same overloaded constantly running small wait staff have to man a sort of deli looking counter that all things except cooking need to come from, huge pinch point, confusion reigns. I gave up after twenty minutes of not even being recognized in any way. It's great that they are experiencing a growth of business since they have now lost mine which started from their beginnings easier right now to get new customers than keep old ones.I doubt they will miss it since pretty clearly they don't care. Avoid at all costs from 11:30 to 1:00 if you have any sort of time schedule to meet. Waiting until 1:00 doesn't help either except you do get to look at quite a few dirty tables while you are completely ignored and there is the constant running back and forth that makes any sort of relaxed atmosphere hopeless. Go in at 2:00? Nope they are still digging out of the mess and clearing is now more important than customers still waiting. Plan on investing at least another ten minutes in trying to pay your bill. The wait staff has to handle that too. Funny they aren't made to paint and do janitor work too...maybe? I'm sure the owner will find it in his/her heart to blame the help but maybe he/she should consider hiring more and make the place work instead of trying so hard to be charming and rural. I feel totally sorry for the wait staff, they try their best. Never going back and I hope your experience is better, I've learned the hard way over many visits. read more

I hadn't been out this way recently and I didn't realize the Trough was here. I went for lunch on a week day and I was very pleasantly surprised. The décor was a perfect fit for the concept, which is the local olde dairy here in Missoula. It has all the right qualities to be a hit and secret favorite of the locals. I hope the location doesn't make it too hard for them to get a lot of business because I want to see them succeed. Since it was my first visit I spent a bit looking over the menu on the board above the counter. There were a lot of appealing options and you had the option to build your own sandwich too. Early morning also has breakfast options. The friendly cashier saw my indecisiveness and recommended the day's special which was philly cheese steak. I got that. The wait wasn't super short but it wasn't too long for a quick in and out lunch either. The food was tasty. Afterward I got an espresso to go and I left very happy. read more

My daughter and I had the worst experience. While waiting in a long line of customers a lady and her kids walked right up and said they knew the owners. Surprisingly the staff did absolutely nothing and served her while no less than 5 people were in line. My 6 year old knows better. Absolutely astonished. Apparently this is acceptable within the business. I will not, or ever support this business and will tell this to everyone I know.
