Our senior group went to Twisted Fork on a weeknight. Service was great! Water was brought immediately and our beverage orders taken. They have a better than average wine list--including Moscatel and Viognier! It took us a while to decide on whato order. Several ordered fish and chips which they really liked. Others ordered the espresso burger, but I ordered the small plate lamb meatballs and the roasted artichoke, both of which were delicious! No one ordered dessert but I went for a hot buttered rum which was outstanding! When we first walked in it brought back a vibe that a favorite restaurant of ours in NH. That was winning right there! Our server Anjee was a flipping angel. My husband informed her that I had Celiac Disease before I could. She was quick to point out all the gluten free options available and that it would be coded immediately! When our food came the manager Jason came and told us that the Caesar dressing had Worcestershire sauce in and he knew it was brewed with soy, he was quick to offer an alternative for my salad instead of Caesar dressing I could have the Ranch which was gluten free! He also instructed that the kitchen staff make a fresh one from scratch! This is one of the best Happy Hour menus ever encountered! The food is described as Modern American cuisine with a twist! Th fish and chips are plentiful and crispy, flaky and tasty. The artichoke dish with arugula salad is delectable. The house made humus had delicious flavors such as Parmesan cheese and lemon. It was served with a platter of fresh vegetables and warm pita bread. The chicken tenders and French fries were crispy and delicious. The Cole slaw is absolutely fresh and tasty with slices of green apples to give it a sour, crispy extra taste. The strawberry sorbet was fresh and delicious with a tart twist. The brownie with vanilla ice cream certainly finished off the evening. The drink specials during happy hour are varied and plentiful . The specialty drinks are unique and tasty. The service is professional, proficient and personable, most notably is Nancy, who was our waitress. Many others assisted her bringing our dishes and drinks. The decor is pleasing and colorful. Whenever I think of a phenomenal salad Twisted Fork comes to mind. I asked a coworker about getting together for lunch and had a few suggestions. I mentioned Twisted Fork but was told about a previous experience and the prices. I shared I had a blue cheese pear salad and after some back and forth it was a go! We fumbled our way through the parking lot as we were going with our internal navigation which was off haha but upon finding it the parking lot was full...I stated maybe it's for RC Willey? But no it was bustling in Twisted Fork, we were offered small table seating in the middle of the restaurant or the high tables by the bar, we went with that as it was the perfect tucked away spot to relax but also get good eats on. I went with what I ordered last time- the Pear blue cheese salad, add grilled chicken and it was magnifico. I loved the spirit of christmas in the decor and the bar signage was hilarious. I think this is a great restaurant, although it's a little on the pricier side I'm really glad (well we both were) at our lunch items. My coworker even stated she loved her Thai chii salad so it was a win! The waitress was super attentive and it was very welcoming in both entering and leaving the establishment. Ok so the wife and I been wanting to try this place. We got there it was happy hour the vibe is really cool. Staff and service was amazing. The food was so good. We had a large group come, and the general consensus from everybody was that the food was mediocre, and certainly overpriced for the quality. Unfortunately, despite making reservations, first thing in the morning, our cable was not set up, and when we asked for anything from the appropriate amount of menus to water, we were met with what seem to be very disgruntled workers. Throughout our dining experience, they were never full nor packed yet there was constant cleaning around us, and I myself had to tell them. I was not done with my plate several times as people started to get up, they told us they needed the table again, even though there was plenty of seating all around.it seemed as though everyone was having a really bad day or we annoyed them somehow Since gone back with a slightly smaller group and didn't have much different of an experience, unfortunately so I would say for me I would prefer a different location that has better food and better service at this time. We came here to separate occasions, and we totally loved both times! The location is in South Reno and it's so beautiful especially the patio seating is really nice. Definitely recommend if the weather permits! The service is so spectacular here I always get asked if there's anything else I need and I really do appreciate that because it's better than hunting a server down for sure. The food is spectacular. We opted for an indoor booth, then started with adult beverages while we considered food items. Decided on the chopped BLTA salad and tamal de champiñón. Salad was pretty standard but oh my! The texture and flavors of the tamal were outstanding! Next up, the burrata and the hummus. Both were terrific! Packed up leftovers to save room for the dessert. TBH the pandemic put a pause on my love affair with TF. Add in young children and it has honestly been a minute since I dined here for dinner, so when friends suggested we go, I was all about it. I was looking forward to the enthusiastic and friendly service, the boisterous dining room, the big small plates, and the typically delicious list of daily specials created by the talented culinary team here. We were a party of 6 on a Friday night without a reservation. Knowing how packed this place has always been in the past, I called to jump on the waitlist only to find they weren't on a wait. Strange. We arrived to find the place pretty empty. Quite a surprise to me. It took away from the experience a bit in all honesty. The energy just wasn't there. We were seated right away in the back of the dining room and our server came to greet us and take drink orders. I had the barrel aged Manhattan (can't remember the actual name) and my wife had a great agave forward cocktail with a kick from mezcal, which I liked even more than my own. The server was thorough and friendly, but she lacked the energy of servers we've experienced before. I'm assuming this was due to the overall vibe that night because they are always on their game and I know they train a lot! All the greatest hits are still available, along with a few new items. As with everywhere, the prices have gone up on nearly everything, which shouldn't shock me, but it did. We went with our usual big small plates order of shrimp tamal, ceviche, cauliflower ceviche, and we decided to try the chile verde and mushroom tamal too. Friends had never seen these dishes so it was fun to share it all. Friends ordered the surf and turf special at $44, which looked and sounded great, but I noticed a pile of the ribeye trimmed off and some partially chewed on the side of both of their plates. These friends are ranchers, and they did mention it was tough to the server and in top service fashion, she quickly offered them something new, but they declined since we were all done and almost ready to roll. Everything we ordered was tasty, as usual, but with the price increases and the overall vibe, it just hit different. I will still come back, but I hope to see it return to its heyday soon. read more

This place is a good place for smaller portions and a good variety of food. I had the burrata and artichoke plates and both were fantastic! The burrata was nice and light, especially with the balsamic glaze. It came with bread but it was yummy without it. The artichokes are smaller chunks but this was my favorite between the two dishes. I loved how refreshing the artichokes were and didn't feel at all heavy (they're stuffed). Definitely is a place to check out if you're in the South Reno location. Pro tip: eat outside when the weather is nice. There's some nice views of the mountains but be aware of the construction going on right now. Service was good, our server actually helped me choose my plates but to be honest, I could have been full from one of these plates so no need to get multiple dishes. You will leave full! read more

Dinner for four was mediocre at best. we waited twenty minutes for a server to greet us and spoke so fast rattling off the dinner specials. I ordered a bottle of Angels and Coyboys and Angels Zinfandel off the menu but got Red Blend instead. Restaurant was noisy and my meal served at room temperature. we asked for Parmesan cheese and never got it. My point is if you're dropping Two Hundred dollars for dinner you should receive good service and hot food. Another South Meadows classic - The Twisted Fork! I've been going here for years, since college, and have had many lunches/dinners with colleagues and friends. Now I finally can get a review in. This evening, my husband and I opted for their big-small fares, the pastor pork tacos and the steak chili! Both of which were packed with flavor and equally delicious. The pork tacos have been my favorite since I first had them at a happy hour. Don't be thwarted at the size, the big-small plates are PLENTY of food, even when shared. One thing to note, their entree's are delicious and with a large portion. The big-small plates are good enough to eat without feeling overly stuffed. In addition, the restaurant has a cozy vibe to it. I'd consider it elevated casual, without it being too daunting. There's a bar area too that you can enjoy with a group. In addition, for larger groups, they do have an area for you to take over for any occasion. The service was straightforward. This is a pretty good place. I think I would've rated it higher if my food would've tasted a bit better. I got huevos rancheros but they just didn't quite hit the mark for me. Maybe I'm being too picky. I think it's still 100% worth trying out if you're on the fence. It was very nice inside very clean and the staff were super friendly.
