It was definitely a home-y feel with the paper on the table (which wasn't long enough for our table tbh) and the complimentary buttered popcorn and the food served in a bag and bucket. It was very cute-sy. I got the crab cake basket because I was lazy and didn't feel like taking apart crab legs and they were FULL of Crab meat! but my friend got crab legs and shrimp (without the head) and it was delicious. I tried the shrimp. The sauce was a bit spicy, so if you can't handle spice, be warned. It was served with potatoes and corn. It was way too much food, so she got leftovers. They also brought her gloves and a bib because it was messy to take apart the crab shells and the shrimp. My other friend got the fish basket and loved it. We also enjoyed a few cocktails. I was very excited to try the food here and it was my birthday! I was at the mall shopping and decided to go here due to it being located in the mall. The shrimp were extremely mushy and falling a part in my fingers as I tried to peel them, the shells were stuck to the shrimp and were hard to remove. The shrimp were very dirty/grimly. Which means I was not able to eat the whole shrimp, the corn was mushy as well. This is the worst seafood boil in a bag restaurant/food I have had. The staff was nice. read more

Loved it! I honestly never heard of a boil before today. It was pretty darn tasty. They start you off with some freshly buttered popcorn if you're into that sort of thing. There's a bit of a wait for the food but that tells me that it's being prepared fresh. It was worth the wait. Three nice lobster tails & corn in that twisted liquid. Next time I'll double up in the corn. I'll definitely explore this boil more in other places but this really hit the spot and is now on the list when here on business. There are TVs in the bar but no sound. I think that should change. It's in a lonely part of the mall which is great for parking. Besides the table we were sat down at with the weird one chair next to a log...this place is delightful. Seriously...horrible table, fix that lol I got the twisted sauce with my crab & sausage combo with level 3 spice (there are 4 levels if spiceness). 1. 3rd level of spice is not spicy at all 2. The twisted sauce has a garlic butter sauce in it...which made the sauce kind of oily...so next time, no butter for me. 3. Flavor is amazing 4. Prices are great 5. They should get better tools, the nutcracker is primitive, they have better tools out now 6. Im going to eat here often 7. Customer service was really good and the place was very clean. Where do I start??? 1) the floor was so greasy that I couldn't even put my feet down off the table stands without sliding. 2) who wants a Bloody Mary??? A 12 oz glass of vodka with a splash of Bloody Mary mix?? That is totally undrinkable 3) classic margarita anyone??? That is also almost all alcohol and totally undrinkable. I was upset leaving here, only because I just can't wait to come back. The Twisted Crab Sauce is the sauce you want order, and Sunday is all day happy hour, by the way! I had ordered calamari and Cajun fries to start with. The calamari was served hot and fresh, straight from the fryer to the table. The calamari didn't have a chance on our table, every bite we had taken out of this basket was a hot, fresh one. I'm glad my table ordered a side of lemons for our waters, since the calamari wasn't served with one. It does however come cocktail and tartar sauce. The main event: the boil bag. The absolute star of the evening. The spice level of medium I had selected was the perfect spice level to add to their Twisted Crab Sauce, which is a combination of all the butters they offer for their boil bags. I ordered their snow crab legs, and added on a 1/2 pound of sausage to my order. They also included a piece of corn for me, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I just wish they had included both the potato and corn in their side pieces of the boil bag, and not make us choose over both. I just cannot get over the flavors of their Twisted Crab Sauce, which is why I wish they had added more sides! I'll be back though, because for my next visit, I'll order hush puppies to dip in the butter too! Can't wait! read more

Delicious. The food at this restaurant is very delicious. Whenever I'm in the mood for a nice saucy bag of seafood, this is my first choice.I've only had the seafood bags which includes shrimp, crab, potatoes and corn. Always delicious no matter the sauce. I've never had any issues with customer service, however, the wait time is outrageous sometimes. Small changes to operations could definitely benefit the business and make customers happy. Went here about 2 weeks ago and just remembered to do review. Yummy! Ordered one pound of crab legs with potatoes. Got all of the sauces combined with mild spice . I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food(like I can eat hot Cheetos and dasssit). The food had no spice which I'm okay with. It was hot and tasted fresh. 1 pound of crab legs is two clusters. The sausage is so good too which there was plenty of. The potatoes inside the bag are freaking huge. Dipping that sweet crab in butter set it off. I've been here two times and have had two completely different experiences. The first time we went was on a trip to visit some family back in August, as we were living in California. That experience was great! The service was prompt and the food was excellent. Guests were seated with appropriate space due to the pandemic, and the restaurant was busy despite the situation. Even though it was on the busy side, we got our food pretty quick and it was worth the wait. I always order crab boils at this type of establishment and Twisted Crab does it right! The 'twisted sauce' is the way to go and I would order additional corn if you love corn on the cob. It absorbs all the flavors from the seafood and mixed with some of that twisted sauce, it's a slam dunk. The lobster tail was a little bit overcooked, which made it hard to get out of the shell, but the flavor was still good. Now, I'll talk about my less than great second experience. I went in there recently with my wife, nursing a hangover and wanting some good food to soak up the previous night's debauchery. I ordered a margarita (as some of you know, sometimes it's keep the party going or lay on the bathroom floor all day) to ensure that my food would go down without any issues, and permit me to enjoy my meal. I ordered that drink when we ordered our waters. The water came out, my drink did not. I brought it up to the waitress and she told me the bartender was making it. I thought okay, not a big deal. Twenty minutes go by and I had not seen my server since she dropped off the waters. Both of our glasses were empty, so I decided to go hunting for some service. I'm very much of the belief that if I'm doing your job for you, there's no reason for me to be generous when you hand me the bill. I approached the bar and saw my mostly melted margarita sitting there with some sad looking ice floating at the top, along with a half inch of water sitting at the top. Clearly, he had finished making it a while ago. I approached the bar tender and asked him if I could just take it myself, but he ensured me my server would bring it to me-- and she did, about five minutes later. To Twisted Crab's credit, she did arrive with a complementary additional shot of tequila, which I very much appreciated; although, a new drink probably would've been more fitting given the circumstances. When we received our food, I noticed that our potatoes were really small and again, the lobster was over cooked. The shrimp had not been veined well either, which is a little off putting. The crab was great, twisted sauce was still amazing, and despite that last experience, I'll definitely be back-- but I won't be ordering anything from the bar. The drinks are a little expensive and your server may or may not bring it to you. Personally, I'd save give it ten minutes and then go say something. They'll hook it up with a shot on the house if you do. read more

My daughter and I stopped in for the first time back on May 2022. It was our first time here. Not crowded at all. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Waitress came right over. I didn't get her name but she was very kind, stayed on point, food came out fast. Everything tasted amazing! We both got the boil bag with, Crab legs, shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausage. I don't understand why it was so packed, the sauce didn't make the food taste good. The pricing methods aren't as good neither. My partner and I shared a bag/pot with the twisted sauce and the fried shrimp basket. Here is the good, the bad and the ugly: The Good- the twisted sauce is delicious, the fried shrimp are light, fluffy and crispy, the onion rings were great and the drink specials are pretty good. The Bad- paper plates and plastic forks? Really? They also don't give you a cracker. Good luck using that plastic fork. We did see a couple next to us ask for one and got it, but you shouldn't have to ask for a utensil to eat crab legs when you are eating crab legs. The crab legs were not the best quality either. They were not plump and several were empty are contained very little meat. It's very disappointing to work so hard for little to nothing. The ugly: The sauce was really oily. They give you a bib and gloves, but having to fish through the oily sauce for your food is a bit unappealing. We also had to wait for a bit to get our drinks. We sat in the bar area, several people did, and the poor bartender had to take care of all the drinks and food in that area as well as drinks for the rest of the restaurant. He was getting slammed while people I assume to be owners or managers walked around arranging napkins. Why not lend a hand? That would have improved my rating by at least one star. Having to wait so long was aggravating. Bottom Line: Buy better crab legs, invest in real silverware and crab leg crackers and help each other out to improve customer service. I would recommend this place, but they definitely have room to grow. read more

The corn had no flavor even with all the seasoning on it, water was bursting through the corn with each bite... The popcorn was very dry and hard... stale even. What will keep me away the most is the statement of: no refunds, no returns in yellow on the menu. This is the food service industry, and a lot of times the mark can be missed. Customers should be allowed to return things to the kitchen. I don't see this policy going over well with many. I didn't attempt to give feedback on the food because, I knew that per the menu nothing would be done. Head over to Shaking Crab if you want flavorful, fresh food with experienced chefs. read more

My fiancé had the shrimp basket w fries and a order of crawfish, he said that the shrimp was fried to perfection but it had no flavor. It was his first time trying crawfish and he wasn't impressed (because it's ugly, a lot of work and minimal meat ). But, WHY IN THE WORLD ARE YOU SERVING THAT AWFUL POPCORN? We tried the garlic butter sauce and the twisted sauce. Both needed lots more garlic and much more sauce. All in all the flavors are good but need just a bit more punch.
